[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:First we had called rental world twice before the date of delivery to assure they were dropping off at the correct locationNancy was one of the people who answered and assured us that the delivery would be made to the address of [redacted] , not the address for the credit card usedLuckily some one was at the address of the credit card and was able to stop the deliver man before unloading the slip n slideAlso if there was a problem with the driveway the driver would have had a problem with the driveway when delivering it to [redacted] ***? I believe he would have had a problem if there was something unusual with drive way when deliveringEspecially since we have had this slip n slide delivered in the past to the same address with no problemAlso when the driver came to pick up the slip n slide and damaged the drive way he came to the door and spoke with the home owner of the property and expressed it was clearly his fault and apologized and relayed that he would let his manger know and we should expect to here from the manager for the repair of the drive wayThis is why we are having such a hard time understanding why rental world feels they aren't responsibleIt is clearly there fault and there responsibility to pay for the repairing and sealing the drive way.As to the deposit for returning the slip n slide clean we did receive the deposit back a few days after submission to the Revdex.com Regards, [redacted]

June 21, 2016Received your letter of June 17, regarding the complaint by *** *** and I agree with everything in the letter except the portion when he stated that Hal started to get very nastyThe firm's position was stated to him whom quite obviously he does not agree.On June 6,
*** *** of *** *** *** in Audubon, Pa reserved by phone a weekend rental of a Slip and Slide inflatable wet slide to be delivered to *** *** *** on Friday June 10thOn arrival the driver was instructed not to unload the slide but to deliver it to *** *** *** in Audubon which the driver did with no incidentOn Monday when our driver went to pick up the item while backing onto the driveway the liftgate bar on the truck scrapped the drivewayThe driver did notify the resident of the scrap.The following day a person named *** called and spoke to Nancy asking what Rental World was going to do to correct the scrapeShe noted that Hal would have to make that decision that he was not in at the time*** did visit the Lansdale facility on Wednesday the 15th and asked for HalWhen he was told that I was out to lunch he said he would wait until I returned even if it took all dayThe counter person then discovered that Hal was not returning for day and so stated to *** at which point he leftHe called again around 8:15am on Thursday the 16th just as I was going to return his callHe identified himself as *** and would not give his last name or his relationship to ** ***I stated the firm's position as noted aboveI also mentioned to him that our driver had noted that the driveway went uphill from the street so while he was backing into the driveway the liftgate support of the truck scrapped the drivewayIt is our opinion that this occurred due to the design of the driveway that Rental World is not responsible for the damage considering that Rental World was instruction to deliver this item to that address and was not told not to use the drivewayHe called a day or so later noting that the conversation was being recorded that he had contacted the newspapers and they were going to print a story related to this incident noting our nameI again explained our position which should be recorded.This truck and driver have been making similar deliveries for the past ten years and this is the first incident of scratching a drivewayApparoximately 20-delivery and pick-ups were made with that truck and driver with not incidentWith that in mind Rental World does not assume any responsibility for the scratchIf the truck had traversed off the driveway onto the lawn or other part of the property without approval of the property owner we would accept responsibility but the truck was on the driveway which had to be used to make the delivery to the facility.Regarding the return of the deposit a credit card credit was issued on June 13th on return of the inflatable which normally takes a couple of weeks for the credit card firm to issue the credit to the customer for which Rental World is not responsiblePlease note that we did not attempt to increase the delivery charge due the requested change in change in delivery upon arrival of the designated location.The firm is in its 44th year of businessWe have received complaints in the past and have resolved the issue with the customer when it was a legitimate complaint but this is the first complaint of this type in the years so I question how it can be the truck or divers fault when backing into the driveway at *** ***.Enclosed is a copy of the delivery slip and safety instructions noting the change in delivery site.Respectfully,Harold *K
