6/4/Dear *** *** came to Remey, LLC to have her taxes prepared and filled on Thursday, March 13, After a few weeks had passed *** called the office to get the status of her taxesDue to client load her taxes had not been prepared at the time
she called*** was extremely upset and began to become violent over the phoneWe wanted to make *** happy and decided to push up her tax preparation and it was completedAfter the preparation was completed we contacted *** to let her know what her bill was for the tax preparation and the total it would cost for her to have her taxes EFiled*** did not pay the bill for the tax preparation therefore according to our policy which we notified in the phone conversation her return will not be EFiled nor will it be released to her until she pays her balance from having her taxes preparedOn Monday, April 14, 2014, *** came into the office deciding that she did not want to utilize our services anymore.She then signed documentation that she had received all of her documentation for her taxes

Review: I filed my taxes through [redacted], a tax preparer with this business around March 14. She has my original W2 and my daycare receipts along with copies of social security cards and birth certificates for my son and myself. I have yet to receive a refund or tax return documents despite the fact the I have been in contact with her constantly via phone and I have gone to her office several times to request these documents. She says the computers are down or she has to leave the office. She has not given me any proof and has not returned my original documents. My sister and I have both spoken with her over the phone and she has been rude and unprofessional. She has hung up the phone several times, interrupted us by talking over us, told me to shut up, given conflicting information about my returns; etc. She advised me of three different stories whenever I inquire about my refund or proof that my taxes have been filed: 1) she filed them and sees that the money went into my bank account. When asked for account details she sent the money to or proof that the taxes were filed and money was sent, she drops the call or backtracks to another answer. For example, 2) she says she mixed my information with another client's info in error. Someone last named [redacted]. She said she is submitting paperwork to correct this or I can file elsewhere to correct this. When I ask for proof of this or if she has already filed my taxes she gives the third story 3) she gave all my money and tax documents to my father who has also filed with her. I did not authorize this and my dad denies that this is true. When I tell her this, she drops the call or goes back to one of the previous stories.Desired Settlement: I want to know if my taxes have been filed, if a refund has been issued, and if so, where is my refund. I want to file a formal complaint against her for her incompetency and unprofessionalism however I can. I also want to advise her licensing board and hopefully avoid this happening to people in the future.
