September 6, 2017To: *** *** In response to your complaint regarding the Jeep Liberty that was purchased by you on 6-2-2017.This vehicle was never offered with a warranty because of age and the miles being over 150,000.Our salesperson Vince recalled you saying that you were going to
have this vehicle checked out byyour mechanic when you were first viewing the vehicleIt is our understanding that you did this. When you purchased the Jeep and took possession of it it was explained to you why you were signingthe Washington State Implied Warranty Statement and why it was being waived due to age and miles ofthe vehicle. When you came back approximately weeks later to pick up your new license plates for the Jeep fromVince he was never made aware that there was any problems and that you seemed happy with yourpurchase.I was not made aware that there were any problems until I received this letter from Revdex.comWe do try tooffer help if there is a problem with a vehicleIf you would have made your issues aware to eithermyself or Vince we could have had our mechanic look at the vehicle for you and given you an estimateto try to save you some of the costs that you had to incurBased on what I understand you had to havefixed on the vehicle and the amount it ended up costing you I can tell you we could have saved you atleast half of what your mechanic charged youUnfortunately because it has been over months andbecause you did not bring it to our attention before you went ahead with the repairs I will not reimburseyou for your costsHowever what I will do is offer you to have an estimate done by our mechanic ifyou happen to experience any more issues with your JeepIn most cases using our mechanic will saveyou money and in some cases quite a bit of money. If you have any additional problems or questions please feel free to contact Vince at Renton AutoSales .Sincerely,Chris B***

I am rejecting this response because:Not once did I ever mention taking the jeep to my mechanic. Not EVER! In fact, I never drove it off the lot. I had Vince start it up and pop the hood. I mentioned the serpentine belt was chirpping. He it was dry and needed to be lubricated.I do not remember explaining this washington state form that I supposedly signed. The check engine light came the first time I drove it, but I didnt mention it to Vince when I picked up the plates because I just found out my dog has cancer. Suddenly car repairs became the least of my problems. Not sure what he means when he says I surpassed 90 days without telling him. I have enclosed photos of the estimate on 8/23 and I filed this complaint on 8/24. I scheduled and paid for the repairs 3 full weeks after filing. So his reasons for not paying are not justified. He was also the one who took my jeep to his mechanic. I had to wait for over 2 hours while his mechanic did work on it. So he cant say he didnt know about how bad it was. If I dont get reimbursed, I will take him to small claims court. I'll give them bad reviews and tell everyone how bad they are. Word of mouth is EVERYTHING in the car business.
Sincerely,
