Review: Overcharged fees: DMV fee to register vehicle $74.00. total fees charged by registration express to register my vehicle was $77.00.(Literally fees cost more then total registration cost). Also had title transfer which DMV charges $15.00 total, registration express fees as folows:electronic transfer fee DMV $15.00-Transfer registration fee $68.00-DMV forms (9)total:5,101,135,156,172,256,260,4008,4017B,charged $22.00(I looked up these forms on DMV website and none pertained to transferring vehicle title)I wasn't missing any documents which might have required more application, I had the title, and the owner with me to transfer ownership. A simple transaction.-I was charged misc.fee of $20.00-a form audit fee $15.00-and transaction completion ADR fee $23.00.(I WAS CHARGED $163.00 TOTAL FOR TRANSFERRING A VEHICLE TITLE TO MY NAME)Overcharged fees $148.00 for registration express to file an application for a title transfer. I had not realized the added fee charges until I got home when I called the business to speak to a manager about the excessive fees, the representative that overcharged refused to give me the name and said there was no manager on duty and she would help me.I told her I was going to report this because I want to dispute these fees as I was quoted fee charged per each transaction cost $32.00. In conclusion total cost to have a signed title, no leinholders, transfered into my name total amount charged $163.00. Furthermore to register my car cost me $74.00 and the fees charged by registration express for this transaction cost me $77.00 (fees cost more then registration renewal amount)Desired Settlement: I would like to receive refund as to the fees charged without explanation aND not quoted. I was charged for fees not relative for services provided.I would not have gone to registration express if I had been quoted more then the simple transaction fee of 32.00. At best I would like to know what those misc. fees were for as the cost was not for the service they provided.

Review: Knowingly has over charged for services on several ocassions. I had in trusted them for several of my vehicle transactions, and started finding gross over charges, as to what a normal DMV Charge would be. Just on a normal transaction would be at least double of what DMV would charge. But what broke the camels back. Was a small new utility trailer that, I had purchased from Harbor Frieght, along with someone who purchased the same exact trailer a 4x8 ft. He took his to DMV & was charged $28 to register it. I took mine to Registration express, and with all there added fees was over $323.00 almost 10 times. This is stealing. I contacted the owner about what was going on. & wanted to meet with him personaly and he blew me off. I know what they do is try and hide charges thru all there fee charges. But in reality. They charge customers what they feel they can get from them. Not just a fixed fee. There charges alone for the trailer was more than the trailer cost ??? I have spent thousands there & now know I was way over charged for services.Desired Settlement: A fair refund.

Review: I went to the Registration Express Group at 1895 Hilltop Dr, Suite 101 to obtain the registration on two old vehicles 10/07/2011. The process was complex and I was assured it could be handled successfully at that location. On January 4, 2014 I returned to that office to collect all pertinent paperwork to take to the DMV to complete the process myself and request refund of $65 for a VIN Verification which had been paid for but not completed.I was informed that the original paperwork had been lost in the Sacramento office of Registration Group but that they would search for it. The owner was to call me the next day about the paperwork and refund. As usual no call was made to me so I went into the office late in the afternoon. The owner refused to refund my $65 stating I would have to bring the VIN Verification I had completed by someone else for him to see before he would consider making the refund. He inferred that no one else could complete the VIN Verification forms in a manner that would satisfy the DMV. I would have been required to load and haul the vehicle to his business. Other VIN verifiers come to your home. The original paperwork had not been found so I was given the copies they had kept locally. Sadly, one item they lost was a "pink slip" from 1934-irreplaceable and valuable in the history of the 1927 vehicle. His attitude was quite hostile and he was antagonistic. To avoid a confrontation I left. The following Tuesday both vehicles were registered at the DMV. I wrote the Registration Group a letter requesting the refund of $65 by February 15, 2014 and have received no response. I had been required to pay for a VIN VerificatioDesired Settlement: Registration Group will refund my $65.
