Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I have not yet received a letter confirming that the driveway will be completely redone by the Spring of 2016. In the time it took to respond to this complaint the letter could have been written. When I receive a full refund, or a letter stating that this matter will be taken care within the above stated time frame, I will not close out this complaint. I am hoping that I receive a refund or a letter soon so that this matter can be closed.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I called the office of Reino this morning and spoke to Marissa.  I explained that I was not willing to close this case until I receive a letter stating the work will be done and when it will be completed by.  She told me that they will be getting these emails out as soon as their work season is over.  I feel they caught a break because of the very mild weather and if I wait till spring I will again be told they are very busy with commercial work.  I told Marissa I will close this case when I have something in writing as to a completion date on this work.
Regards,
[redacted]

Good morning, As per our last email, Reino Construction has not sent out any emails. Our season comes to end very soon. Once our season comes to an end and we can focus on emails, you will receive yours. We have a very demanding schedule this time of year. You can count on our word. Marissa will be in the office throughout the winter months. Emails will be going out then.Happy Holidays to you and yours.Reino ConstructionCarmen Reino

Review: In August of 2013, we had our driveway installed by Reino Construction. There was a two year warranty. At first, everything seemed fine and the driveway looked great. However, in the spring of 2014, we noticed that grass was starting to grow through the driveway. The asphalt was soft along the edge. It was on the side of the driveway closest to our house and it was along the outer six inches and extended the entire length of the driveway.

We started calling to complain around May of 2014. Someone came to the house to take pictures and we were told that someone from from Reino would be calling us soon. After two weeks, I called and spoke to [redacted] and was told that she would speak to [redacted] the owner)and that he would call us back later that day. I received no call. Two weeks later I called and spoke to [redacted] again and it was the same conversation...that he would call later that day. He never called. This went on for several months.I called approximately every two weeks.

One day out of the blue with no warning, a truck pulled up to repair the driveway. Luckily my wife happened to be home. They attempted to begin to repair the driveway. However, they immediately realized that they would literally have to rip out the entire outer edge(approximately twelve inches) for the entire length of the driveway. They tried to patch up the small area that was ripped out but did a bad job. My wife came out of the house and caught them as they were getting ready to leave and made them come back to finish the repair to make it look better. They came back and finished. My wife then called Reino to complain about what had just happened. She talked to [redacted] who proceeded to yell at her and then hang up on her. I called a few days later and talked to [redacted]. She told me that [redacted] would call me later that day. No call! I called about a week later and spoke to [redacted] again...same conversation....and again no call. It was then that I decided to call the Revdex.com and file a complaint.Desired Settlement: First, I would like a phone call. One of the reasons that we picked Reino is because they have a good reputation-even within the paving industry. We were told that they stand by their work and make the necessary repairs to honor their warranty. I don't know why the driveway failed. it could be a combination of several reasons. Unfortunately the driveway may have to be completely ripped out and redone. I don't know. What I do know is that they apparently do not stand by their work and that they do not have the decency to pick up the phone and call. I am extremely disappointed with Reino Construction.

Review: Reino installed a new asphalt driveway along with belgian block around perimeter of driveway in September 2012. A portion of the driveway sank and they attempted to repair 3 times unsuccessfully within this 2 year period. This portion of driveway has now separated from rest of driveway and Reino is unwilling to correct this problem. I have been very patient with Reino. My driveway looks like a road with patched up holes and I am very unhappy. If Reino is still unwilling to correct this problem after this complaint, I will seek compensation through the courts.Desired Settlement: I would like driveway repaired the correct way or a refund for the asphalt portion of the job.

Review: We hired Reino Paving for a complete driveway tearout and new asphalt installation. The following year after installation, severe cracking was observed at the upper portion of the new driveway, with less severe cracking, and a gritty consistency elsewhere over the entirety. After MANY calls Reino returned and cut out a slab of driveway at the top portion where cracking was the worst, and replaced this portion. We were advised that we should not seal this portion of driveway, as it was at this point too late in the season, and the air temperature was too cool. Had the repair been accomplished several months earlier, when I first called to inform Reino of the cracking, perhaps the driveway could have been properly sealed. [redacted] explained that there was only one asphalt supplier in the general area, and that the product he had installed in our situation was not as good as he usually obtains. The following spring, we again observed cracking in the upper, recently replaced, asphalt pad at top of the driveway, which extended completely across the entire driveway width. AGAIN, calls all spring and summer resulted in NO visit by Reino to repair this crack. Finally, in the FALL, [redacted] and crew returned to the site and, using a heating device, repaired this crack, and told us to call back in the spring (April 2014) so that he may return to complete the repair and seal the driveway. I have called Reino (at the office perhaps ten times, as well as [redacted] on his cell phone), and also contacted Reino [redacted] via email to advise that COMPLETION of our job is necessary, per their guarantee. I now observe depressions, waviness in the driveway in the recently replaced pad AND MY CALLS TO REINO HAVE BEEN IGNORED..Desired Settlement: Driveway needs to be professionally replaced/repaired. I may place photos on the web so that prospective customers can see the nature of Reino's work, and also learn of Reino's WORTHLESS guarantee/warranty. The Revdex.com is welcome to look at the driveway to observe the issues I am referring to.

Review: As the end of August, 2014 we had our driveway torn out and redone by Reino Construction. In the spring of 2015 they sealed it as they said this should be done. By early August of 2015 there were major cracks throughout the driveway. I called and spoke with Marissa. There is a one year warranty on the work. She agreed this should not happen and the year was not up. She told me someone would be out to take a look. After a week I called again and was again told it's on the list and they're very busy. I have consistently called and always been told the same thing. At one point I was told Carmen said it's OK if I go elsewhere as he's very busy. I told them I will go elsewhere if they pay for it as it is under warranty. I now said I would wait for Spring for repair but wanted a letter within two weeks (more than ample time to write a letter) stating the problem would be rectified in the Spring. After the two weeks I called again and was told they haven't written any letters yet for 2016. This work was completed the end of August, 2014. I feel I have given them more than sufficient time, and have been more than patient,, as it's now 3 months since I first called them and still nobody has even been here to see the driveway. Marissa has always been polite and sympathetic, but nothing gets done. I keep hearing the file is on Carmen's desk.Desired Settlement: I am no longer comfortable dealing with this company as they do not stand behind their work. I would like my $1995.00 that I paid for this work refunded so that I can hire someone else and have the work done properly. It is cracking all over and did not meet the one year warranty and they did not respond to my many attempts to have them fix it.
