I payed for a new roof back in since then I have numerous text, paperwork and calls between the company and myself they kept sending people to fix all mistakes they made initially but never did they do what our contract said they would doNow they are telling me they can't do anything unless I pay more since my contract is now expired! Now my roof/ceiling is caving in

Ray Mosley threatened to install a mechanic's lien on my property if I didn't pay a Net-invoice in hours (?!) When I wanted to pay interim amounts due, Renovation Roofing provided figures in excess of contracted amounts and did not provide evidence for same, despite multiple requests from me 1) Secured initial estimate in January In September 2015, I finally decided to contract the work - at which point Mosley revised the estimate and tried to add charges for the flat roof, clean-up, and haul-away; charges which were clearly itemized and covered in the initial estimate and should not have been added - this amounted to double-charging Took several rounds of communication for this to be fixed 2) Work began November 11th with workers smoking and playing their radio loudly After half the day, they left and didn't return I called Renovation Roofing to find out what was going onThey said they had found that I need new sheathing and couldn't continue until I approve it - so they had been sent to another job Meanwhile, I was home and easily reachable - could have approved all and kept the job going had they only tried to contact me That sheathing is the one change order I approved telephonically, additionally confirming it through email 3) On the second day, one of RR's trucks took out a corner of my retaining wall Took pictures; notified my insurance; and contacted Mosley When he finally responded, Mosley denied that his truck had caused the damageI proceeded to get masonry estimates and was prepared to hire a contractor when I came home and saw someone finishing a repair job To his credit, Mosley had gotten someone to enact a repair To my detriment, he hadn't notified me that this was going to happen, and I would not have completed the job the way it was done (e.g., it needed rebar reinforcement since the corner had been knocked off) 4) I expected to be notified when the 10% and 40% of the invoice totals were due, but was notSubsequently, I received a call asking for 50% to be paid, and I agreed to send a check to reach them by the end of the week However, the 50% figure they quoted me was higher than the contract I signed plus the one change order So I called and emailed, asking for an updated invoice in order to find out how they had reached their figures, in an effort to resolve this and pay them their 50% I never received a phone call or email with that information 5) Mosley came to the property on 11/for a "final walk-through," and I had requested that he bring with him a hard copy of the invoice which would reflect the correct costs Instead, he brought a copy of the original October contract with the initial numbers I still can't pay 50%, much less 100% of something, when I don't have evidence of what that number is As a result of the walk-through, he was supposed to correct things and leave a business card in my door when those things had been completed I saw no evidence at all of things on that punch list having been completed and never found such a business card indicating their completion For example, there were still nails all over my property and something that required Kilz priming and re-painting had not been touched 6) Nevertheless, I received a Net invoice on 12/with charges in excess of two thousand dollars beyond our original agreement I immediately emailed, explaining that their figures were inconsistent with the contract and that I hadn't approved additional charges beyond the one change order Mosley replied that the repairs were required by law, and that I now had only hours (not days) to pay the bill or they would issue a mechanic's lien on my property 7) I wrote RR a letter detailing their abuse of California Business and Professions Code Section 159.6, which requires notice of any changes to contractor estimates before work proceeds; enclosed a check for the amount I believed I owed (the contracted amount plus the one change order I approved); and directed that the check be cashed only in consideration and agreement of the amount owed having been paid in full 8) They cashed my check Confusingly, they had directed me to make it payable to Ray Mosley directly, not Renovation Roofing, in order to provide a 5% "discount for cash." 9) A couple months later, they attempted to file a mechanic's lien on my property I refused to accept notice of same, and have not heard more from them A three-day roof job took almost three weeks; included dealing with a significantly damaged retaining wall; involved workers who smoked and played loud music on my property; had three unfinished punch-list items; required significant time, effort, and communication to correct an estimate which double-billed me; ultimately attempted to charge $2K more than the contracted estimate; produced a 72-hour payment demand on a Net-invoice; and resulted in an attempt to levy a mechanic's lien on my property Good timesIf this is your idea of a professional roofing contractor, Renovation Roofing is your company On the upside, I seem to have a good roof and skylights I only hope that maintains, as I don't expect to get service for any potential warranty issues after writing a truthful review here - based on Yelp reviews that enumerate RR's unresponsiveness to problems after the job If this in fact occurs, I will update this review

Renovation roofing issued a roof warranty on my home in March of as part of the previous owners process of selling the houseThe roof certificate stated that renovation roofing believed that the roof would be in good condition for the next years and issued a warranty for the next one year, this warranty was transferable to the next home owner, which is me I purchased the home in April of the same year I noticed in September after a rain event that the roof leaked in the kitchen next to the wall between the garage and kitchen I reported it to R.Rand they sent a repair team to patch the roof This being San Diego and we don't get much rain I didn't know that the patch didn't work until the next rain event the next month It leaked again and I called again, this time it took a couple of calls to get them to come out They went on my roof but I couldn't visually tell that they did anything and the next time it rained it leaked againg I have called times to report

A proposal/contract was madeA crew came out to reroof part of my houseThey used foul language all the time even after I asked not toThe neighbors complained even had to close their windowsThey tore off an electrical power strip they were using, dislodged the hot water exhaust vent, cut or broke a phone line, dislodged solar light tubes, broke removed hot water solar panels leaving broken glass in driveway and street, did not clean up nails properlyFor the most part they did poor sloppy work They said they were going to waive a $fee of the solar panels removal and still charged me for it Most of problems were resolved or I did the work myself I do not want someone else to go through what I went through with that crew

Original call came in on 1-13-by [redacted] , requesting to meet at Harbinson for repair estimate 10: I arrived on time and nobody was home I called [redacted] and left message He called back at 11:apologizing and granting permission to go on roof When I called him back with report recommending new roof, he said he was going to put new roof on in near future but for right now he just wanted to stop leaks from going into house I strongly recommended new roof (sent photo’s of items needing addressing) as this roof has numerous problems, however, we could attempt repairs for approx $with a one year warranty as he planned on replacing roof by then signed contract 0n 1-23-15On 2-03-we started work on repairs Nobody home We had three men there for approx hrs we returned 2-04-with two men finishing repairs in approx hrssee attached proposal # [redacted] for a partial list of items addressed Note: nowhere on proposal does it state anything about wood replacement or wood repair as that usually only happens at time of re-roofing(Less expensive on both labor and materials)hard to tethree layers of shingle roof and replace wood and re-install layers shingles to make level We sent out invoice on 2-05-15.Two weeks later [redacted] called stating she wasn’t satisfied with repairs as we didn’t change out wood on patio eave We explained that the wood wasn’t included in proposal (only leaks into residence) she said she wouldn’t have signed contract if she had know that [redacted] was aware that we were not going to change out any wood But, as we value customer relations, as a courtesy, we would come out and repair piece of plywood with appt being made on 2-at 8: We arrived as scheduled with nobody answering door (no access as gate is locked with dogs in yard) She called, rescheduled and we made another date3-18-AgainNobody home Third time she said someone would be at the house all day (3-20-15) and we arrived as scheduled Again, from 7:to 8:and nobody answered doorCalled office at 9:stating they didn’t here doorbell and we were leaving as he answered door We had sent original invoice with request for payment on 2- Sent past due notice on 3-and 3- I then instructed office to inform her that we were not going to make any further appts until payment received We finally received payment 0n 3-31-, two (2) months after receipt of invoice. As I was considering returning with goodwill gesture on 4-11-15, I happened to receive a complaint filed by her to the Revdex.com dated 3-28- She basically filed complaint before sending out payment for work doneIn retrospect:#She did not discuss items on contract - [redacted] didAnd he understood exactly what was entailed in contract.#Nowhere on proposal/contract does it state anywhere: we will change out, replace, repair wood or anything else on Patio or Residence#We informed her to pay for contract work completed and we will then attempt to satisfy any complaints#She was also informed (per contract) if monies not paid on time, forfeiture of any discounts would apply and the total amount of invoice is now the original cost of $.#We will attempt one final visit (making it at least 4x total) to replace that inaccessible small piece of plywood allowing water onto her outside concrete when raining[redacted] President

This review is based on a warranty certificate on a home I purchased in April this yearI didn't have them install any roofing products, I'm just trying to get them live up to their promise The previous owner had the roof inspected by Renovation Roofing and by their estimation the roof would be good for years and under warranty coverage for one yearThis was a good sales tactic and it did put my mind at ease since the house is over years old Unfortunately every time we had more than just a trace amount of rain it would leak in my kitchen and garage, and the wall that separates the twoI'll attach pictures and a video to show this They have come to my house to attempt to repair this leak times now and I have called them times to report the problemMy assessment is that are simply trying the fastest and cheapest way to stop the leak but there is a more significant problem that they are ignoring I've asked to speak to a Manger or the owner and was told me that he would call me, they even gave me a specific time that he would call...so I wait for the call and no call ever came At this point their failure to repair the leak is causing additional damage to my house I've been patient with this company and have been trying to get this resolved for months, they had every opportunity to avoid this negative reviewIf you need roofing services I can't in good conscious recommend this company

Suffered hardship and damage to personal property after roofer removed roof and not covering the roof during the storm in December Issues with roofer and his unprofessional approach of harassing tacticsThrough the reroof process the roof was not completed properly until after we refused to sign off on the financing through the hero program This took several months moving into the month of April 2016, until he finally agreed to finish the job I feared for my home and welfare because of Ray Moselys yelling, harassing underhanded tactics He lied repeatedly during the entire ordeal Claiming he could not get a permit due to city closer, when in fact the city was operating during the holidays

I hired Renovation roofing on February to fix the leak on our roof.March I received the invoice and paid for what is dueAfter weeks rain poured, same spot is leaking so I contacted the company to have it fixed, sent pictures of the leakWith no appointment or heads up someone showed up not knowing where the leak isWhen I got home less than an hour the guy is done and goneI contacted the company asking what was fixed because I want to make sure it was taken care ofI hardly get any response but I got the bill So complained that I was told it was under warranty but I got billed and I sent them pictures of nails all over the roof after the jobAccording to the email I received bill is zeroed out because of the nails and debris left on the roofRain came again and leak is still on the same spotAgain I contacted the company to ask if someone can fix the problem for the 3rd timeNow they are saying there is another leak that they fix and I got another bill and my original leak still exist! I got a response that they have done their part and asked me if there is still leak on march rain, I responded with a big YES it is still leaking on the same spotthat I would like to request and set up a date and time so I can pinpoint exactly where the problem is4th attempt, someone called me on Friday April 7th asking if they can come and fix the leakI responded with no one had set the date and time so nobody is home to point out the leakThe person responded I know where it is , it is close to the chimneySo I told him as long as you know exactly where the area then go aheadPerson called me to tell me "you have chimneys" To make it short they fixed an area far from where the leak is, times working on the same spot getting billed times for the same spot and I still have a LEAK!
