Review: I purchased three appliances a stovetop, downdraft and dishwasher from renwes on 11/24/2015. Total bill$2783.16. The installer came on 11/25/2015, initially the installer was complaining that the water valve was originally designed for copper and he needed a copper to 3/4 inch adapter to install it. So I went out to purchase his adapter. In the end we didn't need it since the dishwasher was damaged on delivery. When I clearly pointed out the bracket on one side was completely bent out of shape he agreed it needed to be returned. Over the next 5-7 hours the installer could not correctly cut the top to size so that the stove top would fit in. In his multiple attempts to cut and install he scratched the stove top by the knobs. When he installed the downdraft he didn't tape up everything prior to install, so air was blowing everywhere inside the cabinet. I told him he needed to seal it first and he said "we don't do many down drafts". By then he had finally FORCED the stove in place, which not only scratched but literally tore off the paint from the edged of the downdraft. He left me tape to try and finish the job.

I talked to [redacted] & they are going to come back out with the new dishwasher on Friday with touch up for the downdraft & they will make sure the ventilation is all done correctly.

No show by installers and I was told they did not have me schedules.

Renwes reply: I had a conversation 2 days ago with her & with [redacted] about doing this today but I guess that didn't happen. I did talk to [redacted] today & she said that she talked to you to reschedule for next Saturday 12/12/2015.

2nd installer arrives, no touch up paint and only wants to install the dishwasher. Told him, not until downdraft is fixed, the installer didn't agree and left. I spoke to [redacted]g the mgr at [redacted] and he told me he would be sending out someone certified to “inspect” the installation and if not done correctly would facilitate a call w suncoast.Desired Settlement: Option 1: Really should have the stove and downdraft REPLACED for a NEW / UNDAMAGED unit, with installation cost for both covered by Renwes, then I will accept delivery of dishwasher and pay for the dishwasher install. With ANOTHER INSTALLER!

Option 2: Renwes to cover charges for a DIFFERENT INSTALLER to come out and fix the issues caused by Suncoast and to cover the cost, then I will accept delivery of dishwasher and pay for dishwasher installation.

Option 3: Refund me cost of installation $250 check + $40 cash, credit my credit card for the dishwasher $969 + 77.52 tax for a total of 1046.52. I will not tolerate any restocking fees since it was never delivered, installer voluntarily left the second time.

Hello [redacted], Happy New Year! I am writing in reply to claim [redacted]. I wanted you and Revdex.com to know we are looking to facilitate the discussion between homeowner and the outside installer – Sun Coast (as stated in original claim). Renwes sold the downdraft in question, determined yesterday to be functioning per specification. A factory authorized agent went and tested the unit yesterday; December 28th (findings attached). We, Renwes, did not contract the installer, nor were we paid for the installation of the down draft. My discussion with [redacted] was, if the unit is determined not to be functioning per specification, this would be product warranty issue and It would be Renwes’s responsibility to work with the factory to resolve or replace… but since this is determined to be other, Renwes would like Sun Coast to resolve this with [redacted] the homeowner directly. Other notables:· After Sun Coast’s original installation, [redacted] attempted to seal unit with tape left by installer.· Sun Coast made 3 cuts in the countertop for which they are looking to be paid – total not known, and to be settled between homeowner and installer.· [redacted] and [redacted] are not Renwes employees.· Original bent dishwasher was replaced for new unit, then new unit was credited due to installer not being able to gain access (no restocking fees were charged).· I have spoken to [redacted] at Sun Coast and he is willing to resolve this with the homeowner… removing and reinstalling. Regarding the un-installed dishwasher, (returned to Renwes by Sun Coast after they were not permitted to install until down draft issue was resolved) it was credited to the homeowners, [redacted], credit card. I’ll look to speak with [redacted] next week to see about allowing Sun Coast to resolve installation challenges and settle any open concerns. Renwes takes pride in its people and products… If this was determined to be a product challenge, we would work with the manufacturer to resolve expeditiously. Our goal is to have loyal customers come back year after year… this is only achievable by having a top quality experienced sales team backed by reputable and reliable manufactures.
