false advertising pants at 40% off, employee said it was jeans only, would not honour what easel advertised
I came into the location in Hamilton, Ontario (***) on October 11th 2018, the only reason for this visit was that they had advertised pants for 40% off and it was a perfect time for me to get some pants for work. As im going through the store I ask the employee are all pants 40% off, she replies with, no just jeans. I said but your easel says pants, not jeans only. she said she could not find the proper paper for jeans so she just put pants instead. I felt that this was misadvertised I even took this issue to their headoffice on two separate occasions since the employees at this location didnt want to help me, the first customer service rep I spoke with took my information and my phone number and told me a district manager would be in touch with me no later than 24 hours. No one called me to follow up on this issue, I called again a few days after the fact and spoke with a rep named ***, who was extremely rude and basically told me he didn't understand why I was calling to complain and that its the store managers issue to deal with. I find this rather comical since the store had absolutely no intentions of price matching what they had advertised. On top of this all there was also a 20% off welcoming email coupon that I was told I could redeem on my next purchase and they also did not honor that either. None of the employees seemed to want to make this right. Very upsetting for such a large company.
