Rell's Fire Protection Reviews (1)

Review: Had Rell's do our hood system in Oct. Didn't get cleaned properly and got charged for items we never received. Two times that we DO know of that we got charge for nozzle caps being replaced. Was told from Rell's that it's the law that they have to be changed them every services( which is not the law).Back in Oct.2012 they were soaking in soapy water. Oct 2013 my husband and I took them off and they never got replaced, but they charged us for these items of $43.75 each time. Tried calling them numerous times on our bill, but no return calls. I paid a parcel payment of the bill. Wrote a letter saying, "if you cash this check, then I'm assuming we are good on the bill. If not please call me." They cashed the check and wrote a letter back to me telling me they weren't good on the bill and said they turned me into the collection agency. Called them 4 different times in 2 days and no return calls. Never got a letter from a collection agency and they put $50.00 more on my billing. Then I just received a letter saying they put a lien of $100.00.So now my bill is $150.00 more. The hood is suppose to be pressure washed and it wasn't done. They scraped as far as they could reach. Called another company in town to get a bid on their services. The owner said we needed service done right away. We just had the service done 3 weeks ago from Rell's. That's how bad of a job they did, but they still want the full money of the bill, plus the other amount they keep tacking on. I finally had enough of these threating letters, so I turned the matter over to my attorney, which he was in an agreement to file this complaint with Revdex.com. I do have pictures of the job they did, which I would be happy to forward them to you if requested.Desired Settlement: Settlement is for the remainder of bill to be dismiss with no further action on Rell's part. And if attorney fees do apply, Rell's will be responsible.

RE: [redacted]

Dear Representative of Revdex.com

In response to the above complaint I am limited in how I may respond do to the fact that [redacted]s [redacted] are in litigation with Rells Fire however we would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to defend our selves against baseless accusation as made by [redacted].

To begin with [redacted] has a problem with telling the truth in fact the truth completely evades most everything she says, while it is true that Rells Fire did provide service to [redacted]s that is where [redacted]’s statement of true ends, there was no work performed as [redacted] describes, the exhaust hood system was steam cleaned correctly to code and the fire suppression system was serviced to code, if [redacted] actually was telling the truth she could have contacted the fire Marshal in Wenatchee and ask that he look at the service that was performed, instead what [redacted] actually did (because she was SOOOO upset) was wait for six weeks and then when her bill was as usual past due for payment called and complained, at this point it’s a bit like complaining six weeks after washing your car that it is dirty again, just a bit ridiculous, Rells viewed the photos and requested that the photos be taken again this time with a date stamp from the camera so we could compare since she claimed that the photos were take right after the cleaning took place and that way we could compare the current condition, [redacted] declined to do this, then we offered to send the cleaning crew back by to re-clean the hood and again [redacted] declined, further [redacted] provides no evidence of any wrong doing on our part what so ever in fact [redacted] is just another deadbeat customer who is attempting to extort a free service from a vender. We also ask [redacted] for the name of her so called Attorney as we have file legal documents against her and surprise surprise she does not respond, lastly once a deadbeat customer is placed into collections our service office will no longer deal with them, the customer must then deal with the collection agent as she has been informed. It is my suggestion that the Revdex.com request the six week old photos and compare them to any other restaurant at that date after cleaning and you will find that [redacted] is as I describe— a liar who holds no proof of any wrong doing by Rells Fire Protection what so ever.

Rells Fire requests documents be provided to us from the Revdex.com to file a complaint against [redacted]s and [redacted].

Best regards

Consumer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

I am reply to the statement that Rell's fire protection sent you is incorrect. I made the phone calls to them and they never responded to me, nor did they ever asked for my attorneys name. My husband and I bought [redacted]'s in July 2003. There was another hood cleaners doing the job before we hired on Rell's., which they took over the service, in 2004 or 2005. I believed we had a good business relationship for over the years. I never called and complained when the jobs were done, except for this last job they did in Oct 2013. I did call and asked [redacted] about the red caps being replaced back in Sept. 2012, because they were soaking in water. They charge $6.25 a cap and I have 7 of them. I thought if they didn't need to be replaced, that would save me $43.75 plus tax. [redacted] said, "It was the law that they get replaced every cleaning." Then why were they soaking in water? And not replaced? Then when they came Oct 6,2013. My husband an I took those caps off and we got charged, again for those caps that never got replaced. How can they charge a customer for items they never received? I have sent you documents in the mail that will address these concerns. I am not a dead beat customer. If I'm such a lair, complainer and didn't pay my bills on time, why would you keep me as a customer for as long as they did? I know I would refuse to continue service to that customer.
