Regina Honda

At time of sale I said no life/disability insurance. I was charged for same. I signed request for refund in 2010, paperwork was not followed throughOn March 13, 2010 I purchased a 2010 Honda Civic Sport 4 door car from Regina Honda. At time of purchased the financial manager [redacted] is the one who assisted us. At this point we said no life and disability insurance. [redacted] understood this. He then showed us a form that was not filled out and had myself and my co-signer [redacted] sign to say that we denied Life and Disability insurance. When we got home I knew something wasn't right so I looked at the contract again once I got home and it said that I purchased life and disability insurance. I phoned the next day to let them know my concern and 5 days later I signed a request for refund with the insurance companies logo. And had the understanding that I will be paying the same per month but my term will be less. I thought this was taken care of until April 16, 2014 , when I found out that I still have life and disability insurance. [redacted] contacted Regina Honda. Told me to come in. I went in on April 17,2014 gave a sales consultant [redacted] a copy of my request for refund contract he then told me to go to [redacted]. [redacted] then told me to contact the insurance company which is [redacted] the insurance company told me there is nothing they can do and I have to contact Regina Honda. I emailed the operational manager [redacted] and let him know of the details and concerns of my complaint. I have yet to hear from him. I have also contacted [redacted] and made a formal complaint. [redacted] Desired SettlementI expect for the life and disability charges to be refunded in full plus the interest and in the end having the car payed off prior to March 12,2015 as was informed when the Request For Refund was signed. I bought a new car on July 23.Life insurance was included in the price without my knowledge.I went back July 24 and had it cancelled and was told I would be refunded 100%.I called the insurance company August 27 and they knew nothing about it. I went back to Regina Honda and they said they sent it July 25 and I would still get 100%. He faxed it again. I talked to the insurance company today,Sept.4 and was told I would receive the refund less 781.43 because they just received it. [redacted]Desired SettlementI want the full amount refunded either from the insurance company or Regina Honda!Business Response According to our records the insurance refund should be with the client by now and indeed was late in reaching the consumer. I apologies for the delays and the miscommunication with the client. If the consumer has not received the cancellation please advise and it will be handled immediately. In lieu of the lateness of response and funds not reaching the client. I would like to offer Mr [redacted] 2 free oil changes on his vehicle, these services will be completed by Regina Honda. I did receive the check on Sept. 28. I had to endorse it and mail it to Honda finance to put against my loan. I spoke with them today and they told me they would endorse it and send it back to me and I could deposit it and use online banking to pay against my loan. [redacted]
