Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] This is a completely false, incorrect and misleading response from Reliable Power Services I purchased this home years ago in I contacted Reliable Power Services at that time to specifically set up annual preventive maintenance, and Reliable Power Services has been quite happy to take my $annually to (allegedly) perform maintenance per this contract (I have copies of all invoices from Reliable Power Services for the past 6+ years) There was absolutely an existing relationship with Reliable Power Services On the night in question when I was requesting service due to my nonfunctional generator, I spoke directly with someone at the appropriate and only provided phone number, that is written on my invoices The person who answered the phone (male, did not identify himself, spoke with him at approximately 8pm as he answered the phone while I was leaving a message) said only that "we'll take care of it" but did not provide any time frame My wife and I both again called Reliable Power Services throughout the next day to leave further messages requesting service, and I explicitly told the person on the phone when I called on Friday, Dec 29th that I had elderly family members and children staying in my home, that I was worried about an upcoming ice storm, and that I wanted the generator fixed as soon as possible That was when I received the Reliable Power Services response of "we'll take care of it." Had the person who answered the phone actually offered an emergency call I would have gladly paid for itMy request is very reasonable - a refund for the amount of the battery There was no misdiagnosis - the battery was not providing current and the positive lead had been connected directly into the battery terminal - no clamp or other connection which seemed extremely unusual Reliable Power Services provided essentially no service, they had a 6+ year existing service relationship with me (I have all invoices clearly showing the dates of service over the past 6+ years...), and I'm simply asking for the refund of the allegedly new battery that was installed that appears to have failed less than months later I suspect that a new battery was not actually installed, or that the wrong type of battery was usedTheir response is incorrect, misleading, and unacceptable Regards, [redacted] ***

We installed and have been servicing this generator for years with minimal troublesRoughly years ago, this customer purchased the home and we continued to maintain the generator located there for themWe never established a relationship with this customer, as we do with most, but have always provided the same professional services. We did receive a call after business hours, at the end of a work week, that the generator was in need of serviceThe customer was informed that we would take care of the generator the next business day (Monday), or they could pay for an emergency callWe offer curtesy follow-ups for customers during business hours, but at no point or time did the customer ask for an emergency repair ($for after hours).Customer did not use emergency number specifically for use after business hours, as provided on company voice mailAs for the battery, it is an interstate automotive battery, that has its own manufacturer's warrantyThis battery meets and exceeds the generator's factory recommendationBattery going bad in first year are not commonIt is most likely the generator's charge control board that caused the battery to discharge, or a bad starting solenoid, as it had to perform in record low temperaturesIt is our belief this competitors technician may have misdiagnosedIt can take a period of time for the owner to recognize this as the new technician appears to be a hero

[If you are rejecting the business's response please enter your rejection comments here.]As many times (as stated by ***) Reliable? was here to "fix" my generator, and despite at least $I paid him, my generator WAS NEVER FIXED!!! A fuel delivery problem was NEVER mentioned to me!! A few weeks ago I had another generator maintenance person examine my generator. In less than an hour, and at no cost to me (He found I was still under warranty), the generator was fixedIt ran non-stop for hours, unlike the less than two hours it ever ran after Reliable? examined it. So the bottom line is, Reliable charges me many dollars to fix my generator,, and never fixed my generator.

This is a completely false, incorrect and misleading response from Reliable Power Services.  I purchased this home 7 years ago in 2011.  I contacted Reliable Power Services at that time to specifically set up annual preventive maintenance, and Reliable Power Services has been quite happy to take my $200 annually to (allegedly) perform maintenance per this contract (I have copies of all invoices from Reliable Power Services for the past 6+ years).  There was absolutely an existing relationship with Reliable Power Services.  On the night in question when I was requesting service due to my nonfunctional generator, I spoke directly with someone at the appropriate and only provided phone number, that is written on my invoices.  The person who answered the phone (male, did not identify himself, spoke with him at approximately 8pm as he answered the phone while I was leaving a message) said only that "we'll take care of it" but did not provide any time frame.  My wife and I both again called Reliable Power Services throughout the next day to leave further messages requesting service, and I explicitly told the person on the phone when I called on Friday, Dec 29th that I had elderly family members and children staying in my home, that I was worried about an upcoming ice storm, and that I wanted the generator fixed as soon as possible.  That was when I received the Reliable Power Services response of "we'll take care of it."  Had the person who answered the phone actually offered an emergency call I would have gladly paid for it. My request is very reasonable - a refund for the amount of the battery.  There was no misdiagnosis - the battery was not providing current and the positive lead had been connected directly into the battery terminal - no clamp or other connection which seemed extremely unusual.  Reliable Power Services provided essentially no service, they had a 6+ year existing service relationship with me (I have all invoices clearly showing the dates of service over the past 6+ years...), and I'm simply asking for the refund of the allegedly new battery that was installed that appears to have failed less than 6 months later.  I suspect that a new battery was not actually installed, or that the wrong type of battery was used. Their response is incorrect, misleading, and unacceptable.  Regards,

We installed and have been servicing this generator for 13 years with minimal troubles. Roughly 3 years ago, this customer purchased the home and we continued to maintain the generator located there for them. We never established a relationship with this customer, as we do with most, but have always...

provided the same professional services. We did receive a call after business hours, at the end of a work week, that the generator was in need of service. The customer was informed that we would take care of the generator the next business day (Monday), or they could pay for an emergency call. We offer curtesy follow-ups for customers during business hours, but at no point or time did the customer ask for an emergency repair ($250.00 for after hours).Customer did not use emergency number specifically for use after normal business hours, as provided on company voice mail. As for the battery, it is an interstate automotive battery, that has its own manufacturer's warranty. This battery meets and exceeds the generator's factory recommendation. Battery going bad in first year are not common. It is most likely the generator's charge control board that caused the battery to discharge, or a bad starting solenoid, as it had to perform in record low temperatures. It is our belief this competitors technician may have misdiagnosed. It can take a period of time for the owner to recognize this as the new technician appears to be a hero.
