Showed up unannouced and did work without us knowing.
Reliable waterproofing and foundation showed up unannounced on May 21 to do foundation repair that we had requested to be present when the work done and let us know a date they were coming. They also were not suppose to coming when it was raining which he stated in texts that they couldn't do the the work when raining and I didn't want done until the mud and Bricks were dry. He showed up raining. We never knew he had done work until I saw the work done when I came outside. The work done from the outside looked poor. I could not see the other work done because they had already covered up with dirt. I called him and stated why had he done the work without us present to see and He stated he already had gravel on his truck for the day and that he had knocked on our door and we had refused to answer. How does that give you permission to do work just because you wanted too. I do not trust the work the have done . I have another contractor who stated the work looked poor and unprofessional . He did take a few pictures of the same thing done not all the work done so I have no idea how and if it was done. When I complain about him showing up unannounced and the poor repair he had nothing to say but to start talking about God and Karma and talking to his Lawyer. I have contacted BBB and Virginia Licensing Board to address my concerns not sure if he is even licensed? I'm so unhappy with my experience with this Company and Mike I don't know his last name not even listed on his company Card. BEWARE

There was much attempt to have Reliable come and fix the work but we were not a priority. We have email after email saying they forgot or would get with us after they got back in town. After growing impatient, we called the county building inspector who said none of the proper permits were pulled for this work and we should get a refund. In October, Reliable made it out to the house, an hour late, and informed us that it would be hard to get an engineer to look at a small house. They only inspect bigger buildings. Review: Hired Reliable to come out to stabilize the foundation last February. The work was completed on March 3,2015. Starting in August the house started moving badly and new cracks started opening, baseboards no longer touch the floor, windows and doors do not shut. The house is tearing apart. Contacted Reliable and was not considered a priority until October when we mentioned we had called the county. After consulting with the county building inspector, a refund was requested.

Proper protocol that is required by the county of Chesterfield was not followed during this repair and has caused more damage to the structural integrity of the residence. A permit is required in Chesterfield when repairing any structural element of a house including piers, footings, floor joists, beams or girders. Permits for the repair were not pulled. An engineer is required to test soil and insure proper placement of the new piers. No engineer was hired. We were later informed that it would be extremely difficult to get an engineer to look at a small house. They typically work on large buildings. This is a false statement. In addition, a promised 25 year warranty was never issued. After the 5th time requesting the warranty, on 10/20 Reliable, via text message, asked when the work was completed. He couldn't find the warranty and would have to try and get another one.

On11/07/15 We had a structural engineer inspect the home and determine that all piers below the house need to be redone they aren't even touching the center beam and were built incorrectly. The push piers around the perimeter were not put in the correct place causing an unbalanced foundation resulting in huge cracks in drywall and brick. $18,000 estimate to correct and stabilize foundation( not including any interior repair)We request a refund so that we can hire a company that retains an engineer that will complete the repair in compliance with the county. We are not comfortable with Reliable doing any more work on the home.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of $10,160.00 so we can get the foundation stabilized by a company that knows how to do it it correctly.
