response to complaint number which was filed by a customer of my tattoo studio, Renaissance Studios in Endicott, NYBelow is my response to the filed complaint:This is the first interaction I have personally had with the customer who filed the complaintThe complainant never spoke to me (the business owner and operator) in person as my co-workers had suggestedShe made no attempt to come in the studio and speak with me regarding this issue.Deposits for tattoo appointments are non-refundable and required for all appointmentsClients are allowed to reschedule with at least hours notice without forfeiting the deposit, however a new appointment date must be set within days of proper notice to rescheduleDue to the permanent nature of our business we have a strict all sales final, no refund policyA large poster of our policies is posted, in plain view, at the front desk where all business transactions occur. There is also a large stack of these print outs freely available for our customers sitting right on the front desk, in plain view, where all transactions occurFurthermore, our strict no refund policy is printed directly on our register receipts, which all customers receive at the end of atransactioni have attached a copy of our policies and a copy of the complainants register receipt The required deposit amount is $75, though clients can put down more than that amount if they wishThe complainant was made aware of this by the desired artist in an online conversation before the transaction even occurredDuring this conversation, the complainant also stated her doctor had cleared her to get tattooedSoon after, the complainant put down a deposit of $at the studio and received an appointment date and credit towards said appointmentAs I am writing this, the customer still has $credit with Renaissance Studios that is still able to be redeemed towards our servicesThat being said, we cannot issue a full refundHowever, under the circumstances, I am willing to issue a partial refund since the complainant did in fact put down more than the standard deposit amount of $If this is satisfactory to the complainant then she should contact me, the owner and operator of the business, immediately at the studio during my hoursSincerely,Joshia R***Owner /OperatorRenaissance Studios
