Review: My son [redacted] is attending this summer camp which is affiliated with the after school program that my son goes to. We were given a contract that states the amount of $890 which includes: Lunch served at [redacted] & snacks given at the summer camp. I also paid an additional $90.00 for 4 weeks of swimming lessons. My son informed me last night that there will be no lunch or swimming lessons as of Aug **, 2013. I called summer camp and spoke to owner [redacted] and she confirmed this information. We have never received notification. I did question the fact that I did pay for these services in full and she argued that the school that provided lunch closed and swimming facility is closed too. She kept insisting that all other summer camp programs will be closed starting Monday 8/**/2013 and their program is the only one that stays open whole next week. I believe that I and other parents should have received notification before we paid for these services that there will be only 3 weeks of swimming instead of four and that there will be no lunch provided last week of August. Because on the contract it stated that these services will be provided till August [redacted], 2013. I believe that they should refund some of my money back since they are not providing all services that were mentioned in the contract.Desired Settlement: I believe that I should be refunded $22.00 for one week of non provided swimming classes for my son. And a $100.00 for one week of non provided lunch for my son.

First of all let me say that we have the utmost respect for [redacted], and hope to be able to clarify all service issues that she has raised.

1. Tuition: $890 was the tuition for four weeks of 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM, daily Program Payment received $890X2= 1780.

However [redacted] attended 9 weeks, the max length of the program, from July [redacted] to August [redacted]. for this program the tution fee was $1950, see the attached application.

Tuition balance owed :$1950--$1780= $170

2 Swimming Instructional Program. This is an optional program, That had an extra tuition fee of $90 per four weeks, or $180 per

8 weeks of program. The program ran from July [redacted] to August [redacted],( max. Eight weeks); Four times a week, Monday to Thursday.

[redacted] was not signed up for this program, but on July [redacted] he was signed Up, and he participated until the last day of the program on August [redacted]. Tuition paid $90X2=$180

Required tuition: lets say for 7 weeks=7X180/8=$157.5

Tuition credit:$180--$157.5=$22.5

3. Lunch program: The parents needed to sign their child to the program. The lunch was provided free of charge, by USDA, at [redacted], across the street from our school. Students who did not want the lunch program, brought their own lunch and ate it at our school.

School tuition for students who participated in the lunch program was the same as the tuition for the students who brought their lunch from home.

The lunch program ran for eight weeks from july [redacted] to August [redacted].we were under the impression that the program will run for nine weeks, however we have found out on August [redacted]a, that the last day for the program will be on August [redacted]. We have advised the students about it and asked them to tell their parents to send lunch for the week of August [redacted] to August [redacted].

As it was the choice of the parents to use the free lunch program, there is not an issue of tuition for this program.

In summary:

1. Outstanding tuition balance for nine weeks program $ 170.00

2. credit for swimming program (one week) $ 22.50

3. lunch program (no adjustment for the free program) 0

Total Tuition fee owed the school $ 170-22.5= $ 147.5
