On 8/15/2014 my fience and I went from [redacted] to reno to visit our children when I arrived in reno the rear tire on my Honda Goldwing needed to be replaced I went to reno motorsports and thay gave what thay said was the best tire for a heavy motorcycle on our way back to [redacted] the tire blew out and we were stuck 6 hrs on hwy I called them thay did not care we had only got 288 miles on tire.I trailored my bike back to [redacted] went to a Honda dealer thay gave me documentation stating that the tire blew due to bad valve stem.reno sports said thay would put a new one on tire when I purchaced the tire thay did not and failed to check the tire for leaks and put us in server danger possible death. Thay at first said thay would replace tire with documentation from tire shop witch we gave them now thay donot tell me the truth and we are still waiting for payment These are careless people and should not be in business Sincerely [redacted]Product_Or_Service: 8/15/2014Order_Number: RECIPT ONLYAccount_Number: RECIPT ONLYDesired SettlementPAYMENT OF 306.86 THE COST TO REPLACE TIREBusiness Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] PresContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]This customer came in with a flat tire. We diagnosed that it was a leaky valve stem which caused the tire to go flat. He then blamed the previous shop for this and claimed he would sue them for damages. We sold him a new tire and valve stem. He stayed in Reno for a couple of more days and never contacted us with any problems. He then called us with info that he had a blow out. We told him to send us pics of the tire which he did. At no time did he send us any documentation that the valve stem was the cause or in any way that we were at fault. I contacted the tire manufacturer and they wanted to send out [redacted] to pick up the tire and valve stem so that they could inspect it and assured us that they would reinburse the customer in full once they inspected it. The customer told me that he had thrown away the tire and the valve stem and there was nothing left for us to inspect. Due to him throwing these items away we or the manufacturer were not able to inspect as to why the tire went flat and if there was any fault. At this point we informed the customer that we would not be giving him a refund due to no evidence that is was our fault. He then threatened legal action against us to which I did not reply to. As far as I am concerned this is a closed case.Consumer Response In responce to this case .first of all WE LEFT RENO THE VERRY NEXT DAY AND WHEN I CALLED THE OUNER ABOUT THE PROBLEM HE SAID TO TAKE PICTURES OF LOT NUMBER AND TIRE WITCH I HAD THE HONDA DEALER DO SO. MANY PICTURES WHERE SENT TO THEM FROM [redacted] THE OUNER SAID AT FIRST HE DIDNOT WANT OR NEED THE TIRE BACK AFEW DAYS LATER HE E MAILED ME AND WANTED TIRE I CALLED [redacted] IT WAS ALLREADY DISPOSED OF THE NEW TIRE I PURCHASED FROM [redacted] PERFORMANCE CYCLE ACCEPTED THEIR PART AND REIMBURCED US. [redacted] HAS DOCUMINTATION THAT VALVE STEM FROM RENO MOTOR SPORTS WAS FAULTY THE DOCUMINTATION I WILL SEND TO Revdex.com TODAY AND CONFORMATION E MAILS THAT ALL DOCUMINTATION WAS SENT TO RENO SPORTS I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISSAPOINTED IN A COMPANY PLEASE CONTACT [redacted] FOR MORE INFO IF NEEDED .MANY THANKS TO THE Revdex.com GREAT JOB.SINCERLY [redacted]Final Business Response You still have not given me any proof of why the tire went flat. Just because you say some shop in Tucson said it was a faulty valve stem is not proof. We never told you to dispose of the tire. You sent us pics which we forwarded to [redacted]. They wanted to see the tire so that they could inspect it as to why it went flat. Further more, we have not seen the valve stem so that we can inspect that either. We stand behind out work and our manufacturers stand behind their products. A pic of a flat tire is not evidence that we are at fault. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I will never be able to understand why you continue to lie you did tell me that you did not need tire or valve stem. how would I know about a lot number or their of I only did what I was told to do.I feel that since I only went 288 miles on this tire before it blew out that you should refund my money please feel free to contact [redacted] if you have any questions as I will continue my efforts to seek reimbursement.Thank You.Sincerely :[redacted]
