Review: Reiter installed a new roof on our property in 2011 and issued a 10 year warranty. The roof now leaks. They looked at it in October but have not returned numerous emails and phone calls.Desired Settlement: Promptly fix the roof so it does not leak and repair the interior wall damage.

Review: I bought my home in October of 2009 and was given a copy of a guarantee dated 11/25/2008 that is good for 15 years as long as the roof is coated every 5 years. There was a storm on 3/10/11 that resulted in a partial collapse of the ceiling in my bedroom. After I faxed REITER ROOFING, INC, someone from the company came out March 15, 2011. Between March 15 and when I called again on April 1, 2011 the problem had not been resolved, so I hired someone else to fix my roof and REITER ROOFING, INC reimbursed me for most of the cost. I explained I was concerned about further damage to my property. This was around the time that I first began to see mold with most of the mold being in the closet in my bedroom.

I faxed again 1/8/12 and when I did not get a response by 1/22/12 I requested permission to hire an outside contractor to fix my roof again and a loud, angry voice mail was left on my phone before someone came out again and the roof was supposed to be fixed again..

On October 5 2012 I consulted an attorney because I could hear water pouring into my home behind the wall in my closet where most of the mold is. I was told that the source of the leak that time was a basketball on my roof and the rain could not drain properly. I had the option of not being charged or to pay to extend the warranty five years, so I paid to extend the warranty by five years and paying $975 as mold returned.

I have a fluorescent lamp in the middle of my room which has rust and mold and it also has cracks around it. There are cracks in the ceiling that were not there before and mold continues to appear and reappear. There is no visible leak, but I can not understand why mold is returning and my ceiling is cracking.

Now, my immediate concern is the mold or other damage spreading to my income producing unit downstairs; my exterminator has already expressed reservations about working in my bedroom because of the mold and whenever he is scheduled I have to check to see if any mold is visible. Even I do not feel comfortable sleeping in my own bedroom and it is not a simple matter of wiping the mold off of the walls as suggested by Mr. Reiter in our conversation when I paid to have the warranty extended.

My bedroom smells like a damp basement and I am constantly changing damp rid to get rid of the odor.

I am asking again to have my roof looked at and repaired.Desired Settlement: That my roof will be repaired.

I [redacted] Reiter owner of reiter Roofing inc. met with the customer today Monday 7-22-13. I spoke with him.

He showed me absolutely no leaks just old cracks and peeled paint in the ceiling.

I explained that if no water shows, and its not wet to the touch the roof is not leaking. he admitted there was no wetness.
