Review: I met with owner Howard R[redacted] and he lead me to believe he was a professional resume writer. I paid $200.00 to have my resume created. When I went to [redacted] Career Center for Workshops on resume writing, I was informed that this resume was a outdated 90's style resume and the formatting was incorrect. In addition, I uploaded this resume onto [redacted].com for a free evaluation and they told me that this resume does not pass the ATS tracking system for online resumes. They also gave me the same evaluation that the certified resume writers did at [redacted] Career Center. When I called Mr. R[redacted] requesting a refund or at the very least a partial refund he said "he is not in the business of giving back money". He wanted me to come in discuss the issue and that the resume writers at [redacted] & [redacted] were incorrect about the resume he created and that I was insulting him and he has been in business for 27 years and has placed hundreds of people. I asked him what does that have to do with resume writing and is he certified to perform this service? He got angry and started yelling and telling me I was not listening. I finally got him to answer my question and he told me that he was not certified to write resumes. Again- he told me to come in to discuss this and I told him that there would be no point because he does not know how to write updated resumes as he falsely told me in our first meeting while creating my resume. I told him since he would not refund me I was sorry to say I would give him a negative review on [redacted]. He hung up. I went on [redacted] to find that two other individual were very dissatisfied with his resume services and when I tried submitting my review-[redacted] stated this company is no longer accepting reviews. I also emailed Howard on a request for a refund with no response.Desired Settlement: Since Howard R[redacted] is not a certified resume writer as I was lead to believe-his resume is of no use to me and I had to hire a real certified resume writer to redo one I already paid for. I would like to be refunded the $200.00 I spent on this service.
