The business did not communicate that there was a scheduling problemThey ceased all communication for an excess of days and did not reply until there was a Revdex.com complaint filedThere were numerous attempts at contact from myself and the insurance agentI received no invoice besides the $amount paid to begin the project, and the insurance claim is now closedI would recommend the Revdex.com note that this company abandoned the contracted job and adjust its rating accordinglySince I am seeking no further action from this business I am accepting this response to close this claim Regards, *** [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern; We did attend this home to complete the initial emergency response work due to a flood the ***'s had in their basement that was predominately finished spaceMost insurance related flood repair is addressed in stages; initial flood response or emergency services, and
restoration or rebuilding the site to pre-loss conditions. We, as is customary with insurance restoration, collected the deductible form the insured prior to commencement. Any additional work would be collected directly from the insurance company or through the homeowner after they are paid from the insurance company. The work that we completed was extraction, carpet was removed from installed state to allow for padding removal and disposal, disinfected the backing of the carpet and the floor underneath, reset the carpet, set a large dehumidifier and three air fans to dry the structure. These services where all completed in a timely manner once started. Initial Service call $250.00Extraction $200.00Carpet pad removal and disposal (including fees - Dump charges) $195.00Disinfection $125.00 Drying $870.00Additional service call/s $85.00 Total of services completed to date $1,725.00 Total paid for the services to date $1,500.00 The above services are also subject to the addition of 10% profit and 10% overhead that is not included in this amount. While we had initially stated that we may be interested in completing the full restoration of this home; supplying and installing the new padding and carpeting as was paid for by the insurance provider, we were unable to continue due to scheduling conflicts. We believe that the amount paid to the ***'s was in excess of $4,to complete the work. We have not received more remuneration than work completed. As can been above in the breakdown, we are actually owed money but have waived that amount since we understand that the ***'s had the inconvenience of finding another contractor to complete the restoration portion of the work as we had completed all of the emergency services. It is our standing that the ***'s are paid in full for our services and will not owe the remaining amount we are owed for the services as completed. While we regret that they had experienced an inconvenience that was largely due to the flood itself and not our interactions with them, we do not believe they are owed any monies in this matter. Please feel free to contact me directly at ###-###-#### Kirk F* * ***

The business did not communicate that there was a scheduling problem. They ceased all communication for an excess of 90 days and did not reply until there was a Revdex.com complaint filed. There were numerous attempts at contact from myself and the insurance agent. I received no invoice besides the $1500 amount paid to begin the project, and the insurance claim is now closed. I would recommend the Revdex.com note that this company abandoned the contracted job and adjust its rating accordingly. Since I am seeking no further action from this business I am accepting this response to close this claim.

We are sorry that this customer has rejected the offer for us to return to complete the portion of the scope that was a part of the original request of services.  We did explain to Mr. [redacted] at the completion of the work (time of payment), that we did not see a crack on the interior side of the wall.  This was physically shown to him at that time and there was a consensus of thought at that time.  As we stated in the first response of this complaint, the seemingly obvious issue was the downspout drain line to the street which was repaired and not charged for in the original scope of work.  Our scope did not include any interior framing removal and addressed the mold remediation as required in that scope.  Had a wall fracture been seen in that wall excavation area, a customer consultation would have included the need to remove the framing to complete a larger remediation and extra charges would have been  determined for the additional work being added.  We regret that the [redacted]'s are refusing our attempt to review the work and assure that all elements of the original scope are completed as paid for.  Further, we continue to offer this option to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted].  If they have a change of heart on this matter, we are open to offer a site visit with the thought of completing the necessary completion in a speedy manner.

I am rejecting this response because:The outside wall has a crack in it and it was not sealed. The inside area may have a crack in the same area but the drywall was not removed far enough up to determine this.  I sent pictures to Kirk showing this as well as the water leak with no response.  I paid to have mold removed and the water entering my residence stopped. That did not happen.  What was the point in me paying for anything if the issue was not resolved.  If something else was discovered, which it wasn't, then he should have said so.  I still have water coming into my basement and his repairs did not stop it. That is the bottom line and if he chooses to do nothing then the courts will handle it.

Revdex.com: I have attempted to include pictures on this reply 2 different times and an error shows up.  Apparently I can not have pictures as part of my issue.  I will accept the business returning to my home and reviewing the issue and we can put the complaint on hold pending the outcome of that meeting.
I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution of the owner returning to review the issue is satisfactory to me at this time.

To Whom It May Concern:We are responding to the complaint as listed on your email.  We do not dispute most of the items as stated in Mr. [redacted]'s complaint.  We did come out and estimate, we provided an estimate based on what could be seen in the examination as completed, we did all items...

on our scope with one exception; we did not repair any cracks on the inside of the foundation, as none could be seen.  We additionally, repaired the drain line of the downspout that was located on the exterior elevation that was causing much of the [redacted]'s issue and this items was not in our scope of repairs but completed as a measure of good faith.  We showed Mr. [redacted] what we completed on the interior side of the wall and that we completed all treatments as described in our scope. The purpose of Mr. [redacted]'s call to our company was to address a moderate to heavy mold contamination that had been occurring in the bedroom of the basement elevation.  We were not hired to complete a full waterproofing solution. While this type of work is in our list of services, it was not the primary service being completed for the [redacted]'s.I will agree to visit the site again and seal the "exposed area of the exterior foundation" where there is a minor fracture in the block wall.  This was possibly an oversight by my staff when we were there originally.  However, it should be noted that we are not liable to excavate the exterior as this was not in our scope of repairs as can be easily noted in the scope as attached.  We will make every effort to accommodate schedules in the return to complete this one element of the repair.  It should further be noted that should the water continue into the interior/ basement of this home, it is likely that a much more involved repair will be necessary that will involve the complete demolition of the remaining drywall and framing on these interior wall elevations to expose the issue fully and apply waterproofing materials that are currently not in place. In reference to the communication failures between Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] and myself, I sincerely apologize of that issue and will work diligently to assure that this will no longer occur.  We await a response.
