Relocation Express Reviews (%countItem)

I recently moved from GA to FL. Anthony talked a big game on the phone about how dedicated "his" (this is not his company) is to making your move less stressful and taking care of your belongings. We were scheduled to moved on Thursday 8-13 as we were selling our house on 8-14 and had to be all the way out on 8-13. I got a guarantee for pick up on 8-13 before signing the contract as that was the only day that we could move as my mother-in-law was staying with us until then. It was written on the contract as that specific date on 8-12 I get a call from David saying that they can not pick up my belongings as promised on 8-13 but now needs to be 8-14. I told him that was unacceptable and I have a signed contract stating that 8-13 is my pickup date and if they could not honor that I needed my deposit back and I could just get a U-Haul. He then hung up on me so I called Anthony to ask what was going on. He stated that my contract stated they could pick up on 8-13 or 8-14. I reminded him that my contract specifically called out 8-13 not both days. I took a screen shot of the contract when it was first sent to me as you can not download it and it is just a link that can be changed at any point they want. He then "resent" me the contract I had supposedly signed and HAD CHANGED THE DATES ON IT. I then sent him back the screen shot of the actual contract I signed with only the 8-13 date on it. Eventually I am sure they bumped someone else but they did agree to do my pick up on the correct date. Fast forward to getting my stuff at my new house. There are more than 5 boxes missing, table is scraped, swing broken, glass shattered and they do not care and will not help us. They also lost all of our clothing. Most can not be replaced. Also Anthony told me they owned all the trucks and the people who work for this company are actually a part of this company. That is a lie they pulled up to collect my belongings in GA in a U-Haul and dropped it off in the most suspicious unmarked box truck. THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY AND DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! ALL THEY DO IS LIE.

Low quote then jacks up price. Leave things behind. Broke my stuff and no response for complaint.
Give very low quote, then jacks up the price the day of pickup. Leave lots of things behind. I had to throw and give away lots of stuff. Takes two weeks to schedule delivery. No way to make a complaint for broken item. Phone number given does not work. Very responsive before getting your business, then no response at all for any issue. Terrible business to deal with.

Desired Outcome

Would like compensation for the items left behind. Or at the very very least, pay for the broken item (bookcase).

Far too much to cover here, but here are just some of the "lowlights".

As others have said, Anthony *** (who tells you he's the "family man" owner but clearly is just the front-end because he's the only one in the company who speaks clear English) provides a low-ball estimate after a cursory, over-the-phone "inventory".

Then their "professional movers" show up who can't speak a word of clear English and proceed to act "surprised" at what you have in your home, renegotiating the cost of each item even though it's already on the estimate. When they tell you they charge for stairs after Anthony waived stair fees and that's in the estimate, you're told "Oh no, we charge for stairs, we charge for stairs."

As someone else said, they also pack up things you intentionally did not include because they were going to be donated, thrown away or taken in the car. Too late... already packed and on the truck, so no way to find those items if you wanted to.

One of their movers also turned around a security camera so they couldn't be watched. The owner, "David" who won't provide his last name when asked, thought that was perfectly fine since "people working hard don't like to be watched." Incredible. Who would ever think it was acceptable for a vendor's employees to adjust security devices in a customer's home? Since Revdex.com won't allow me to post the URL, you can try searching for "Pro Pack Moving Services Obstructs Security Camera"

After everything is loaded, only then do they tell you that "Oh, no... surprise! The actual cubic footage is 1,450, not the original 650 cubic feet in the estimate. Too bad for you! And by the way, we also are going to charge you outrageous rates for boxes, packing materials and even tape." That's right, they add on a charge for the tape they used! Of course they knew they would use tape and other standard materials on the job... but of course not included in the estimate.

In the end, after an original estimate of around $3,200 the total came to $8,100. Of course, I fought these crooks tooth and nail (the owner was hating life after I was done with him) and got $2000 taken off so we could finally get our belongings back.

I even had to fight with him over the method of payment, as he refused to accept a credit card for the pickup deposit, insisting on cash or a postal order, even though credit card payment was clearly laid out as an acceptable payment method in their own documentation. In the end, I was forced to pay the full balance in cash on delivery.

Again, this was a nightmare from beginning to end. Don't make the same mistake I did by not researching this company ahead of time. (But you're here, so good for you!) Avoid this scam company - which the regulatory authorities should shut down - at all costs!

Anthony talked a big game, giving low quotes without even seeing your house. Then it was 1770 more than the estimate. Even after telling him what I wanted and what I don't, they grabbed some of the things I was gonna throw away and then missed an entire closet! It was too much for me to take with me as my car is already packed. Look like I have to give up those things. Then they promise to disassemble and reassemble everything for you, but don't bring their own tools? Anyways, not a good experience for me.

This company is A SCAM. I would highly recommend that if you are considering using ProPack for your move, that you find another company. Anthony, one of the "owners" of the company is a great salesman but not one thing that came out of his mouth was the truth. This company outsourced another company to do the actual move. I specifically asked Anthony if this was the case and was lied to. This moving company is one of the scam moving companies that you read about. Do not believe their lies. They added TWO THOUSAND dollars on the the "estimate" the morning of the move. On our estimate, every single item was listed even down to the patio furniture that we did not end up taking because the truck that Anthony hired to move us, was not big enough. Our estimated box count was MORE than the actual number of boxes that we had and they still charged us $2,000 more (close to double) the original estimate. A day after they delivered our items to our new house, we realized that we are missing two large boxes of important items. After the sale is made and you have paid the deposit to pro pack, that screen your calls and never answer the phone or call you back again. A woman makes Gail will text you back but she is unkind and argumentative in her responses. Once they get your first 1/3 payment for the move, they literally wash their hands of you and leave the contacted guys to rip you off. The actual movers, who spoke very little English, showed up in a rented truck. They attempted to squeeze more money out of us every step of the way. At the pick up, they added 2k, drop off they added it again and sat in front of my house for two hours refusing to unload our house until we paid them more money. Don't let Anthony fool you, this company is a scam. We learned a very tough lesson hiring this company for our first move. I writing this review to inform others about what WILL HAPPEN to you if you choose to hire them. Don't make the same mistake. Find somebody else.

My boyfriend and I recently moved from TN to FL and we chose to go with Propack. HUGE MISTAKE! Things started badly by the movers changing the arrival date twice on us! So we were in our new home with nothing for five days!! Not even my clothes! When we tried to call and talk to someone no one would answer! Not through phone or email. Anthony, the owner, makes empty promises and David, the dispatcher, is one of the worst customer service people I've ever had to work with in my entire life. He was rude and did not care about our concerns one bit. When our stuff finally arrived the movers had lost our brooms, broke 10 plates and 8 cups, ripped and stained my mattress cover and broke a leg off my armchair as well as ripped the skirt off the same armchair and stuffed it into the cushion! Without even letting us know! All in all, I'd give them a negative rating if I could! Not only because of our broken things but mostly because of how horrible Anthony and David were! If you value promptness and honesty then go with ANY OTHER COMPANY!

A good moving company Is the best. They made a very hard move so much easier on us. We are moving my 84 year old mother in law closer to us. she had lived in her home for over 35 years. Lots to sort and move. I really thought we would just move the items and sort the stuff later. They helped us sort and pack It. It was the best feeling having the team working with us to do everything the did to make things easier on us. The move was much harder than expected and the packers were supposed to leave us at noon but they stayed with us all day to help pack and we were still charged what we were told. We had the best customer service since the very first phone call with Mr. Vinny D.

Expertise. and. Services

Pro Pack Moving Service is by far one of the best Carriers I've ever used . The best moving company can transport you anywhere, and it has a track-record for keeping belongings safe. You should schedule multiple estimates to find the best price and vet your local agent -- but our top pick stood out for their transparent pricing, easy claims, and a solid reputation for happy customers. Not to mention our Moving Advisor Vinny was impeccable with he leadership and being able to deliver exactly what he said.
