auction multiple written bids were received prior to the day and time of the auctionOur procedure for the auction is to start with the highest written bid received and then allow those present at the auction to raise their bid until no one is willing to go higher. Unfortunately for this vehicle auction an employee of Reliant FCU mistakenly started at the second highest bid, which coincidentally belonged to the only bidder in attendance at the auctionAs no one present was willing to go higher the vehicle was sold at that bid priceThis was a mistake and did not follow our procedures for an auction. The employee involved has been re-trained on our proceduresShe was also instructed to call Mr*** and explain what happened and apologize for the mistake that was madeShe has done thatBecause the vehicle has been sold we don’t have the option to the auctionReliant FCU believes that if correct procedures had been followed, Mr*** would have been out bid as he was not in attendance to protect his written bid.Reliant FCU deeply regrets the mistake made by our employee and we apologize once again to Mr***We express appreciation to Mr*** for making us aware of the mistake that was madeWe hope our error has not caused Mr*** any inconvenience.Sincerely,Reliant FCU
