After a brief period of professionalism and some good work, [redacted] he and his workers proved themselves to be very unprofessional, some were drunk, others behaved in a most bizarre manner. When I wanted my $1,000.00 advance returned to me (for work yet undone)- he not only became belligerent, but actually threatened to strike me violently in my own home. So, please, post my complaint in a public place, hopefully to save someone else from the shock and misery this man can generate.

Review: Through [redacted] I was referred to Renovationyc.com to do some work in my home. I explained that I am on disability and that we would have to proceed slowly, but I did want some work done. Although I made the mistake of paying cash, the initial work was done well. For a tiny bathroom he wanted $1,000.00 - my faith was shaky but we proceeded. He then sent two men into my home, one was drunk and the other was feigning some sort of floppy-arm episode to get out of work in the bathroom. Still in all, I gave him an aspirin and a glass of water. I let him use my blood pressure cuff even though I remain certain he was faking. The bathroom and hall got sloppy jobs including paint on my suit through a closed closet door. I told their boss, this [redacted], that I had paid more than enough money for this increasingly shoddy work and that I wanted my $1,000.00 advance (for the work we hadn't started yet) - I wanted it back. He came to my home, unannounced and when I opened the door he was on my very threshold in a threatening manner (raising his shoulders and fists and taking a step toward me into my home.) When I got angry he ran. Now, he's calling my home 4/**/15 in the evening and threatening to, "Call me home at all hours of the night, and "Come and get me." This is whom the [redacted] sends to the homes of clients? This has gone way to far.Desired Settlement: As far as I can figure, this nasty man threatening to call my home at all hours and, "Come and get me," should be compelled to cease and desist any further contact with me through the mail, on the phone or in person. To my great regret the "Honor System" was wasted on Renovationyc, so my claim for the $1,000.00 he owes me loses its teeth. So does his counter claim and by law, should his threats of reprisals and revenge. Please help me with this.
