Initial Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2015/09/21) */
Good Afternoon Natalie,
Please see attached and comments below:
Customer came into our design centre and selected the laminate in question for their home. The label on the sample said that it was 16 mm thick. The actual...

boards are 8 mm thick. (16 does not exist) The product has not changed, it was a typo from the label printer company.
We installed the laminate that was specified in the contract , but homeowner insists that because it is not 16 mm thickness, it will wear out too soon.
The product is [redacted], made in Germany. It is among the top laminates in the world, if not the best. The thickness of the core does not reflect ANY of the product's wear-ability. The surface and the density of the core are the factors that affect this and [redacted] is unsurpassed in these areas.
The supplier of the laminate offered the customer $300 as a good will gesture since the label was printed incorrectly. The product ordered was what was installed in the home.
attached Line 28 of our change order for the hardwood. (no size specified)
Hopefully this is the information that you require - if you need anything further, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2015/09/22) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
When we go to buy a brad or any other product we have a label by which we choose the product. Once we don't get described product we have a right to return or change it. The laminate was chosen by label and it's our right of customers to decide what is the important thickness or quality of product. I'm not accepting $300 and had asked to change the laminate for at least 12mm thickness or credit which will allow floor changing.

This lady is not our customer, and we do not have a record of the original Revdex.com letter, however, I have personally dealt with her concern as she had called me directly.  Her yard is adjacent to one of ours...

and weather has finally permitted us to touch up her fence grade.  To my knowledge, she is happy with the results.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2015/10/19) */
To address the line items...
[redacted] has been out to the home, and was waiting to hear from them whether or not they wanted to proceed as the grout was going to be a different shade (possibly each side is waiting for the other?) ...

[redacted] has been contacted again.
The back door adjustment and the siding/roofing issue are both booked for next Tuesday the 13th. Customer is aware of this.
Windows are cleaned..
Unsure of the window problem. [redacted] sent us a bill back in February so it appeared they were fixed. We did not hear from the owner until this last month about this. [redacted] has been contacted again to go back out. This is tentatively booked for Oct 28. (waiting for the home-owner's acceptance of the date)

Customer and warranty department have had several emails back and forth in the past 2 months, not sure why they say they cannot get a response.
The bathroom sink was not reported until the year end warranty visit and therefore deemed not under warranty.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,
[redacted]
I am happy that after two months Reid Built decided to do their job and my grade was finally fixed, however I told the construction admin [redacted] and construction manager [redacted] multiple times that I had property line stakes and final grade stakes placed before we knew the grade was damaged. I told both [redacted] and [redacted] that these stakes existed and that I was NOT! going to pay $750 a second time to have them replaced if they get plowed over. [redacted] and [redacted] assured me that the grading company knew of the stakes and that they wouldn't move or damage them. Unfortunately they must not have contacted the grading company at all because every single one of these stakes has been plowed over. We had these stakes placed at the request of our landscaping company and will now have to guess because of Reidbuilts lack of communication and customer service. I am very unhappy and dissatisfied with the customer service of this company and the lack of communication they seemto have amongst each other.
I would like Reidbuilt to acknowledge that they screwed up and have my property line stakes and final grade stakes replaced.
