We received all of Mrs [redacted] 's service requestsAfter reviewing her contract and speaking to her on the phone we tried to explain to her that her roof had no warranty checkedIt is clear that porch roofs are not covered for a reasonThe reason being, that 1st floor porches leak for many other problems out of our controlBays above, siding, adjoining porches, upper roofs, drains, capping and missing bay flashingHer front porch roof deck is very smallWe put new rubber on it, replaced exterior capping and replaced the drain tubeServicing this roof deck will not stop her leakingThe leak is coming from elsewhereEither through her siding, or her neighbor's porch (which are connected with no party wall), or something aboveI try to explain to her that if we did return and the leak was not caused by our work there would be a $service chargeIf it was determined we needed to do something to correct our work the $fee would be waivedOffering her a $charge is very fair, considering I know this leak is because of her siding, which we had no part ofHer problem is she needs additional work around the outside of this porch to stop this leak, and doesn't want to pay anyone We did this roof in April This roof didn't leak for at least 6-months afterThis leak is now coming from something other then the work we did When we did this roof, she asked us to check her siding around the exterior of the porchAt no charge, we pushed a piece or two around to straighten it outShe was alerted how bad the siding looked and that it was installed improperly Most likely this roof is leaking because her exterior siding needs repair We would be glad to come out and check it againThere is a $fee if it is determined the leak is coming from anything other then our workIf it is something from our work, there is no chargeAs for, he said/she said, I'm not going to address that, other than we never claimed there was a year warranty on any porch roofWe only give year warranties on main roofs To sum it up, This roof is not leaking from any work we didWe charged her, $for a new rubber roof, new drop tube in drain, capping and sealing with cement and nylon fabricThe price was good, the work was done correctly and we always stand behind our workShe needs to do more elsewhere if she wants this leak to stopWe are still here to service her should she accept it We welcome any other feed back from the Revdex.com

This is in response to this ridiculous complaintThis roof was estimated, and when we came to inspect the roof ( on June 4, 2014), it was determined that, in the past, it was done illegally sever times overIt has so many layers of shingle roofing on it, I am amazed it
didn't cave in this past winter, or several years soonerIt right now is extremely dangerous and should be reported to * * *The owner of this property should be violated for having an unsafe buildingIf fact, I will now send a letter to them!
Anyway, when I told *** *** (on 6/4/2014) that all these unseen layers needed to be removed and additional work was needed to make this building safe, he freaked out yellingHe insisted I come there that minute with his $2,in cash return depositI told him we didn't work that way and his check would be returned in the mail that day He continued to scream at me on the phone that he wanted his money back right now!I told him if he didn't stop yelling at me I would hang up & his check would be in the mailSo I hung upHis deposit was mailed to him on June 4, It was cashed by him, at my bank, on June 6, So why is he wasting your time and mine with this frivolous complaint ?

It is clear that porch roofs are not covered for a reason. The reason being, that 1st floor porches leak for many other...

Her front porch roof deck is very small. We put new rubber on it, replaced exterior capping and replaced the drain tube. Servicing this roof deck will not stop her leaking.
The leak is coming from elsewhere. Either through her siding, or her neighbor's porch (which are connected with no party wall), or something above.
I try to explain to her that if we did return and the leak was not caused by our work there would be a $75.00 service charge. If it was determined we needed to do something to correct our work the $75.00 fee would be waived. Offering her a $75.00 charge is very fair, considering I know this leak is because of her siding, which we had no part of.
Her problem is she needs additional work around the outside of this porch to stop this leak, and doesn't want to pay anyone.

As for, he said/she said, I'm not going to address that, other than we never claimed there was a 15 year warranty on any porch roof. We only give 15 year warranties on main roofs. 
To sum it up, This roof is not leaking from any work we did. We charged her, $495.00 for a new rubber roof, new drop tube in drain, capping and sealing with cement and nylon fabric. The price was good, the work was done correctly and we always stand behind our work. She needs to do more elsewhere if she wants this leak to stop.
We are still here to service her should she accept it.
