I had a rather terrible and emotional experience at this business. I left feeling threatened, ashamed and almost in tears. I really wish I had never set foot on the property at all; I feel that any business owner should treat current and potential customers with dignity and some measure of respect.
The owner of this establishment, [redacted] was selling a vehicle on behalf of one of his clients and I had taken an interest in it. I was working on getting my financing finalized for the vehicle and had placed the requested $100 deposit, with the understanding that I would have ~24 hours to purchase the vehicle before he moved on to other interested parties. Sadly my financing fell through as the bank did not like the mileage and age of the vehicle. I notified [redacted] of this and after some discussion he agrees to return my deposit. Now though he wasn't happy about the situation, he seemed calm enough.
When I arrived, he kept me waiting for almost 10 minutes as he played on his musical instrument in the office area. He then spoke quietly but aggressively about how I had wasted his time, that he had lost business on the car (though I had paid the deposit for the 24 hr hold) and that my time was not as important his was. He then started tearing apart my prior purchase agreement before me stating it was useless. He continued on to say that he did not waste time with people who could not afford to buy cars, and that I should never come back to buy a car ever again. He gave me my deposit and then told me he would never sell me a car there and to leave and not waste his time. At this point he was shouting at me. I won't lie and say that I wasn't scared, ashamed and angry at the situation but it saddened me that he would not allow me to say a sentence or even apologize for the lost business.
