A product I ordered wasn't sent according to terms and the promised refund didn't come either.I contracted this company to pick up a package for me and send it to me overnight. They sent it by mail in error and promised to refund me the $50 charge. The refund has never been processed so in essence I paid $50 for a first class stamp!Desired SettlementYour company promised me two things and have never delivered either of those two things. Refund me my money please.Business Response On 07/29/15 [redacted] had requested our office to obtain a certified copy of a Marriage Certificate. Fee for obtaining a Marriage Certificate from the [redacted] County Recorder is $45. She further requested the Marriage Certificate be over-nighted to her residence. The additional charge for overnighting a document depends on the carrier fees and then the additional overnites fees are added to initial $45 charge for a pick up request. In this case the Marriage Certificate was not overnited and inadvertently priority mailed to her residence. She was not charged for the overnite fees and only billed for the priority mail fee. An email was sent by her on 08/12 acknowledging she received the document via snail mail but was unhappy that the document was not overnited as requested and demanded a full refund. A formal apology was made and then explained she was only billed only $45 for the pick up request and there were never any overnite [redacted]/ [redacted] made to her account. As indicated in her complaint, never was our office informed she never received the document. The only complaint she made was the document was not overnited. A fee which was never charged. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)To clarify my complaint against this company. The document was picked up and mistakenly mailed "snail mail" to me. The document was not received on quoted date. As far as being sent out "priority", is not accurate either. It was sent regular mail. My credit card was billed and the charges were never reversed. If I have to provide a copy of my credit card statement I can do that. In the meantime I've copied and pasted amount billed to my credit card. I was promised a full refund and that has not happened either. Both the supervisor I spoke to and the person who actually mailed the document said I would receive a refund. They did not provide the service they promised. The purpose of having the messenger pick up the document was to have it sent overnight. I was only that I would receive a refund. The document was to be sent out by mail and there was no need for me to pay $50 to have a letter mailed when I was going to get it for the cost of a stamp. Client was refunded in full $50.10 check #66240 on 11/30/15Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)I received a refund check and accept it because I was told I'd receive it. It's unfortunate that the company stated that to prevent further "hassle" it provide me a refund. This $50.10 can't compare to the loss I endured by not receiving my document by the promised delivery date.
