The installer did not mention any unleveling of the floor until he was % of completing the job towards the back hallway. The installer did not suggest leveling out the floorHe did not even suggest that the subfloor need to be replaced only after I noticed the problem and brought it to his attention. I have pics to prove that he could have and should have floated the tile mortar better. The mortar was very thick on the corner which cause the it to be unlevel. The installer volunteered to add the transition strips due to the fact that he did not put it in the contract invoice. This was his doing and I did pay for it but did not receive any recommendation from the sales reps ( whoever they may be). I the homeowner, followed the directions on drying time of the grout and did not mop any floor do to that I know the process of this type of job as he is aware of.The installer said if I had any problems to let him know and he would take care of it. He made a trip out to my home and he inspected the areas and said he knew what I was talking about and that he would repair it. Why would he have me plastic my hallway area and told me he would be by on Friday morning at 9:am to, May 4th to correct the situationI have text message when I contacted him to say that I would have the plastic ready. He was late as usual and I got a call from Mrs*** at at approximately at 9:am to say he was sick and would not be coming. I stated my concerned to her and she said she would call me back. Well, I never received a call and no response when I called back. The installer admitted that he agreed to fix itThe subfloor did not need to be repaired to repair the tile. The floor has been repaired without modification of the subfloor. The installation was the problemThe installer said that the grout lines would be very narrow and not the width. As you can see in the photo how wide the grout line is on one of the areas of concern. The grout lines are not consistant throughout the hallway and foyer. The photo with the tiles at the doorway transition room shows that the tile is leaning and the grout crumbling. One photo shows where he did not put backerboard or hardy board under the edge of the doorway (this is where I slid a piece of paper underneath to show there was nothing there. With the unsatisfactory job that my husband and I received and the multiple times we were delayed and the correction I had to corrections that I had to make (which I am satisfied with), we should be refunded the final payment we made for the unsatisfactory job that he did and the poor business etiquette which he and his wife presented
Sincerely,

I paid Reid Flooring and Innovations to install laminate and carpet in my homeI paid them $on July 7, I was told our installation date would be on August 21st ( I was given the 7th and the 14th too, but chose the 21st)My husband and I took off work that week to be there for
installationWe received a phone call on the 18th stating that they were running weeks behind and would not be there to installSo I agreed to another installation date of Sept 28thI even got a letter signed by the owners stating if it was not started on the 28th of September, they would reimburse my entire amount I paidOn the 28th they did bring boxes of laminate, but said they could not start until the following day due to they needed to finish another job and I still needed to move things in my house for themwhich I was told they were going to do, but I agreed to do whatever, so I could get my new floorsI stayed up until 1am that evening moving everything off my main levelThis was not an easy task ( 60" TV, couch, loveseat, all tables, closets floors, etc)I did all this just to be informed again on the 29th, they still could not installNow it is Nov 30, and they have spent my money!!! They want me to pay attorneys fees to get my money back and then they want to make paymentsYet I did not make payments to them!!!!! I need my money back, so I can get someone else to install my floors, as I was planning on listing it in September, now I am hoping for MarchPlease help

Our initial contact with the customer was on February 28th when we went to her house to measure her hallway & foyer. The customer had already purchased the tile and we were hired to install it. The install date was March 13th. Once we started to install it, the installer noticed that the...

subfloor was uneven and going on a slant. The installer mentioned this to the customer and told her that he could put self-leveling on the subfloor to make it even. The customer decided to not pay the extra costs for the self-leveling so the installer proceeded to install the tile. The customer also needed new transition strips - which were not part of our scope. The installer received recommendations from our sales reps to determine the best transition strip for the customer. The customer paid for the new transition strips and the installer installed them at no cost. The job was complete and the customer paid the final balance on March 24, 2017. The installer instructed the customer to let the grout dry for 24 hours before mopping the floor. At the end of April, the customer contacted us regarding a few repairs. The installer went back and the customer said that she wanted the four tiles fixed (see photo) - this is where the subfloor was uneven. After discussing the repair with the customer, the installer agreed to fix it. The repair is not a result of poor installation but a result of an uneven subfloor which the customer was made aware of at the beginning of the installation. If the customer would like for the installer to reinstall the four tiles, she would need to have a carpenter fix her subfloor. Once the subfloor is even, we will reinstall the four tiles at no cost to the customer.
