We are active duty military who just transferred to San Antonio & had just gotten my oldest son & his family set up in their new apartment ( [redacted] ) last monthThis past Sunday night I dropped off my mother at my son's apartmentThe management at the Apartments had told my son that visitors needed to "park along the fence." Sun night that was exactly what I didI came out shortly afterwards to find that Reliant Towing ( [redacted] ***) towed my carI went to go pick it up & then refused to give it back because my Texas drivers license expired in But since I am active duty, I am not required to renew my driver's license hence why its been expired for so long nowAs mentioned previously we just moved here from DC & still have not finished unpacking & I will get a new license in the very near future since I am now staioned back in TexasI then gave them my military ID and i

I was towed last night by Reliant towing The parking lot I was in was a multi property mixed parking lot Reliant did not sufficiently demarcate where they would tow from in that parking lotBecause of this, it is my belief that Reliant is being deceptive in the way they conduct business at the very least and may also be as serious as fraudActually, the spot I was parked in was marked as being ok to park in and not get towed......one could argue I would like Reliant to refund the tow fees they collected from me and compensate me for my time and trouble....I will be filing a small claims court case to ensure this gets doneIn addition to the refund, Reliant should be forced to stop their deceptive practices by placing a sign clearly labeling usage in each and every parking spot of their concern

At present my HOA contracts with Reliant for on-call towing servicesHowever they took that as permission to perform a predatory to w of questionable legality, towing my vehicle from in front of my own homeThis seems to be a running theme They do these things under cover of darkness on weekends to make you feel victimized, desperate and powerless, then rob youThere are good towing companies out there, but these people are the bottom-feeding criminal underclass of the industry

The vehicle was towed for "Taking up or more spaces" as she stated However, the van next to her did not make park the way she did After reviewing the pictures of this tow, both spaces were completely empty The van next to her had one tire barely touching the line; the other space was completely empty She could have easily parked in one space or the other The towing signs located on the property say that you must park in a designated space Unfortunately, she did not I am unable to respond to the damages [redacted] listed in her complaint because my office has never received a phone call regarding such complaints or damages Her vehicle was towed on Dec9, and this complaint is the first time it has been brought to my attention

Unfortunately, at no point in the statement did he mention where the vehicle was towed from, any vehicle information, or any receipt numbers I do not have the ability to look up a specific tow from a place that's next to the restaurant Please give more information so I am able to give a reasonable response

It is not illegal in Texas to patrol a parking lot and tow vehicles parked in violation as long as we follow statutory guidelines The apartment manager is not required to call each vehicle in, nor is the manager obligated to sign for the release of each vehicle I am not sure where [redacted] gets his information, but this is entirely incorrect I walked the gentleman out to his vehicle His emergency brake was on (not fully engaged, but it was on) and his vehicle is a standard We did not discuss whether his vehicle was in 1st gear or neutral at the time Our conversation was about the brake with the assumption it was in neutral The parking space he parked in is an upward angle It is not a flat surface Just as [redacted] stated, when the key is taken out of the ignition, the steering wheel locks in the position it was left in After reviewing the pictures taken prior to being towed, the steering wheel was turned and as the vehicle rolled back, it turned at the exact angle the steering wheel was turned Vehicles with Standard Transmissions must always have the emergency brake fully engaged (especially when left in neutral which is not recommended) This is not an extreme situation and happens quite often I am sorry this happened to [redacted] because I do believe he did not intentionally park his vehicle in violation

The company advertises a coupon for 10% of their service with the only exclusions listed as cannot combine offers or discounts, but when trying to apply the coupon, the manager ***, refused to honor the listed coupon on the front page of their website*** then proceeded to be extremely rude with a paying customer

I am the owner of an automobile that I am currently living in as I am homeless due to the result of multiple burglaries and thefts that has bankrupt me and cost me to lose my job and my houseThe latest theft was tge theft of this vehicle which was stolen from me back in April and was recently returned to me in JulyI have spent every penny I have had to get insurance and to make me essay repairs to get it drivable againI donated plasma to get enough money to replace the brake pads on this automobile the day that Reliant towing renewed their contract with Saint Louis apartments and hung New signs in the ungated parking lot which are completely invisible from a Southward entrance into the said parking lotThis was an unprovokedtow and my automobile was not in a designated residence or guest parking spot as there are no designations for either in this parking lotMy car was parked there for approximately minutes as I was there to show the automobile to a resident at Saint Louis'

I was towed for being parked in two parking places at my apartment complexThere was no complaint issued by a resident or by management; I was a victim of "random" patrolling at my apartment complexThe reason I say "random" the way I do is because they will sit and wait in the apartment complex for an opportunity to make a quick buckThey did not have pictures or proof that I was not parked correctlyI was out of town for the weekend and they never contacted me about my carI got back into town days later to find my car missingMy first thought was that my car was stolenAfter finding where my car was I went to the businessThe towing company charged me $a day for days for storage charges, $for tow charges, and a $impound feeThe towing companies fees came to the total of 236.60$ after taxesI did not have this amount available at the time and they would not accept payment over the phone for my towing fees, even though they will for other servicesI had to hav

I had parked in a designated "Vistor" spot at my friend's apartment complex, where the posted signs read that you must park in a designated spot or get towedI woke up the next morning with my car towed and when I called the towing company they told me they didn't have itAt this point I'm thinking my car was stolen because I parked in the right spot and reliant claimed to not have any knowledge of itWe called back like minutes later to find they did have it all along and it was towed while on patrolAfter contacting the landlord and confirming that visitors are allowed to park in the visitor section without a permit and my car was towed in error and he "sends his regards", I am outragedIn what world can you tow someone parked in the correct space and yet still have to pay 190$ for YOUR screw up! I want a refund and I'm taking you to my city council person and the mayorReliant towing has people squatting in these apartment complexs waiting for owners to leave their cars, in

I saw the tow truck company outside of a venue in which my friend was performingI explicitly asked the tow driver if I had to move my car, since the parking signs were very ambiguousThere was a permit parking only lot right next to a lot for a restaurantThe tow driver assured me that my car would not get towed, and that it was parked fineAlthough I was fully ready to move my car if it was in the wrong place, I didn't because the towing company assured me that it was fineJust a few moments later, I go back outside and my car is goneAfter finally getting to tow company, I find out that they need my proof of insurance with my name on itNow, my car is broken and if it is locked, it cannot be unlocked from the outsideMy car had been locked, and the only explanation I received was by a disgruntled employee who said her "hands were tied" because it was a legal issueNonetheless, I was to pay $for my car to have been towed, then she informed me that because my car had to b

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:My car was damaged and I did call Reliant towingThe beginning of the conversation I was told that there wasn't any record of my towWhen I went over the missing info on who authorized the tow and that they where in violation by law, they acted surprisedOf course they didn't acknowledge the code violation because they couldn't find the record. I also informed them that there was visual damage to the under carrage and possibly starter issuesMy vehicle will be looked at by the dealership Monday January 5thDue to the holidays that was the soonest I could get an appointment scheduledI will not allow reliant to have any permission to touch my car againThey also illegally entered my carMy alarm and emergency break was on and when I picked up my car, it was open and no emergent break was on Also my apartment building do not give tenants an assigned spotAnd on the invoice the wrong apartment building is named as authorized tow by: Lets get the facts strait hereIf you look up Reliant towing on the internet anyone will see the numerous complaints and scams have bedReported

I live at polo club apartment complex in Austin at the address I've givenI've witness this tow company nightly for months now patrolling the residential area, predatory towingI can obtain video footage if necessary

Reliant Towing illegally towed my vehicle from a reserved parking space rented together with my condo They lied about were the vehicle was initially and when I could prove they were lying by showing GPS tracking on the car they changed their story and told me the condo's owner called them to tow the vehicle which I later confirmed was a lie Unfortunately Austin police consider this a civil matter and not a crime to steal someone's car and then ransom it back to them Thankfully I paid with a credit card and my company is not paying them

The towing signs at the entrance to the property state "NO PARKING ON THE GRASS". It does not state , "DO NOT PARK HALFWAY ON THE GRASS". This is as clear as we can make it. The pictures of the vehicle were sent to the property manager and after speaking with her, she agreed it was
a good tow. In the complaint, *** *** stated she was parked on the grass. This is why she was towed. This tow was done according to all rules and regulations required by the State of Texas

Last night, on Saturday, October 15th, for the third time in a little over a month Reliant Towing sent one of their drivers to steal my vehicle and harass meLast night, the Austin Police Department had to go on a man hunt to find this specific driver after he threatened my life with a weaponThe drivers name is *** *** Police Report has been filed, again

A car was parked in my reserved parking spot last night so at 8:30pm I called to have them towedThe woman on the phone said it would be two hoursThat’s fine; I didn’t even bother checking if they’d taken care of it I just trusted they’d handle itIt’s now been sixteen hours and the car is still thereI had called again and the person on the phone, Terry, basically said they’d get to it on their own time and I asked if they could give me a timeframe and she said she had other people on the line and hung up on me
