We have Reiss brothers trash hauling since we moved last yearThey always seemed pretty cheap and did a good jobUnlimited recycling and bags of garbage a week for $84/quarter
Last Thursday we had our regular garbage out and My husband could hear them out there yelling “we hate you” at our houseWe didn’t have any large items out (they will charge extra for large items like couches, no biggie)It was a bit comicalstupid college kids, maybe a bag ripped or something
Today we had a lot of recycling outWith the pool getting put in last week we had a ton of cardboard from it but we have unlimited recyclingI hear them pull up around 10:30-I look out, young guys joking with each otherThen one turns to our house yells “I hope you know how much we hate you”, my kids can hear, My daughter gets scaredWe followed the contractI called the company to cancel, receptionist was super nice understood about the cancellation and would call Back about when to pick up the cans
Received a call back, the owner had talked to the boys and is taking their sideThey told the owner that they had been fighting with each other and that we MisunderstoodI saw them and they were not fightingThis is the second time this happened this weekThat is not a fight between boys that only happens outside our houseWe have to pay 50% of the remaining months of the contract (months)They came onto our property, harassed us and we are penalized

The garbage collectors have twice yelled at our house while collecting garbage about how much they hate usTo the point where it frightened my kidsIf we had put out an excess that were more than welcome to notify us of an extra amount for a large itemWe never put out large itemsWe did have some work done to our house and had a lot of cardboard outWhen we signed the contract it was clear we were allowed to to put out unlimited recyclingWe were verbally harassed by the collectors when we clearly followed their rulesWhen called to notify we would obviously be cancelling, the receptionst was more than helpful and understandingShe later called back to say that the owner wouldn’t not allow cancellation because the collectors didn’t admit any wrong doingThey stated that they were just fighting with each otherThey had verbally harassed us on Thursday 6/28/AND on Monday 7/2/I doubt they happened to be fighting with each other both times they happened to pick up our ga

Reiss Hauling and Recycling, IncIs trying to back bill me for trash pick up and hauling service I already paid for going back to March of I was billed for 1x a week drive in service of which I paid in full as of 3/31/ I have been a client of Reiss Hauling and Recycling, Incfor years I have never been late with a payment and have paid for the service I was billed for on a quarterly basis For at least the past two years, I have been billed and paid $a month for drive in trash service Reiss Brothers sent me a bill for back charges of $stating that "it was discovered that this location was receiving a drirecycling service and was not paying for it The account has been billed an extra $a month from March of through February of during the time which the drirecycling service was being used, but not paid for An extra fee of $a month is required in order to have drirecycling service In the beginning of March, th

Hello [redacted],As discussed yesterday, accidently closed my complaint and would like to reopen the file so I can provide my response to Reiss Hauling and Recycling. I am concerned with several incorrect statements made in their response. I question why they would say I did not pay for service in March & April - not true see below. I question why they would say I didn't call to discuss my concerns, when I did and then received an invoice for back charges of $362.00. I question why they are referring to back charging for drive in recycling when their invoice clearly shows what service was billed for on a quarterly basis. Please see below for more details. Also, I am attaching the following documents:O Letter to Reiss to cancel my service and reconcile invoice differences. o Reiss Hauling & Recycling invoices (1XWK Drive in and quarterly timeframe is noted on invoice) o Response to Reiss Hauling and Recycling - see below.1. As indicated in my letter to the Revdex.com paid a quarterly invoice sent to me by Reiss for the last 18 years. I paidfor drive in service until I had a problem with my trash removal in March 2016. When my trash was not removed in early March, I called to find out why and I was told it was because the guy who picked up my trash for 18 years got hurt. New route drivers missed my property two weeks in a row. I called after each time and was promised that my trash would be picked up. It was not picked up until week 3. After my first call to ask why my trash was not picked up, I was told I would need to pay more for the drive in service (more than the $120.00 was paying). I said no thank you and we discussed switching me to curb side service. When asked to be reimbursed for the 2 weeks my trash (trash and recycling) was not picked up, I was told shouldn't complain that I was receiving favors from the guy who picked up my trash for 18 years and could be charged for extra services. I told the young lady on the phone had no idea what she was talking about and how shocked I was at how poorly her company was treating a loyal 18 year Customer.2. In the response to the Revdex.com, Reiss Hauling and Recycling indicated that I did not pay for March or April. In my letter to Reiss, reminded them that they missed my trash for two weeks in March and I wanted to be reimbursed. The young lady told me they would only reimburse me $12.00 dollars paid extra for Q1, which runs January - March. I paid the Q1 invoice in full $120.00, in early January 2016. clearly paid for March in my Q1 payment. I did not pay for April and asked to have my invoice adjusted to Owing 14.00 for the two Weeks of service in April and 2 weeks credit for the missed pickups in March. Note: For years, my trash was faithfully picked up weekly with no issues, received a quarterly invoice for the services and paid the invoice on time every quarter. I was never late with a payment in 18 years. I never discussed any new service or the terms of my service with anyone from Reiss until I had the issue with my trash not being picked up. When found out that they wanted to charge me even more, I said no thank you. Because of how I was treated on the phone and then when I received an invoice for charges back to March of 2013 ($360.00), I decided it was time to end my service with Reiss Hauling and Recycling Inc. My new service charges 69.00 for the exact Same Service Reiss charges $84.00. I am very disappointed that Reiss Hauling and Recycling Inc. is trying to blame me for their ineptness. I have been the recipient of their service and paid for the service I was invoiced for every quarter for 18 years. I didn't change anything and if they did why did they continue to bill me the same amount over and over again without fail or question. I question how I can be responsible for knowing was receiving anything special since I was invoiced and payed for the service I received. I put my trash out, it was picked up, I received a bill and paid the bill. Saying now that in addition to receiving "1XWK drive in" (exact verbiage on invoice) for $120.00 also received drive in recycle service which is an extra charge is absurd. It was not my responsibility to question if I was receiving a service I did not pay for...I received an invoice from Reiss Hauling and Recycling and paid that invoice.Resolution: I would like to have Reiss held accountable to appropriate business practices and not blame mefor their inability to know what services they were providing a customer. Note: my trash and recycling was put on the same truck every week. How would know needed to pay extra for the service they now allege was provided and did not pay for...they invoiced me not the other way around I told Reiss I would pay $14.00 for two trash pickups in April which would allow for the credit asked for due to two missed pickups in March. I am still willing to pay $14.00 but, not the $360.00 back charge they put on my Q2 invoice. Since I canceledmy service effective the end of April, I also will not pay the $84.00 for Q2 service (April - June). I have not received a revised invoice from Reiss Hauling and Recycling Inc.Thank you for your attention to this concern.[redacted]

We are sorry that this customer is not understanding our company's charges/policies nor willing to communicate with us so that we could help her to do so.Our standard service, like other sanitation companies, has all trash and recycling removed from the curb/side of road.  But we also offer...

some different options of upgraded services to satisfy our customer's needs.  Such options include drive-in trash and drive-in recycling services. This customer, as she stated, was receiving and paying for 1x week drive-in trash service for $120.00 per quarter.  However, that service is an upgraded trash service only, recycling pickup is still standard service with pickup at the road.  For those drive-in trash customers who do not want to have any pickups at the road, we also offer a drive-in recycling service for an additional charge of $30.00 per quarter to cover the extra time and cost involved in special services.  (Standard recycling service is included at no charge to all of our residental customers.)We discovered that this customer had been receiving drive-in recycling service in addition to drive-in trash service when she called to say her recycling was missed.  Since there was nothing in her account about drive-in recycling, we followed the process for missed curb pickup.  Only when it was missed again was the actual location of the recycling discussed.  At that point she was back billed for the period of time that Reiss Hauling & Recycling, Inc. had provided her with the optional drive-in recycling service. (The company was taken over by the youngest Reiss Bros in March 2013.)  While she may not have "asked for or agreed to favors", she was clearly unhappy when she was told that she had the option of paying for the drive-in recycling service, or have it picked up at the road.  Obviously she wanted and expected her recycling to be pickup up by her house. If we did not charge her for services that we provided to her, but do charge all the other customers that also opted to have drive-in recycling service, how would that be fair? The customer switched all services to standard curb services and was given the proper credit for that on her account.  After she received the invoice for the previous drive-in recycling, she never called to discuss the matter.  We received a note by mail notifying us that she was terminating all services, but she did not even include the payment for the trash service she received in March and April.

Have had them for over 12 years and never have had a problem! They are the best and very reasonable. Have talked others in the neighborhood to change to them and have been thanked. Just the best.
