To whom it may concern, We gave this client a great price of only $considering custom cabinets! The client contacted me and asked if I could have someone else handle the garbage disposal installation because her husband was worried about the electricalI told her it was not a problem and I
would pay my electrician to come install it himself in order for their peace of mindHe came to install and while there the clients added on to the scope of work. I informed the clients there would be a week lead time to get materials in townWhen they arrived the supplier mixed up our materials with another order and we were finally able to get it straightened out! When the crew that I sent came out to reset the microwave and finish installing the job, (once the rest of materials arrived from supplier), the clients indicated they liked the second crew better and wanted them to finish the installso I obliged. The clients also asked to change the scope of work yet again to add removal of their old faux brick back splash and installation of a new tile backsplash.Atthe end of installation we realized the first crew cut the end of the countertop a little short so instead of trying to "repair" it I told client I would replace itI ordered the countertop and informed clients it was out of stock for a few days and we would be there Wednesday at around 8am to replace countertop. At I dropped off the countertop and informed the husband I was going to locate the crew and would be back. It was less than hours later I received a text from client indicating they wanted their "friend" to install the countertop and wanted me to pay itI asked what his price was they told me $I told them no way, that's too expensiveThen they said $is his lowest priceAfter informing them that I planned on taking care of this install that morning I decided to agree to their request, yet again, but I did tell them I would have to pick up a check that morning for the entire balance (minus $300). So When I went to collect the check they told me they weren't home and wasn't paying meI informed them the deal I made was clearly they can have whomever install it for $and they can subtract it from our balance but I had to be paid that morning! With regards to this "dent" on the fridge, I asked the crew about it and they said they no nothing about a dent and didn't create oneI told the client I was going to buy her and her husband a nice dinner at *** *** to make up for any "dent" issue and overall costumer satisfaction! Yesterday current brought up the dent again and wanted $for itI also informed them we could fill the screw hole in the cabinet while we installed the countertopThey decided to have their "friend" do it instead, which is finebut they passed on me to make whatever repairs for them. They technically broke the agreement and therefore my offer to play the $could be void if I choose so! But I'm not that type of person and will still cover the $a agreedif I get payment in full today! If not, that offer is completely off the table and I will be placing a lien on their home for non-payment plus have my attorney sue for their breach of contract! The original contract was for $5401.14The change orders totaled $460.16The total invoice is now $5861.30They have only paid

To whom it may concern,We have stated our position within this claim and it hasn't waivered. It boils down to this; client was upset, client breached our legally binding contract, client didn't follow Missouri contract statues-especially with regards to remodeling contracts, client is being unreasonable, and client is trying to get something for nothing! I have tried to accommodate every wish/demand this client has madefrom bringing in a full electrician to wire a garbage disposal (which was completely not necessary and I never told client we didn't know how to do it) to switching crews at client's request all the way to offering the client a nice dinner and a $credit for their perceived inconvenience! I offered client a deal of a $credit, but I had to be paid in full that day, and they accepted the creditbut then refused to pay that day and furthermore refused to ever pay in full! I am completely in compliance with our contract and with Missouri law. The client owes $647.89. On top of the trash they are trying to slander me withI will settle my claim against them with a payment of $and for them to withdraw any and all statements they have made about us and to never speak of us again to anyone. It is a shame that this situation had to end this way. I bent over backwards trying to please client. I guess you can't make everyone happy

To Whom It May Concern: My name is *** *** I filed Complaint #*** against *** ***, Remodel Me STL After reading Mr*** response to my complaint, I must submit a rebuttal I will do so here point by point as he made his responses "The client contacted me and asked if I could have someone else handle the garbage disposal installation because her husband was worried about the electrical..." Response: Mr*** came to our home to look at the garbage disposal My husband explained to him it was installed incorrectly Mr*** said he did not know anything about electrical work and he would send an Electrician to check it out.The Electrician came out days later He saw that the garbage disposal under the sink was hooked up and wired incorrectly under the sink He also noted the disposal was wired incorrectly in the outlit above the sink He had to totally remove and reinstall the disposal and remove all the wiring that was done in the outlit and redo correctly so it would meet codeWhile there, we asked him to check the other electrical work that was done by Mr*** crew to make sure it was correct To make room for a new cabinet being installed, Mr*** crew had to move an outlit to behind the stove The crew had put a cover plate over the hole where the previous one was When the electrician took the plate off to check the work, he found live wires tucked in and just covered with the plate Mr.***' crew did nothing to disengage the live electrical wires The electrician repaired the outlit and it now meets codeThe electrician also noted that the cord to the newly mounted microwave oven was smashed between the cabinet and the microwave He said that must be fixed as well (I will refer to this later.) He also checked the 2nd outlit above the counter top This one was not as bad as the others, but he did have to make a couple of adjustments so it would meet codeWe did ask him if he would add new outlit above where the new counter was going to be installed He did install itand yes we were billed for it by Mr*** "When the crew that I sent came out to reset the microwave and finish installing the job, the clients indicated they liked the second crew better...." Response: By this time, we found there was damage caused by Mr***' crew The first being the installation of the wall mounted microwave oven and a new cabinet above it The microwave was slanted because the cord was smashed between the new shelf and the microwave (This is what the Electrician had previously referred to.) The microwave had to be taken down so it could be installed correctly When this was done, it was found Mr***' crew had drilled holes into the top of the microwave to secure it to the cabinet above They did not use the proper mounting screws that came with the microwave They had also drilled a total of holes into the bottom of the new cabinet so they could thread the cord into the cabinet to get to the outlit The 4th hole finally made its mark It was during this time that Mr*** sent out a different crew to finish the kitchen We did not request a new crew He sent the new crew after the electrical errors were discovered by the Electrician "The client also asked to change the scope of work yet again to add removal of their old backsplash........" Response: Yes, we did change the scope of work a 2nd time To remove old backsplash and install the new backsplash It was completed and we were billed for it by Mr*** "At the end of installation we realized the first crew cut the end of the countertop a little to short......." Response: Mr*** told his crew to just fix it However, his crew told Mr*** that the countertop was unrepairable and had to be replaced It was cut about inches to short and could not be repaired It had to be replaced Mr*** was not happy about this but after talking with his crew he did agree to replace the damaged countertop "at no charge to us (the ***s)" ".......we would be there Wednesday at around 8am to replace countertop.........." Response: Mr*** did text me and said he would be at our home about 8am to finish up the job He came by at 8:15am to drop off the countertop on our carport He told my husband, and me via a text at 8:23am, that his guy must have overslept He left to go get him I came home from work and waited for Mr*** to come back or call At 10:30am we still had not heard from Mr*** After all the delays, errors, and damages that had been done up to this time, we were done I texted Mr*** that since he was a "no-show" to install the new countertop and since we had not heard from him in over hours, I was going to call someone I knew to finish installing the countertop and that I would deduct the cost of the installer from the amount we still owed Mr*** He told me he would't pay more than $for this person and I told him the bottom line was $ "With regards to this "dent" on the fridge......." Response: The dent/crease happened when the new bottom cabinet was being installed This damage cannot be repaired and cannot be popped out like a car dent Our refrigerator is only years old Unfortunately the first thing you see when you enter our new kitchen is the damage on the refrigerator At one point Mr*** offered a "nice dinner" to us to make it up to us for the damaged refrigerator I told him lets just wait until the kitchen is completed and make sure there is no additional damage At that response he said his crew didn't remember doing the damage, so he stopped offering any compensation for the damage to our refrigeratorDamages Done By *** ***, Remodel Me STL: Microwave Oven: now has holes drilled in top of oven that cannot be repaired Mr ***' response is you can't see them so it doesn't matter We paid for a new wall mounted microwave and we now have a new one with holes in the top.DEDUCTION FROM INVOICE: $ New Upper Cabinet: now has unwanted holes in the bottom Mr***' response again is you can't see them so it doesn't matter We paid for a new cabinet, not one with holes in the bottom DEDUCTION FROM INVOICE: $ Refrigerator: now has a dent/crease on side where there was none before and can be seen This you cannot cover up However, now Mr*** is saying his crew does not remember doing the damage (even though he tried to compensate by a nice dinner) DEDUCTION FROM INVOICE: $ (this is generous since a replacement refrigerator would be $1200.00) Labor for installing 2nd new countertop Mr*** was a no-show for this install We hired someone to complete his work that same day.DEDUCTION FROM INVOICE: $Details from Invoice: Invoice #dated 6/21/17: $5401.14Paid 6/21/17: - 4000.00Balance as of 6/21/17: $1401.14 ======= _________________________________________ New Invoice #alsodated 6/21/ $5861.30This invoice includes costfor backsplash and outlitPaid 6/21/17: - 4000.00Paid 7/20/17: - 701.44Paid 7/25/17: - 460.16Deduct Damages/No-show work - BALANCE OWING: 0.00PAID IN FULL I want to close this rebuttal by saying that Mr*** threatens us with a lien on our home, taking us to court, and ruining our credit rating He keeps asking me if $is worth it to me to have him do what he threatens My answer is yes Mr*** claims no responsibilities for any damages done or for the errors in the electrical work and installations Mr*** told me he has damage insurance before he started this project I do not understand why he does not file a claim for the damages caused by his company I Please contact me if you need any additional information *** ***, Remodel Me STL is not an honest or reliable man and company *** ***
