Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matterMy view is that this individual is dishonest and unwilling or more likely unable to correct his mistakesI have pictures that show his work and prior to his work showing no paint on the concrete and mitered corners on the original moldings as I had asked them to be done in the replacementI also have electronic communications from him asking me not to touch the railings when I get home as the paint is still wetHow can he paint them in his garage and transport with wet paint? I have responded to all his communications and he has explicitly indicated he will not correct the moldings I do not trust that this business can or will sufficiently correct the problems created by his sloppy workThe only resolution at this point is to refund half the total payment of $so I can hire a competent business to fix his mistakesI am only hoping that others don't fall victim to his bad work and that there can be notice given to others who may consider this business Attached is a photo showing the railing, concert and moldings before touching my house Regards, [redacted]

I have asked him what day my crew and myself can return to his house to fix his concerns, his answer to me was that he does not want me on his property ever again. I painted his railings in my shop, I have witnesses and pictures to prove that. After we installed his railings on his porch we touched up the nail holes and that is what I was talking about when I told him not to touch the railings until they are dry. I have pictures of before and after. I have pictures of his brick house and vinyl siding on his garage and there is absolutely no paint on the brick or vinyl siding so he is wrong that we got paint on the brick or siding and I can prove thatIn regards to the miter post wraps I specifically pointed at them and told him they would be butt joints not miter joints as that was to match all the rest of the trim on his whole house, his response to me was "no problem, that's fine". We did a very good job and I have the pictures to prove that. The only thing I can think of why he is doing this is because he just wants cash back. If he wasn't happy with the job he would have not paid me the final payment. I have been a contractor for over years and this is the first time I have had someone complain to the Revdex.com. Because he won't allow me to come back to fix what he is unhappy about is why I think he just wants cash back to put in his pocket. I'm sorry you had to get involved in this dispute, but thank you for hearing my side of the story

It's clear that this business is not going to resolve this matter voluntarilyI will be persuing legal action at this time.

I am responding to the complaint #***. I was hired to build him new railings and
paint them. I built them and painted them in my shop so I would have to just install them and do minor touch ups on siteI have witnesses and pictures of the railings being built and painted in my shop and not at his house so for me to have gotten paint on his house and garage was impossible. I have detailed pictures of the job after it was finished. There was no paint on his brick house or his vinyl siding on the garage. I specifically bent down to show him that the joints were going to be butt joints, not miter joints so they would match the rest of his house and he said no problem. I have detailed pictures of the joints and they look very good. I have offered to go back to fix the issues he has and all he wants is cash. This is the first time in my whole career that I have been reported to the Revdex.com and I have been doing this for over years. The railings look very good, the job was finished on schedule and he was happy when he paid me at the end of the job. Maybe he is running short on money and is just trying to get cash out of anyone he can, but I am willing to fix his issues - not give him cash back. I am sorry you had to get involved in this misunderstanding between him and I but thank you for giving me a chance to tell my side of the story. I have texted him in the last couple days to set up a time to go over there to fix his issues but got no response from him. Thank you very much and have a great day

My view is that this individual is dishonest and unwilling or more likely unable to correct his mistakes. I have pictures that show his work and prior to his work showing no paint on the concrete and mitered corners on the original moldings as I had asked them to be done in the replacement. I also have electronic communications from him asking me not to touch the railings when I get home as the paint is still wet. How can he paint them in his garage and transport with wet paint? I have responded to all his communications and he has explicitly indicated he will not correct the moldings.  I do not trust that this business can or will sufficiently correct the problems created by his sloppy work. The only resolution at this point is to refund half the total payment of $700 so I can hire a competent business to fix his mistakes. I am only hoping that others don't fall victim to his bad work and that there can be notice given to others who may consider this business.  Attached is a photo showing the railing, concert and moldings before touching my house.
