As to the complaint filed by [redacted] We had an in depth discussion with [redacted] at the time of the estimate (02/02/17) as to what she wanted repaired and what her concerns and ours wereWe provided her with an estimate to replace the front bumper on her Mercedes ML 350, which she was told would be required to completely eliminate all of the cracks ($1681.00) She had received like estimates from other shopsWe also provided her with an estimate to repair the bumper less two cracks in the front middle of the bumper (NOT repairable and only visible by getting on your knees and looking upward from underneath) that would not be visible upon installation of the license bracket ($875.00)The damage she was primarily concerned about was on the side area of the front bumper coverShe was told that the two center cracks could not be repaired but that some other visible scrapes on the front middle part of bumper would be repaired and repainted (which they were)She was okay with this and chose to proceed with the repair, not the replacement of the bumperBy the way, she told us that no other shop that she spoke with was even willing to attempt to repair the bumper cover There was not an issue with her, but rather her boyfriend, who arrived with her to pay for the repairHe pointed out the cracks and asked why they weren't repairedEven after it was explained to him, he made an issue of it, so he was given an additional $discount on the repairWe heard nothing more from them until [redacted] posted a negative review, after which I called and left a voice message for her to call me backShe has notWe have not received any emails from the Revdex.com until [redacted] forwarded this complaint to me (unless they wound up in junk mail and were deleted)We feel very strongly that we performed the repair as specified and agreed to and therefore have no further obligation We will not be blackmailed and manipulated by individuals who use social media and internet reviews to put forward untruths for personal gainI am second generation here at Remes; since This business have been in my family since and that hasn't been because we don't keep our wordAll the best, [redacted] Remes Auto Body [redacted]

I'm sorry, but it was explained to herWe can not repair that type of crack in that type of bumper, never have and probably never willJust like the other shops told her, that type of composite cannot be repaired when damaged that wayShe was told that the crack that she is now complaining about, would still be there, but would not be visible once they mount the license plate bracket and plateThis is the caseEverything else with the repair is fine in her eyesWe stick by our assertion that she acknowledged this and said to proceed with the repairs knowing that the crack would still be thereThe primary damage that she expressed concern about was on the side of the front bumper, not in the middleIf she misunderstood, I am sorry, though I don't feel at all that this is the caseAs for her replacing the bumper, I disagreeShe went to multiple shops for estimates, all of whom also told her that they could not repair the cracks and would have to replace the bumperShe didn't want to have to spend the moneyWe did the best that could have been done, short of replacing the bumper, which she didn't want to doAnd frankly, for the repair that was performed, she received a very fair price

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:I was given a written estimate to fix both cracks in bumperNothing is written in estimate that only half would be fixedHe guaranteed me that work would be properly be done and like nothing was thereI noticed the crack in front still there when I came to pick up and inspect carI would of paid for new bumper if they did not tell me it was not repairable of all damagesMy concern is why we're they able to fix some of the middle damages but the crack they thought I was not going to see.
Sincerely,

As to the complaint filed by [redacted]. We had an in depth discussion with [redacted] at the time of the estimate (02/02/17) as to what she wanted repaired and what her concerns and ours were. We provided her with an estimate to replace the front bumper on her 2007 Mercedes ML 350,...

which she was told would be required to completely eliminate all of the cracks ($1681.00) . She had received like estimates from other shops. We also provided her with an estimate to repair the bumper less two cracks in the front middle of the bumper (NOT repairable and only visible by getting on your knees and looking upward from underneath) that would not be visible upon installation of the license bracket ($875.00). The damage she was primarily concerned about was on the side area of the front bumper cover. She was told that the two center cracks could not be repaired but that some other visible scrapes on the front middle part of bumper would be repaired and repainted (which they were). She was okay with this and chose to proceed with the repair, not the replacement of the bumper. By the way, she told us that no other shop that she spoke with was even willing to attempt to repair the bumper cover.  There was not an issue with her, but rather her boyfriend, who arrived with her to pay for the repair. He pointed out the cracks and asked why they weren't repaired. Even after it was explained to him, he made an issue of it, so he was given an additional $100 discount on the repair. We heard nothing more from them until [redacted] posted a negative review, after  which I called and left a voice message for her to call me back. She has not. We have not received any emails from the Revdex.com until [redacted] forwarded this complaint to me (unless they wound up in junk mail and were deleted). We feel very strongly that we performed the repair as specified and agreed to and therefore have no further obligation.  We will not be blackmailed and manipulated by individuals who use social media and internet reviews to put forward untruths for personal gain. I am second generation here at Remes; since 1989. This business have been in my family since 1961 and that hasn't been because we don't keep our word. All the best,   [redacted]
