Renovations by The Pope Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The “free home inspection” was actually a job estimateWe did not want to purchase the house if the bathroom couldn’t be remodeled the way we wantedRich Pope met us at the house and inspected the framework of the house to let us know if the work we wanted could be done, and if he would be able to accept the job He also looked at other areas of the house in relation to the smaller jobs we knew we would want done. One of the other jobs included roof repair that our lender considered mandatory to be fixed prior to closingWe paid Rich separate for that repair and for reasons unknown to us it was not complete until the holiday weekend prior to closing. We had complained to Rich previously about the constant delays and suggested he might be over-extended and it might be better for us to find someone who could dedicate them self to our job but he asked us to allow him to at least complete the projects he had startedNone of the bathroom plan changes affected Rich Pope’s schedule as he hadn’t even started on the master bath and the changes we had in mind amounted to a few questions to him over email. By the time Rich said he was ready to begin working on the master bathroom we were not feeling totally comfortable in our working relationship with himWhen he was a no-show on day one of the master bathroom demo we decided to cut ties. Rich Pope had responded to us over the course of the first two months and told us multiple times that he would send payment at the end of the week or next week or by the end of the month, etc. Our issue with Rich Pope is that we asked for a refund, he agreed we were due the refund but to date we have not received our refund and his promises to send any part of the refund, except for the one time have also been no-shows.For these reasons and most notably because no firm date or amount was mentioned, the business response is rejected.

I have completed several jobs in the past for this client with no questions or concerns especially about quality and satisfaction of work performedI dropped everything and even worked thru a holiday weekend on this property repairing a roof and ceiling after spending time with them doing a FREE
property inspection, all so they could close on the house and take possessionYes I did fall behind schedule, when I am working at a clients home and they add things to the list that puts you behind schedule or when emergency calls come in or when I get sick all things play a factorI honestly thought we had settled timeline issues and were moving forwardThe master bathroom changed designs a few times, when it was finally decided to pry ways I had to scramble to reschedule jobs that I had already rescheduled to complete this project and then start over getting things in order to finish jobs and collect money to issue a deposit refundCurrently I am waiting on payment from homeowners for jobs completed to complete the refund and have been in contact keeping them updated Renovations by The Pope
