Voya Reliastar Life Insurance Company customer service is unresponsive and error prone.
With the death of my husband, I am the beneficiary and have been waiting for Voya Reliastar Life Insurance Company to pay out the beneficiary claim as stated on the policy. Voya Reliastar Life Insurance Company will not confirm receipt of faxed information. Sent an empty envelope inside another empty envelope. Sent an envelope with a form letter with instructions to fill out and return the enclosures; there were no enclosures. Promised that a local agent would contact us in 3-5 business days TWICE and still have not received a call after four weeks. Stated that payout would be in 7-10 days. It took two months just to get Voya Reliastar Life Insurance Company to send the claim form. It is now 21 days since my claim form was received at Voya Reliastar Life Insurance Company (I have a fax delivery receipt) and I have received nothing. It just seems like they are evasive and will say anything to get you off the phone. Today on 9/25 I sent the claim form certified mail with return receipt requested.

I am rejecting this response because:Overall the entire interaction with Voya Reliastar was poor to bad.

I had a stroke on 1/19/18 the company I work for is pls financial service. I pay into their short and long term disability, I filed a claim in february of this year as of today I still have not recieved compensation for being out of work due to my illiness. I ve called Brittany at voya financial that handles the claims
and call after call I have recieved one excuse after another. my primary care physician has filled out and faxed back every inconcievable document they wanted filled out and still no compensation. the last contact I had with Brittany on 5/16/18 I was told they couldnt read the drs handwriting. its been one stall tactic after another.

I am rejecting this response because: I'm looking for legal help in respinse to there answer and I would like the Revdex.com to do what they can to assist me as well as get any information from the company, I'm giving my consent for Revdex.com to know what is going on.

For over a year my husband and I have had issues logging into his account from the main VOYA web portal. Now that portal is the only way to log into his account. The log in is not functional and VOYA refuses to believe me. The customer service center was rude and condencending. They repeatedly put me on hold, told me that I was the one logging in incorrectly, and then I was mysteriously disconnected. After FINALLY convincing them that I was talking about the web portal and not my actual policy, they swore they were in contact with the IT department to fix my log in profile. Two months later nothing is done. VOYA refuses to give me the contact information for the IT department. They also refuse to give me progress reports. All emails have been answered with "we will contact you when IT tells us something."

I filed a claim through the company for a short term disability that I paid for through my employer. I was denied through the underwriting department for reasons that don't make any sense at all. First they told me I wasn't covered through my employer. I sent paystubs to verify this insurance was coming out of my paycheck. After I proved that I had this insurance then they denied me for pre existing conditions. I never had problems until I started working with my new employer. Today I got a letter stating that they denied me my short term disability with no explanations. My last paycheck had credit from the short term disability. They paid me back a portion of what they took out of my check. I wasn't even paid the correct amount. I expected to be paid while I was off work for surgery and this company won't even call me back.
