Renewal By Andersen of Florida Reviews (%countItem)

I ordered 6 windows and a patio sliding door from this company (located ***) on 3/25/2020. These items were expensive. I waited 2 months for the items to be built. Once the items were delivered for installation, there were 3 window handles missing. In 2 months they could not get the order correctly. At this time I asked how long would it be to get and install the window handles - answer "we do not know at this time. We will let you know when the parts come in". Basically they took 2 months to produce the items, and they delivered with missing pieces. For a company claiming to be the top of the line, this is unacceptable. I then proceeded to wait an additional 1 month and 1/2, at which time I contacted them asking for an update. Their answer was "the items came in last week". Why wasn't I contacted at that time? Again, unacceptable. They scheduled to install the items 1 week from my call at 1000 hours. On that day, I waited until 1200 hours before I called them. Their answer, the installer is running late - will be there between 1400-1500 hours. Why did I not get a phone call with that update. Again, unacceptable.
This company has the worst customer service that I have ever dealt with. Even though the product is impressive, I would not recommend this company to anyone due to their customer service.

Thank you for reaching out about your concerns. We just spoke to the Customer and confirmed everything was completed and asked if he required any further assistance. The Customer stated he did not need anything else.

It has been a year since our 2-day project was started and it still isn't completed.
On July 1, 2019 we signed a contract with Justin Knolls to have 5 windows installed. We have perfect credit so we were approved immediately for the financing. On July 22, 2019 Yamel P introduced herself as our concierge. The windows were installed Sept 12 & 13, 2019. The crew was totally inept and barely even got the windows in during the 2 days. The supervisor wasn't present during the second day and the workers broke one of our windows. We subsequently found out from Dustin L, RBA's own inspector, they have numerous complaints about their work which another team had to be sent out to fix all of their mistakes to include improper installation, fitting, and positioning so you could literally see through the gap to the outside. He also informed me there were critical errors made when installing our windows that could cause water damage to our home which made our job a priority. It was over a week after receiving that information, that I started having to relentlessly call and email to find out why no one had called or shown up to fix these issues. By Oct 27, 2019 the actual windows were still not fixed but I started receiving calls from the drywall guy wanting to make an appointment with me to finish the inside and was rude to me when I told him the windows weren't actually done. In the middle of all this, the stucco guys called me at work and told me they were sitting outside my house waiting for me. I was never consulted about this but had to again take time off of work to meet another worker at my house; which we were told would all be taken care of during the 2-day install not several different people. Finally everything was put in and "finished" only to find out that when the windows are opened they fall back down. We were told by Dustin this was due to faulty balancers. It was the company's recommendation to put stops at the top so the windows don't actually open all the way so they don't fall down. This truly blew my mind...the suggestion that instead of fixing the problem, their answer is to impede the egress from our home by installing stops so the windows don't open all the way. The company agreed to order the balancers. They have also left a contractor's lien on our home because the project hasn't gone through final inspection which almost made us miss out on refinancing our home.

It is now July 2, 2020 and I am receiving zero communication yet again and no workers have shown up to finish our project that they have received full payment for, so I decided to try this route as I have done everything I was supposed to do through out this process to only be ignored and disrespected.

Desired Outcome

Install balancers so windows function properly and contractor lien removed from my home.

Thank you for reaching out with your concern. We have been in contact Ms., she is having an issue with her double hung window staying open. The remedy requires us to provide video of the issue to the corporate offices of Renewal by Andersen. Ms. was adamant that she would not take video nor would allow us out to take video. We will reach out again today to request the needed video that will assist us in identifying the issue and get her concerns resolved.

Purchased 11 windows from them only 10 have been installed. Have called the local office no return call. Have called corporate no return call.
Purchased 11 windows in March. 10 windows were installed on May 26. The remaining window was on "backorder". They called on June 9th to set up a day to install the last window. I have tried several times to follow up and schedule the installation with no return call. I the office and left a message two days ago for the operations manager Robert B to call me with no return call. I called Andersen corporate and complained two days ago and still no return call. This job was financed and they have already received final payment from the finance company.

Desired Outcome

Install my last window and screens that have already been paid for

The installation was actually completed on 6/23 after numerous calls to the local office and corporate. It wasn't until I filed the complaint with the Revdex.com that the job was completed. I have yet to receive a call from local management regarding my complaint.

I have contacted this company regarding the installation of a door. After year and have this contract have not been resolved. Finally a manager called me but I am not happy with their decision. They agreed to replace the door but he said can't give an amount of discount after they finish replacing the door. After all this time this company can't its not able to comply with the warranty. This is my second time communicating with Revdex.com.
Product_Or_Service: French door

Desired Outcome

Refund I want the company to take the door and refund my money or a discount in writing that it's aceptable.

Iam glad the company agrees with my request. They didn't at the first time. This prevents my decisions to contact the media. Hopefully this happens soon and don't take another year to finish what they promised.

Not many people would pay for a door that expensive. We purchased with the internet of having some security against the forces of nature, given our has had already been partially destroyed by a tornado in 1979. I expected the company to have integrity and complete the job. This started 1 year and 1/2. Since our last complaint about 4 months, no one has contacted us. The las person we spoke was Paul Lamboy, service manager. This person have no intention of keeping a good reputation for this company. They didn't accomplish anything they promised. Wanda I. ***. We apologize that you had a less than perfect experience with our company. The RbA Production Manager left a voicemail for Ms. on 6/2/2020 to go over this and left her his direct number to resolve. Thank you!

Customer Response • Jun 03, 2020

Thanks for the prompt response. Mr.Dean call today we spoke about options. He said they can replace the door. I want for them to take the door and refund the money we have paid. He said he can't do that. I don't see how er can trust a company that have given is so many excuses. Not happy with their decision. At this time I want to find a lawyer for advice. Thanks

Customer Response • Jun 10, 2020

I have submitted another complaint today because iam not happy with the results. Mr Dean can't provide me with information about the discount on the replacement of the door after the company finishes the installation.
