[redacted]’ concerns.On April 7th 2014, Mr. [redacted] purchased a 2008 GMC Acadia from Fiehrer Motors with an odometer disclosure of 82,683 miles. In addition, Mr. [redacted] purchased a 36-month, 36,000-mile, $100 deductible warranty.On April 9th 2014, Mr. [redacted] returned with the vehicle with 83,153 miles and expressed concern that there was a transmission issue. Upon further investigation, the transmission calibration was out of date and we updated the (TCM) transmission control module with new GM calibration specifications. The following day, Mr. [redacted] returned to the dealership and noticed some suspension noise. We determined that a rear tow link bushing was loose and a leaking shock. His concerns were correct and we replaced the tow link bushing, replaced the shock and performed a 4-wheeel alignment. These services were goodwill adjustments with no charge to the customer. Total for the above repairs was $701.26. On September 22nd 2014, Mr. [redacted] returned to Fiehrer Motors (93,012 miles) with the following issues:Clunking noise on uneven surfaces or hard turns.Right mirror inoperativeWhen using the remote start feature, vehicle exhibits erratic RPMs.With regards to the clunking noise, we found failure of the rear lower control arm bushings. The left and right rear control arms were replaced and we performed a 4-wheel alignment. The right mirror had a motor failure. The motor was covered under the extended warranty but did not cover for repainting of new mirror assembly. We did verify some erratic RPMs, and recommended a regular maintenance fuel cleaning service of which they denied. The total of these repairs was $1,418.77. Mr. [redacted] paid $318.27 for the painting of the new mirror, deductible ($100) and regular [redacted] conventional oil change and tire rotation.On September 30th 2014, Mr. [redacted] returned (93,641 miles), with an inoperative driver’s seat. IT was determined that the track assembly failed and we repaired it. Total cost was $970.52. Mr. [redacted] paid $160.37 covering his deductible and rental car.On January 17,2015, (97,238 miles), Mr. [redacted] car was towed to the dealership. Prior to being towed to Fiehrer Motors, the [redacted] were experiencing intermittent no start conditions and assumed that they had a faulty battery. Before having the vehicle towed, they replaced the battery and the vehicle still exhibited a no start condition. Upon examining the Acadia, the vent tubes for the sunroof were clogged which can result in leaks in the A-pillar. This water can sometimes leak on the UP BEC (Battery Electrical Center) and /or onto the floor area. We confirmed the damage to the BEC. We replaced the block, cleaned the corrosion, replaced the connectors and added dye electrical grease. Under the terms of the extended warranty, water damages are not covered. The total charges were $1097.02, Mr. [redacted] paid $997.02 after a $100 goodwill credit.With regards to the intermittent lights, we have not had an opportunity to correct the problem. We are happy to diagnose and repair this at no charge. It is also not uncommon for water to drain from a wheel well when removed.Fiehrer Motors sold the vehicle to the [redacted] in good faith. We have also performed all repair services in good faith as well. Mr. [redacted]’ settlement demands are not an option. We are sympathetic to the inconveniences, however, Mr. [redacted] statements regarding how we handled their services are not quite accurate.We are committed to a continued relationship.
