The price that we quoted Mr*** was substantially lower than what he was quoted by our competitorsWe lowered it even more when he wouldn't allow us to do interior and exterior trim but he seems to think we are trying to overcharge him.The windows that Mr*** had were impossible to remove without cutting through the vinyl flangeThat is why his type of window removal is refereed to as a "vinyl flange remove." The vinyl flange does not get removed from the house, it is the window that gets removed from the vinyl flange The cost of this type of window removal is $per window and it was included in his contract next to Metal/Vinyl Flange RemoveAnytime we remove a metal window or vinyl window with a nailing flange it is imperative to do interior and exterior trim to prevent water from getting in between the wallsSince Mr*** would not allow us to do this we deducted it from the price but we still had to remove the existing windows, so we did not deduct the additional cost of removing windows with a vinyl flangeThe total cost of the removal of his windows is $225, that is the amount he is disputing but he has no ground to stand on because it was included in the contract and the work was done.We are happy that Mr*** had such nice things to say about our installers and is highly satisfied with his windows.Thank you,Eric AlbrechtRegional OwnerThe Window Source of Akron-Canton
It is unfortunate that Mr*** did not trust our advice on how his windows should be installedOur reluctance to do it his way was based on his best interests and doing the best installation we can, it was not based on greed as he might suggestOn the day of the installation Mr*** said if it
was not done his way he would not pay us at all.We deducted the cost of the interior trim stops ($25) and the cost of the exterior trim ($55) however we did not deduct the cost of the vinyl flange removal ($15) because that was work our installers did and were paid for doing$x windows = $which is the amount Mr*** is disputingThis work was included in the original contract and performed so we will not be refunding this money.I have included a completion form that shows Mr*** was "Highly Satisfied" with his windows, the installers, and the clean up of job debris
