Did an excellent job installing my new central heating and air unit. When I found a slight issue they came back promptly and corrected the issue.

Can't stress enough. . . stay away from Reichelt Plumbing! I had used them before (many years ago), but never again. I called to get an estimate for installation of a new kitchen faucet. The rep informed me that "they really need to look at the job." I told her I had the new faucet, and just needed one of their plumbers to swap them out. Again, she said it was impossible to give me a "guesstimate" without the tech looking at the job, and that the fee to come out would be waived if the job was completed. The fee was competitive with the fees quoted to me by two other local plumbers I had called. So, the tech came out and promptly asked if I had used their services before. I explained that I had, but it was many years ago at our previous home. He said, "So you know we are very expensive!" I asked what the estimate was to simply remove the old faucet and install the new one. He looked in his book, and said it was a "flat rate fee" for this type of job. A reputable company would have explained this during my initial call. Of course, Reichelt did not. The reps, who answer their phones, are well coached. When the tech quoted the flat rate fee, I almost fell to the floor. It was outrageously high! As I was still standing there speechless, with my mouth gaping open, he had started writing up the invoice for the charge to come out to my house to do nothing. I called Meyer's Plumbing in Griffith, IN as he was pulling out of my driveway. Within an hour, a nice, professional tech came to my house, finished the job in about 20 minutes, and charged LESS THAN HALF what Reichelt's flat rate fee was. After my disappointing experience, I saw other reviews from folks who had also fallen victim to this scam. Even after paying the fee to Reichelt to do nothing but walk in and quote a charge that no one can afford, we still saved around $200 by going with Meyer's. Live and learn.
