Reno Sparks RV & Auto Service Center Reviews (4)

My motorhome was at this facility from Labor Day until December of 2014. The first issue was the delay in getting the repairs done then once the motorhome was picked up numerous items were not put back together ie motor cover left off, grease tracked throughout the entire coach, electrical panel screws left off, bedframe not reassembled and most important of all was the gas tank boot which leaked fuel after we went to fuel the motorhome and we had to call the fire department to the gas station where we fueled up. Be cautious when using this business all we got was a " sorry" for our troubles.","neg-1

On January 12, 2015 Reno Sparks RV Repair took in a friends 1999 Newmar motor home which he had purchased "as is" in [redacted] on January 8th. At the time he took delivery of the rig in [redacted], it was clear the rear air bags and shock absorbers were not working. Other service was needed as well.
Reno Sparks RV repair did all required work in two days, delivering him the rig end of day on January 13th. A partial list of what was done included: general inspection, engine service, generator, service, replacement of all shock absorbers (badly needed), repair of rear air bags which failed to inflate, replacement of serpentine belt, top off of fluids, and perhaps other minor stuff. My friend was very pleased with the rapid response from Reno Sparks RV. He was particularly pleased with the improved ride and handling of the rig with the new shocks and functioning air bags.
The staff were friendly curteous and helpful, including running around town to several different places, successfully finding a repair kit for the air bag repair.
The cost for all of that was very reasonable, in my view, and in my friend's opinion.
I'd certainly recommend that shop to others.

We had our new motor home worked on here for steering issues. We picked up the motor home and thought everything was fine. They had replaced the steering box. Before we left their shop we noticed a hub cap was missing. They called another shop to see if it was there. So we think they had another shop do the work which they were supposed to do because they were the ones covering the manufacturers warranty. After leaving we drove home and didn't take it out for a few days when we were leaving for a trip and noticed that the power steering wasn't working and a few other this weren't working as well. Called to get it fixed and their phones are not working. We had to take it to another shop, they looked at it and said that all the wires by the steering box were cut. Now we have to get it fixed again and don't know if any of it will be covered.Desired SettlementThey are responsible for the wires being cut, so they should pay to have it fixed. We don't trust them fixing it. Also we can't get a hold of them and the shop they were in is no longer there.

Almost a year ago, I brought my RV (which is also my home) in to have the roof re-covered before winter. They did a shoddy job. I complained. They said they'd fix it; gave me a written guarantee. It still wasn't right and it leaked. Now, almost a year later, after having it for 9 weeks, they still have not fixed the shoddy job they did that caused the roof to leak. They said they needed it on their lot and it would take a couple of weeks. I've been 9 weeks without a home. I've called them and stopped in every week, often multiple times, to no avail. They treat me terribly, have no qualms about using profanity and aggressive, intimidating language, keep saying they'll get to it and then leave it sitting in the parking lot.Meanwhile, I have Multiple Sclerosis, so am disabled, and have lived for the past 9 weeks with various friends. I just got out of the hospital yesterday, having contracted pneumonia that caused a partial collapsed lung. My health is suffering over the course of these weeks. They have essentially left me homeless. They know I am disabled, and they know they have - I repeat - essentially left me homeless. They don't care. Winter is coming and I need my home back in working order.Product_Or_Service: Re-Roofing of RV motor homeDesired SettlementI have talked to another service organization and the repairs will cost more than the refund I would get from them. I want a refund of my $775, plus what it will cost me to repair roof at a more trusted source. My new service provider's estimate is approximately $3000 to repair what they've done (since the bad roofing needs to first be removed before they can do the right job on it). I have no money, so I need that $775 plus the difference in costs for a competent roofing job.
