Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I called Remote Data Backups to cancel the service numerous times and they said they would take care of it, no one ever said that [redacted] (CEO of ***) had to cancel this himself The only reason they reached out to [redacted] was to see why we left their company They were not still backing up our information, this was disconnected from our server by our IT tech, so how could it be backed up? In closing, I would NEVER recommend them to anyone When someone wants to cancel services with you, you need to let them, not keep billing them and saying you will take care of stopping the service, only to find out that now they are saying they needed [redacted] to do the cancelling That is just Bad Business! Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: First of all, I am not the administrative assistant, I am the CFO and I am the one who authorized using this company, not the owner of *** I had cancelled in November of and they know that They did not want to lose our business, which I can appreciate, but you can't make someone utilize your service if they don't want to continue with you The bottom line is they were trying to bully me and that was extremely unprofessional From the time I cancelled, every month they billed our credit card and every month I called and they said I'm sorry we will take care of that, but never did Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: ***Hello ***,I am writing as a response to Ms*** 2nb Revdex.com response.The attachment provided is a snapshot of Remote Data Backups internal UI that validates that the authorized user of this account is not *** ***Remote Data Backups is a year successful data backup and recovery company with thousands of clientsWe have never had a data breach The person who is listed as the user of the account, Mr***, has credentials to this account which is the data for Mr*** from ***Mr*** can use his credentials (username and password) or give them with his permission to anyone to manipulate, delete data or cancel an account*** did not have access those credentialsRemote Data Backups did reach out to the authorized user, Mr***, multiple times by email and phone without a response until the last email provided on February 4thIf the user of the accounts forgets their credentials, Remote Data Backups validates the identify of the owner and then resets the password Please see included email thread of conversations between myself, the CEO of Remote Data Backups, and the user listed on the account, Mr*** for your complete auditing of this situation to resolve the issue After Mr***s response we were given permission to talk with *** and subsequently canceled the accountAs stated in our previous message, giving a user name and password to an unauthorized user can be very dangerousAn unauthorized user could erroneously delete data or may have intent to sabotage the authorized user we work hard protectIt is our policy to only reset credentials for passwords for the authorized users to delete date themselvesIn this case, the owner, finally after multiple attempts emailed me back, gave me authorization to talk with *** and then we deleted the data accordingly*** has already sent multiple chargebacks that we incurred charges for but did not reject as a customer courtesy.Cheers,Dan D***

Your data is still backed up at our data centers I need to hear from you to force a deletion if someone there cannot log on and do this as is our procedure As a rule, we never delete data on our end ourselves unless I as the CEO have talked to the person responsible. disputed amount of $Remote Data Backups is a year old data backup and disaster recovery providerThe administrative assistant who wrote the complaint had asked to delete all of the data for *** She informed by our company Remote Data Backups that it is the account holder’s responsibility to delete the data because of liability issuesWe had asked to speak to the actual owner to facilitate this, as we do with all of our clients to avoid mistakes, avoid employee sabotage scenarios and to make sure this was indeed what the owner of this business wanted Ms*** is an administrative assistant was not a representative on this data backup account for all of *** *** data Remote Data Backup policy is to give access only to the persons listed on the accountWe had told the administrative assistant repeatedly we need to talk to the owner to verify this was what the owner wanted and to reset the password for the ownerThis process takes all of minuteWe help people reset their passwords and provide hassle free cancelations.*** has since issued a chargeback on the amount that Remote Data Backups did not disputeThe account was canceled more than a month agoRemote Data Backups did incur charges for this account as our business must pay our distributer ** for data useWe did not ask *** to repay us for these charges.Thank you for your time,Dan D***

$228.95. Remote Data Backups is a 16 year old data backup and disaster recovery provider. The administrative assistant who wrote the complaint had asked  to delete all of the data for [redacted] . She informed by our company Remote Data Backups that it is the account holder’s responsibility to delete the data because of liability issues. We had asked to speak to the actual owner to facilitate this, as we do with all of our clients to avoid mistakes, avoid employee sabotage scenarios and to make sure this was indeed what the owner of this business wanted.  Ms. [redacted] is an administrative assistant was not a representative on this data backup account for all of [redacted]  data.  Remote Data Backup policy is to give access only to the persons listed on the account. We had told the administrative assistant repeatedly we need to talk to the owner to verify this was what the owner wanted and to reset the password for the owner. This process takes all of 1 minute. We help people reset their passwords and provide hassle free cancelations.[redacted] has since issued a chargeback on the amount that Remote Data Backups did not dispute. The account was canceled more than a month ago. Remote Data Backups did incur charges for this account as our business must pay our distributer ** for data use.
