Remix Autobody

Review: Good day. I am sorry that it has taken me so long to file this complaint, but I was trying to remain as hopeful as I possibly could. My husband and I dropped off my 2003 Lincoln Navigator to Remix Autobody, LLC in [redacted], MD on March 14, 2013 - and gave the mechanic (not sure if he is the owner as well), [redacted], a $700 deposit. My Navigator was having suspension issues, so I was getting the air suspension replaced with regular coil suspension. Although I found a shop near my home where we had other work done before who could do it for $1800, [redacted] told my husband he could do it for $1300. So of course my husband wanted what was cheaper, and he knew that [redacted] had done good work before. Initially, we thought it would only take a couple of weeks. [redacted] told us about something breaking and that something else had to be welded - a few other things were wrong that he didn't anticipate. Okay, that was fine - so we had to wait a couple more weeks. We never received an update on the vehicle unless we called [redacted], and whenever we did call him, there was always another issue that came up, and one that extended the repair time a couple of days...try months! April is here, and my son went on a missions trip to the [redacted] on the 10th. He returned on the 17th and I thought we would have a truck - NOPE! Did not hear from [redacted]. I bugged my husband to call him the following week and of course, something else came up. Here comes May - my daughter and I were going to New York for Mother's Day. My husband told [redacted] that I would need the truck by then. Did I get it? No. All we got were a lot of excuses. He was sick, his mom was sick, etc. I did sympathize, but business is business. Then he told my husband somehow the deposit didn't go to his account and that we would have to repay it. I IMMEDIATELY pulled up my husband's bank records and showed him the deduction. Now it is 23 July (over 4 months later) and still NO TRUCK and NO UPDATE. I'm sorry I had to do this but I am FED UP!!!Desired Settlement: I want [redacted], and whomever owns Remix Autobody, LLC to know that a complaint has been filed against them for the most unprofessional service I have EVER received. Whose car is in the shop for 4 months...really? Maybe they will not do this to anyone else in the future. We have an outstanding balance of $500-$600 dollars with him. I think he would be a SM to expect us to pay him anything else for having my vehicle for so long. He needs to get his act together or close his shop!!
