HANDS DOWN the WORST experience and we haven't even moved in!! They are quick to get you in to apply and give them your money but the minute you decide to go with a different property, they give you every reason under the sun to KEEP YOUR MONEY!! Keegan is the worst at returning callsHe's conveniently always in a meeting, and Lacy I guess averages more then days to return a callI say I guess because I am still waitingTRUST me you can find a more reasonable property with a staff of more then a bunch of buffoonsI like how the other "ratings" came from the staff themselvesYou have been warned, don't bother stopping in unless you have an app and deposit fee to trow away

On July 24th, 2015, my wife and I were scheduled to move into an apartment at the Renaissance at Canyon Springs after we had previously paid are deposit and our credit was checked
We hired a moving company to move us and I called to get the keys so we could move in and we were told the apartment wasn't ready on the move in date (July 24th)I was charged a cancellation fee by the moving company and I went to the apartment complex and spoke to two representatives and the managerThey apologized and they said we could move in on that Saturday and we could pick up the keys after PMI told them that they already cost me $cancellation fee and that I expected reimbursementI told them that I would pick up the keys on Saturday and move in on Sunday morning
On Saturday when we picked up the keys my wife and I asked the representative to see the apartment and check it outThe apartment was feet shorter than then modelWe were told by the repthat the model was the same layout and size as the apartment that we were rentingWe also made arrangements to have new furniture that we purchased to be delivered the same day as the as the move in dateAgain we had to pay a cancellation fee to the furniture place and currently the furniture is in storage because the furniture does not fit into olur old apartment that we were forced to move back into
I was told that the apartment was ready and that this representative completed a walk throughWe went to see the apartment (At this point our utilities were installed -CPS Energy service was connected and AT&T was changed over also)We also paid a deposit again to the moving company for a Sunday move dateWe paid to have painting done and we purchased paint and had to pay for the paint job back on July 21stThe walls designated were not painted and the repsaid that we didn't provide enough paint for the three small accent wallsThe paint was calculated out to cover square feet and the wall surface was square feetThe apartment was a disaster when we walked inThe kitchen drawers were broken and two were missingThe 2nd bathroom had filth on the floor and the shower had stains that looked like feces and blood stains (I took pictures with my phone camera)The toilet was stained (this was disgusting)
I tried to park my car into the so called attached garage and the car couldn't fit into the garage (Honda Accord) because the garage design did not allow for the turn into the garageThe next door neighbor also had a large pickup and he had to move the truck just to drive the very narrow pathway to the garageYou would not be able to get a Smart car parked in the garage
The Kitchen had filth and what appeared to be mold under the kitchen cabinet below the sinkThe Master Bathroom toilet overflowed when I flushed it The apartment was filthyOne of the locks on the entrance door was brokenThe ceramic tile near the front door was crackedI was told that the apartment was inspected several times based on walk-troughs by both repsand the manager
Dish equipment secured to small steel I-beams were left on the small patio and looked like an eyesore and was just left there taking us space that was supposed to be used for a table and chairs
The garage was filthy with bugs crawling on the wallsWe had to cancel the mover again incurring the following costs: Mover cancellation fees, $fee from AT&T to move it from my previous location to Renaissance and another $to move it back for a total of $just for AT&T
We went to the Office to tell the manager and repsabout all the things we found and we were again told that several repscompleted a walk through and they didn't see any problemsOne rep took us back to the apartment and inspected all of the items we listed and she apologized to us and she agreed that the apartment was not fit to move inI believe that the rephad no intentions of giving our money back in to days
The lies that were told by the manager and reps, extensive expenses incurred by us regarding cancelled moving, furniture delivery, and utilities services on the day of moving (the first time then days later) after we were told by everyone including the manager that the apartment was ready was a total lie
We had all our packages sent to this apartment complex in anticipation of the move and based on the assurance that the apartment was ready and they were sent there and lost because no one could find them
We originally went to Renaissance in the beginning of June and we were shown the model and the size of the model was the size we needed for our furnitureWe were not allowed to see the apartment we were to rent because someone was living in it and that they were supposed to clean it outWe paid our fees and told we could definitely move in on July 24th by the representative and that there would be no troubleWe also paid for painting for small accent walls previously mentionedWe purchased expensive paint ($40/Gal) and came back at a later date and gave it to the representative who told us everything would be taken care ofWe kept calling back periodically to ensure that the painting would be completed because I am allergic to any type of paint fumesThe repre-assured me that it would be taken care of We paid $deposit by Check that was cashed by the facility way before we moved in
The Bottom line is we are out a lot of many and had to pay $extra to the apartment were to move out of in order to remain after Renaissance broke the contract that we all signed in good faithWhen I asked for our money back that we were entitled after they broken the contract twice, I was told it would take to days to get it backIt is over that time period and we still don't have the money and they don't answer their phonesWe have made many visits to the facility to speak to the manager and she is never availableI keep calling the facility using different extensions and I can't get anyone to speak to meIt is obvious they scammed us they defrauded us and they are getting away with it
The term "Bait and Switch" was obviously perpetrated on us we are out the money, had to pay additional expenses to move back into our smaller apartment, and the costs of cancelling utilities, furniture, and utilities have cost us a lot of money and tremendous stressOur mail and packages were sent to this facility and the management staff has not rectified any of the injustices we suffered from Renaissance at CanyonDon't make the mistake we made

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Response to apartment response
font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;">As far as yesterday went NO ONE came to fix the shower leak. I have not been notified of any work to be done as of yet. They are to give me a 24hr notice and have not received one. I know what they say but what they sad and what they do is completely on two ends of the spectrum. I am not holding my breath one their word some tenant have been waiting for things to be fixed for over a yr and still not done.

Keegan is the worst at returning calls. He's conveniently always in a meeting, and Lacy I guess averages more then 4 days to return a call. I say I guess because I am still waiting. TRUST me you can find a more reasonable property with a staff of more then a bunch of buffoons. I like how the other "ratings" came from the staff themselves.
