We do not manage this property, cannot speak to their situation, and have NO
control over how their landlord chooses to address their complaints

Our role is to negotiate leasing arrangements between tenants and homeownersWhile we represent homeowners, we can only try to influence and pass along their decisionsMuch of the specifics are outside of our controlThe homeowner refused any action on the following tenant's complaints
In general, the tenant was very unhappy from the beginning so we did offer a Lease Termination, allowing her to get out of the lease, only paying for the time she lived in the propertyShe refused the offer
Unfortunately there was a lack of clarification between the homeowner and the tenant as to if the washing machine and dryer were included/warrantied with the propertyBecause of that, we agreed to put a different washer in the property at our cost (homeowner's are normally responsible for covering maintenance costs)The dryer was looked at by a technician and deemed operational at our costA washing machine was installed on April
The water has never been determined to be unsafeThe resident has every right to purchase drinking water, or to use other equipmentThere is no indication in the lease that drinking water or a water softener would be included in rentThe leasing agent said she did not ever make any promises about there not being any additional costs, it would not be reasonable to make that claim
The home does not have a vent in the 3rd bedroom which is upstairs, it never hasHeat rises and the room has always been sufficiently warm as a resultThe tenant has the right to use a space heater
The first time the tenant reported a gas smell the result was that it smelled due to the tank being low, which is (per the gas company)The tenant reported a continued gas smellThe homeowner went to the property to assess for a possible gas smellHe said it did not smell like gasThe tenant was told she had every right to call for service on her ownIf she did and anything was found, we agreed to reimburse her for her expenses
We have spent quite a bit of time trying to resolve this between the homeowner and the tenantWe believe we have exhausted our options at this point
