I have a lot of problems with this company.

Do not hear the customer's problem, after the roofing. Do not take responsibility. Use accusative and mistrusting language,The screened back porch which was added on later in years, has 2 skylights. One had a a very small leak going back a year ago, but very minimal problem. The other skylight had no problem at all. Renoir construction put a new roof on in our home the 1st week of Nov 2013. And just before Thanksgiving, on Wed, with the first heavy rain after the roofing, a huge puddle water was under the problem skylight( compare to few small drops before roofing), and leak from the other skylight which did not have a problem before.During roofing the screen window of the bedroom right by the same roof was broken. Now, if you don't work gently around the skylights the glass would shift. And this what must have happened to the skylights of the porch .Desired SettlementI would like them to replace the skylight that had no problem before, and pay half of the cost of the other one, which had a minimal shift before roofing. Plus part of the roofing that the workers did in the dark looks problematic, they need to redo that part.Business Response /[redacted]/Mrs [redacted] roof replacement was approved by her insurance company due to hail and wind damage. In the initial conversation with us, she mentioned that the skylight was leaking. We signed a contract that included the roof replacement only. In the contract with us, it did not include skylight replacement, nor did her insurance company paid for it. We went above and beyond our contract, since we put new flashing and caulked the skylight. Our recommendation was to replace the skylight. We have finish our contract above and beyond. She want us to pay for the skylight and is holding $2830.96 from the contract final payment. she wants to get a free skylight by withholding our final payment.Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/The paper that I signed, stating that the work was complete, was signed few days before the first heavy rain since the new roof was installed. Thereby revealing the problem later.I have said all these personally to [redacted], but he never acknowledges it, and keeps saying that is not their problem, and he would send they collection agencies after me. That is the only response he has had all along. The second problem- the workers worked very late one of the evenings, and the part they did in the dark, is wavy causing concerns of potential future leak. When I brought that to [redacted] attention, he said once we get warm temperatures it will settle. My question is : why other parts of the roof does not look wavy if that is the case? Why only the part that was done after sunset and literally in the dark is wavy? I would like them to redo that part . It is only a ver small area. I just don't take their wor anymore. They need to replace that part too.I have all of these backed by text, exchanged between me and the company, when I was expressing my concerns with them over texting. Final Business Response /[redacted]/We contacted Mrs [redacted] to resolve this problem but she is going to be out of the country until January. We have spoken to arrange an appointment once she comes back to resolve this matter for mutual benefit of both parties.

I have a lot of problems with this company.

My job was started on 10/12/2013. It is now 10/24/2013. I have sent emails and called and left messages daily and have not received one return call.My job was to include roof replacement, siding replacement on my chimney and Gutter replacement. The materials for the roof arrived one day late so the job started a day late. The materials delivered were incorrect, so then the job started late until the proper materials were delivered. I never received an invoice of the materials ordered and how much materials, were ordered, to see what was left over and if I was credited for the unused materials. I have been trying to contact Renoir through email and daily phone messages to find out when my job will be completed.Desired Settlement1.) When will the job be completed?2.) What will be done as far as a refund for the damaged flower bed. Business Response /[redacted]/Mr. [redacted]'s roof was completed by 10/7/2013. We actually have resolved all the pending issues with Mr [redacted] and have come to a successful completion of this project. We have received the first payment from him and we will be meeting with Mr. [redacted] this coming Friday to collect the final payment. Consumer Response /[redacted]/My Garden was destroyed by old roof shingles being dropped on it during the replacement of my roof.I contracted Renoir Construction to replace my roof on 8/26/2013. I also discussed have some gutters replaced on the front of my home along with some siding on the back of my chimney to be replaced. At the time of drawing up the contract [redacted] stated that he would have someone from outside their company contact me about the Gutters as they would do it cheaper that what Renoir could. The same also applied to the siding on the chimney. On May 30th , 2014 I had [redacted] over to my house to inspect the Garden I had put in prior to the roof being put on the home. I showed [redacted] pictures I had of the Garden prior to the roof install and I also showed him Photos of how the garden was destroyed by the tearing off of the old roof, as they didn't protect the garden with the Tarp. Then [redacted] also took pictures of the state of the Garden on May 30th, 2014. This was discussed between [redacted] and myself when it occurred also. At that point it was decided that we would wait and see how the Garden comes back as all the plants were Perennial. Only two plants came back and the rest were destroyed. I told [redacted] that the replacement of those Plants was at least $150.00 or more. [redacted] indicated that he extended credit to me on the final bill to compensate me. I reminded him that the credit he extended me was to compensate me for the additional cost of my Gutters since he never had anyone contact me to do them as promised. That left me to get someone on my own, which cost me more money because when you have someone do your gutters along with your Roof you get a discounted price. When you get someone to just do the Gutters the price is inflated. Renoir States that they do all this work , but they really don't. [redacted] said he would have to discuss this with his partner and get back to me within a week. I provided him with all the photos I had that clearly showed the damage and how it occurred to share with his partner. I haven't heard back from [redacted] since that meeting. There has been a serious communication problem with Renoir Construction since the day I Contracted the job in August of 2013. I am disappointed with this Company as they have clearly not lived up to what they described to me about their Company prior to signing the contract. This is the second time I've had to submit a complaint on them to the Revdex.com. This is because they respond to them, when they won't respond to me. I wanted Renoir Construction to replace the Perennial Plants that were destroyed by their workers in the process of putting a new roof on my home. $150.00 and the return of my Photos. Business Response /[redacted]/On November 7th, 2013 our client and our company signed a Certificate of completion, in which the client confirms the work was performed and more importantly the home owner inspected the work performed by Renoir and accepted the work as satisfactory. In our client's own words, we specifically told him that the gutters where done by a third party. He understood that we were going to give his information to that third party and he would deal directly with them. We sent the information to the gutter company and it is their responsibility to follow up with their new clients. Renoir never gave an estimate on what that gutter cost would be, so determining an amount that the client paid above or below, is impossible to know. Regarding the plants, the client provided copies of pictures of the before and after of the bed plant, on sept 9th and after, november 2013 and by visual inspection on may 2014, the plants are growing and in great shape. In any case, the client argued that the plants had been destroyed and he said that the cost was $150. On November 7th, 2013, we agreed to deduct more than double that cost as a courtesy and not charge for the cost of the drip edge installed at a cost of $380. The job was completed in its entirety; we provided extra free services as courtesy and went above and beyond what was agreed in the written contract. Hopefully we can close this matter. Business Response /[redacted]/Photo's provided by the client, please compare the dates of the before and after and you would determined that the plants look bigger and fuller on NovemberConsumer Response /[redacted]/(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Renoir's explanation concerning the Gutters is a complete lie. They advertise that they do gutters and they do not. they said that they would have another contractor who does Gutter work contact me. They did share with me a quote of a couple hundred dollars to do the work. That contractor never contacted me and Renoir never followed up with me on that. So as I stated earlier, one would assume this was all a lie to mislead me to signing up with them to replace my roof, which is all they do. The fact still remains that they make promises on the spare of the moment and then never follow through with those promises. They believe if they ignore a situation it will go away. I stand by my original statement about the compensation about the gutters and the pictures clearly show that my claim isn't a lie and their claim is clearly a lie.
