REFUSAL TO PROVIDE SAFETY PROVISIONS AND TURNED OFF A/C DURING HOTTEST DAYS OF MONTH
I filed a complaint on July 1, 2023, and paid the requested $150.00 fee. I am completely disabled, and was placed in a very dangerous situation with a maintenance worker who turned off my A/C and then tried to get me to open my apartment door. Please read Mollie Patterson's RN, FACEBOOK pages for a complete explanation of the horrors I lived from June 3, 2023 when Clifford turned the A/C off up until now. I am frightened, yet I have never heard from the Rental Protection Agency. They have not sent me one email, or a receipt for the $150+ dollars they took out of my checking account. I am frightened. Erika, our Apt. manager continued to have my A/C turned off and then threatened that it would remain off unless I allowed into my apartment the same maintenance man who turned off my A/C, and then used criminal means to try to get me to open my apartment door on June 3, 2023. The police were called. Our manager attempted to delete all mention of the June 3, 2023 event from my tenant portal. She continued to tell me that unless Clifford, the maintenance man that turned my AC off, on June 3, 2023, was allowed into my apartment for 3 hours, to "fix" the central A/C, I would not have a A/C. She was aware that the problems was not in my apartment, and later turned it back on from the generator in the attic, when I sent her an email that I was dying in my apartment that had a 96 degree temperature. I now have the after-effects of heat stroke. I am 77 years old, and is disabled. Not once have I even been able to notify this agency as to why they have not given me a receipt, or acted upon my complaint. Each time I put in my Complaint number and my Pin number, it is either not "the correct one," or they refuse to acknowledge me or my complaint.

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me I will not ask the Rental Protection Agency for a refund, because I still wish to use their servicesI will follow their instructions and close my case so that the documentation I paid for will be sent to meIt would be very nice if the RPA could post these details on their website clearly, because I am not the first person that has had to go to the Revdex.com in order to find out informationI also do not understand why the RPA provides two telephone numbers and a live chat button if no one will answerThis could lead their clients to feel that they have been scammed into paying for services that they will not provide Sincerely, [redacted]

They did not provide the services as agreedWhen I filed the complaint on 11/21/there were things I needed from the landlord for a resolution to the bed bug problems, and RPA only listed oneI was unable to log on to their siteI tried and triedI sent support tickets and they went unanswered, I tried to call them several times through their support line and it just ringed and ringedIn the support tickets I asked them about all my concerns, Like I did in the above complaint and nothingThey never followed throughYou can try and try to log in and after about times trying maybe youI filed my complaint here and I asked for a refund, RPA could of and should of done so but refuse to so no I do not agree to just let it goAnd take this loseI am disabled and live on a fixed incomeRPA took money with not providing what was agreed my landlord never received the complaintBy my understandingAnd I asked RPA for a receipt from USPS that she did and nothingIf RPS was so concerned by customer satisfaction and by their reputation then do what I paid forBut you rather escaulate this over $If you just refunded my payment then I might of just removed my complaint and let it goBut it appears that will not happen

I'm in receipt of a complaint notice filed by [redacted] * *** [redacted] has made claims that the RPA is somehow a complete hoax and scam These claims are and have no merit We find this tone and verbiage to be slanderous and libel in nature The RPA takes these statements seriously and will defend against them The RPA has been in business for over years and has helped thousands of tenants resolve landlord tenant disputes In no way do we claim to be a government agency All government agencies will use a .gov extension in their URL While the RPA works with many government agencies to resolve and educate tenants and landlords we are not a government agency and we don't make any claims of that nature Much like the Revdex.com, the RPA is set up to help tenants by providing them an official place to file complaints We cannot force landlords to comply and respond to our complaint notices, but in most cases, landlords do respond When a landlord fails to respond the case is eventually closed and counted against the landlord All complaint records become public information and are quickly indexed by all major search engines A negative complaint record can make it difficult for a landlord to fill vacancies with quality tenants The entire process is clearly explained on the complaint page where the tenant filed their complaint against their landlord and agreed to the terms.RPA complaint records are often used in a court of law as evidence against landlords Official complaints filed with the RPA provide a clear paper trail and provide tenants with documentation that can help them with a court case should they need to take their landlord to court The RPA's goal is to resolve each and every complaint, but unfortunately, that doesn't always happen To claim the RPA is somehow scamming people is and completely untrue. We have nothing more to add to this Revdex.com complaint as we have forwarded this to our legal department Our legal department is investigating these statements and if it is found that [redacted] is making such nonsense claims against our organization; we will have no choice but to defend against such libel in a court of law.We take libel seriously and we will use all resources available to our organization to protect against them We furthermore in good faith are providing this as written notice to the Revdex.com that this complaint against our organization is libel against our organization with no substance Should this complaint be allowed to go against our organization we will hold the Revdex.com liable for damages as there is no merit to these slanderous statements Please remove this complaint as it is unjustified and without merit Rental Protection AgencyLegal Department

As per the complaint filed by [redacted] It's unfortunate that their landlord failed to respond to our request to solve their rental related problem Under the terms of our service, the tenant ( [redacted] ) agreed that the fees are non-refundable regardless of the outcome However, we've gone ahead and processed a refund of $as per the request of the complaintHere is proof of the refund: [redacted] Refund Transaction ID : [redacted] We hope the tenant has better success in the future and wish them wellFeel free to contact us again with any further request. My Best,Scott P***DirectorRental Protection Agency

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I am rejecting the response in partWhen I tried to update/add info to the complaint I received a message stating "you can't response this case because case hadbeen closed." I have tried again as of this date and received the same messageEvery time I have called the RPA no one has answered and I was never offered voicemail I have called their main no [redacted] ***, their toll free no [redacted] ***, I have sent ticket no's [redacted] , [redacted] & [redacted] each time receiving the blanket response that my ticket was receivedI never received an answer to any of my inquiriesI have tried to live chat being told each time no one was availableAll the calls and live chat attempts were done during RPA's business hoursNot once since I have filed the complaint have I been able to speak with anyone about concerns or had any of my inquiries addressed. It is interesting to note that I had contact the Revdex.com in order to receive any response from the RPAEven in that there is no where in the RPA's response where a good working phone number was provided to meI understand the RPA cannot force a response in relation to my complaint, however, I expect that someone at the RPA would answer phone calls or be responsive to the live chat Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I paid two fees to RPAOne for them to be basically a mediator between my landlord and I for this infestation, and two, to be informed when the landlord had been notified by RPAto this date I have not been informed that RPA has been in touch with my landlord and according to the landlord they have received nothing from RPASo there have been no services provided at all and I should at this point be refunded the money for services that have not been providedThe RPA response seems to be the standard response and I would not mind it if they had provided some service, but again, they have not provided any service and have taken money from me that I did not have to just throw awayI have a small income and a child on the way, I have been taken advantage of by RPA, while in a dire situationThis is sad that RPA can hold out a ray of hope to those in need, and then just completely rip them off
Sincerely,
Denver S***

To: *** ***I'm in receipt of a complaint from the Revdex.com filed by: *** * *** ***The alleged complaint states that our organization, the Rental Protection Agency, has slandered her name with a derogatory public record. This is completely and
unjustified. First, our organization does not create reviews. We do however, much like the Revdex.com, allow tenants to file complaints and reviews against their landlords. The review posted online is from a person they had a landlord/tenant relationship with. All complaints go through a mediation process before they are made public and live. Filing a complaint against our organization does not merit a valid reason for the review to be taken down on our site. Doing so would undermind the validity of the complaint process. Under the first amendment, the RPA has the right to post and store reviews and complaint records. This is done in order to hold landlords liable for their actions and to warn or reward landlords based on their cooperation to solve complaints.Note: *** * *** *** is not one of our clients and is not using any paid services. This complaint is unjustified as we have not business dealings with this individual.Should this individual want to remove the record from our site, she can have the person that filed the complaint against her remove it, or she can go through our online dispute process which allows landlords to dispute records they feel are unfair. Our policies prohibit the removal of any review without going through the proper channels. --------------End of ResponseRental Protection Agency

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
The only problem is that debit card is no longer validIs there another way I can receive the refund?Thank you,
*** ***

In regards to the complaint. We completely understand the frustration *** *** has as his Landlord has failed to respond to our request to resolve his complaint. I've reviewed the complaint and have pushed out additional mailings to see if this can help resolve the tenant's
complaint with their landlord. Please understand that we can't force a landlord to respond to our request. However, we do have practices in place to do everything we can to get a resolution from their landlord. All complaints are sent out via written mail to the landlord. If the landlord fails to respond a second response is mailed out. Also, we send emails if the landlord email address was provided After all of this, if a landlord fails to respond we close the complaint and create a public record that is easily found in search engines. This process is a last opportunity for landlords to resolve complaints as they must respond to the complaint in order for the record to be removed We share *** ***'s frustrations when their landlord fails to cooperate with our request. We have, and will continue to reach out to their landlord in hopes that their landlord will respond and solve this issueIf the landlord continues to fail to respond we will create a public record which can result in the landlord being more motivated to respond. We work hard to help tenants resolve problems with their landlords. We will continue to work on this tenants case and reach out to their landlord.Thank you,

In regards to Case ID *** filed by *** * *** against the Rental Protection Agency. We're sorry to hear *** is unsatisfied with the online complaint process through the RPA website. We show here case as active and live and still pending a response from her landlord. The
Official Documentation of the complaint is only mailed out after the case has been closed. The RPA provides landlords with serveral opportunities to respond before the case is closed, however, the *** ***, can login to her complaint by using her assigned case number and pin number and close the case. Upon doing so, the system will be triggered to automatically send out the Official Case Details including all the information about mailings and responses or lack of responses made by the landlord.Since the landlord has failed to respond to the complaint, no new updates have been added to her open complaint case. Had the landlord responded, the case would have been updated to reflect the landlord's response.Unfortunately, the RPA cannot force a landlord to respond to complaints. We do however, send out mailings and emails to the landlord in hopes they will respond and resolve the complaint. Most landlords respond, but some don't. When this happens it results as a negative complaint record against the landlord and can make it more difficult for the landlord to fill vacancies. Although our refund policy is clear, I'd be happy to make a one-time exception and provide *** *** a full refund and cancel her case if she prefers. Otherwise, she will need to manage her case directly by logging in with her case number and pin. Chat support and email support are not able to discuss complaint details and require that all case management happens through the complaint management page. The RPA does everything in our power to help resolve tenant/ landlord complaints. ***'s complaint is still active, but she can close it if she'd like or if she prefers we cancel and refund we are happy to do that too. ------End of ResponseRental Protection Agency

I am rejecting this response because:You advertise as a mediation companyNo mediation was ever done in my case and it lists on your website this under my name: WARNING! This property/ landlord refused to mediate a fair resolution or response to this complaintLandlord refused to cooperate. This statement is utterly untrue as I have repeatedly tried to submit my responses and your website will not accept them (see screenshots)In addition, no one responds to phone calls or live chatsMy tenant paid money to your company to resolve things and NOTHING was ever mediated by Rental Protection AgencyThen your company pressures the landlord to pay up which I of course didn't fall forI don't really care that I'm listed on your measly website as having a derogatory record because no one would ever find it unless they went directly to your websiteThe point is that you never bothered to ask me for my response or mediate the situation.
Sincerely,
*** *** ***

I'm in receipt of a complaint filed by Denver S*** with the Revdex.com assigned case number ***The Rental Protection Agency received a complaint from Denver S*** about his landlord Our organization assigned case number *** The RPA uses a process to resolved landlord tenant
complaints which includes contacting the landlord about the complaint and providing the landlord an opportunity to respond While we wish the process was perfect, the end result is dependent on both the landlord and tenant agreeing on a solution According to the case records, the landlord has failed to comply with our notices We still show that the complaint is open which means we will continually contact the landlord in an effort to resolve the complaint If the tenant wishes, they can close the complaint which will result in a public record being generated Once a case is closed the responses or lack of responses by his landlord will be documented publicly and are generally picked up by all major search engines within a short time. Its frustrating for the RPA when landlords fail to resolve complaints However, this is not something we can control In most cases landlords are quick to respond to complaints and find a resolution with their tenant. On our complaint page we make it clear as to what is the process We further require the tenant to agree that the filing fees are non refundable prior to payment of any processing fees The RPA provides its service as a low cost option for tenants to resolve landlord tenant disputes However, we can't guarantee the outcome of any complaint as it relies on both the landlord and tenant to work with the complaint process As of now, the complaint is still in active status and I have had our complaint department review the complaint to determine if we can do anything further to help resolve the complaint We too, hope the landlord responds so we can resolve the matter

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I will not ask the Rental Protection Agency for a refund, because I still wish to use their services. I will follow their instructions and close my case so that the documentation I paid for will be sent to me. It would be very nice if the RPA could post these details on their website clearly, because I am not the first person that has had to go to the Revdex.com in order to find out information. I also do not understand why the RPA provides two telephone numbers and a live chat button if no one will answer. This could lead their clients to feel that they have been scammed into paying for services that they will not provide.
Sincerely,

They did not provide the services as agreed. When I filed the complaint on 11/21/2017 there were 5 things I needed from the landlord for a resolution to the bed bug problems, and RPA only listed one. I was unable to log on to their site. I tried and tried. I sent support tickets and they went unanswered, I tried to call them several times through their support line and it just ringed and ringed. In the support tickets I asked them about all my concerns, Like I did in the above complaint and nothing. They never followed through. You can try and try to log in and after about 30 times trying maybe you. I filed my complaint here and I asked for a refund, RPA could of and should of done so but refuse to so no I do not agree to just let it go. And take this lose. I am disabled and live on a fixed income. RPA took money with not providing what was agreed my landlord never received the complaint. By my understanding. And I asked RPA for a receipt from USPS that she did and nothing. If RPS was so concerned by customer satisfaction and by their reputation then do what I paid for. But you rather escaulate this over $64.95. If you just refunded my payment then I might of just removed my complaint and let it go. But it appears that will not happen.

I'm in receipt of a complaint notice filed by [redacted].  [redacted] has made false claims that the RPA is somehow a complete hoax and scam.  These claims are false and have no merit.  We find this tone and verbiage to be slanderous and libel in nature.  The RPA takes...

these false statements seriously and will defend against them.  The RPA has been in business for over 11 years and has helped thousands of tenants resolve landlord tenant disputes.  In no way do we claim to be a government agency.  All government agencies will use a .gov extension in their URL.  While the RPA works with many government agencies to resolve and educate tenants and landlords we are not a government agency and we don't make any claims of that nature.  Much like the Revdex.com, the RPA is set up to help tenants by providing them an official place to file complaints.  We cannot force landlords to comply and respond to our complaint notices, but in most cases, landlords do respond.  When a landlord fails to respond the case is eventually closed and counted against the landlord.  All complaint records become public information and are quickly indexed by all major search engines.   A negative complaint record can make it difficult for a landlord to fill vacancies with quality tenants.  The entire process is clearly explained on the complaint page where the tenant filed their complaint against their landlord and agreed to the terms.RPA complaint records are often used in a court of law as evidence against landlords.  Official complaints filed with the RPA provide a clear paper trail and provide tenants with documentation that can help them with a court case should they need to take their landlord to court.  The RPA's goal is to resolve each and every complaint, but unfortunately, that doesn't always happen.  To claim the RPA is somehow scamming people is false and completely untrue. We have nothing more to add to this Revdex.com complaint as we have forwarded this to our legal department.  Our legal department is investigating these statements and if it is found that [redacted] is making such nonsense false claims against our organization; we will have no choice but to defend against such libel in a court of law.We take libel seriously and we will use all resources available to our organization to protect against them.  We furthermore in good faith are providing this as written notice to the Revdex.com that this complaint against our organization is libel against our organization with no substance.  Should this complaint be allowed to go against our organization we will hold the Revdex.com liable for damages as there is no merit to these slanderous statements.  Please remove this complaint as it is unjustified and without merit.  Rental Protection AgencyLegal Department

I am rejecting this response because:I am rejecting the response in part. When I tried to update/add info to the complaint I received a message stating "you can't response this case because case had. been closed." I have tried again as of this date and received the...

same message. Every time I have called the RPA no one has answered and I was never offered voicemail.  I have called their main no. [redacted], their toll free no. [redacted], I have sent ticket no's [redacted] & [redacted] each time receiving the blanket response that my ticket was received. I never received an answer to any of my inquiries. I have tried to live chat being told each time no one was available. All the calls and live chat attempts were done during RPA's normal business hours. Not once since I have filed the complaint have I been able to speak with anyone about concerns or had any of my inquiries addressed. It is interesting to note that I had contact the Revdex.com in order to receive any response from the RPA. Even in that there is no where in the RPA's response where a good working phone number was provided to me. I understand the RPA cannot force a response in relation to my complaint, however, I expect that someone at the RPA would answer phone calls or be responsive to the live chat.
