provide the client with an estimate and contact a licensed contractor. I give him/her my estimate for the work. It is up to the licensee to sign a contract with the client and I receive compensation from the contractor for supplying the sales lead. [redacted] Grosse contacted me to convert a closet in her 4,000 Sq Ft house into a bathroom. She wanted said bathroom to be designed around a piece of furniture that cost $1,800. She sent me pictures of the "vanity" and the space she wanted to build around it. I gave her an estimate based on those pictures. The estimate clearly stated I would need access to the crawlspace below to "tie in" drains from new bathroom. The amount of this estimate was $1420.
I then went to the property to verify conditions. The space was not as she described it. There was no crawlspace below. The house was built on a concrete pad. The first estimate clearly stated we would need access to the crawlspace. I told [redacted] the first estimate was void because of her omission. I would generate another estimate based on the actual site conditions. This estimate was for $3,965. This included cutting the concrete floor with a rented diamond blade saw at the new bathroom and existing adjacent bathroom and excavating the earth below to expose the drain plumbing. She became irate because of the cost increase.
I committed to revise the estimate. During this time [redacted] made changes to the scope of work daily, sometimes hourly. Some examples are:

Vanity was out of stock
She ordered a new vanity. vanity was 5' long and 8' high
We had to redesign space around that,
New estimate.
The vanity arrived and was damaged.
She ordered a different vanity
She changed the placement,
New estimate
First she wanted glass block walls,
then she didn't,
New estimate
She changed the position of the bathroom components, New estimate.
She changed the bathroom finish in the existing bathroom, New estimate
She changed the finishes in the new bathroomNew estimate

This is not a complete list. I generated 8 estimates within a 5 day period based on the changes she made. Frankly, I couldn't generate estimates fast enough to have one estimate that was current.
[redacted] was still complaining about the price. Once the flurry of changes had subsided, I told [redacted] I would do one last estimate. Instead of a line item estimate I would take the job as a whole and see if I could save her money. I gave her a price of $2538. I  told [redacted], I could only do this project for this price if she made no more changes and whoever did the work was to do the work in it's entirity. She agreed. I didn't receive any thanks for taking $1500 out of my profit.
As thanks for my efforts,  [redacted] contacted me and told me the price was still too high. She told me she and her husband would do some of the work themselves.

They took out the cabinets.
They demo'd a wall.
They removed a door
they removed a tub.
The removed floor and wall tile in the adjacent bathroom
They didn't want floor or site protection in the areas leading to the construction zone.

Because of their efforts, the last estiimate I gave them became void. Whoever would do the work would loose money because [redacted] stripped down an already "at cost" estimate.
She started insisting we start work even though we had no estimate in place nor did I have a contractor in place.
I commited to have one person on the job for one day to do the sawcut, she would pay for the rental. This I did on a Friday. At the end of that day [redacted] gave me $500 (all I'm legally allowed to receive). It was my intention to pass the work off to a contractor later that day. I did not receive responses right away so I canceled work on that Saturday.
[redacted] became incensed. She demanded her $500 back. she and her husband "power dialed" my phone to the point I could not receive calls from other clients or contractors who might be interested in doing her job. I had to block her numbers so I could have the use of my cell phone back.
I had enough. I bent over backwards to help this client to get the product she wanted at the price she wanted. I didn't even receive a "thank you" when I took $1500 out of my profits so she could have her bathroom for a better price. My "thank you" was to be called a liar and a thief.
I washed my hands of this client. I sent her a receipt for the [redacted] rental $204, together with a bill for one days labor for one man, $320. Total invoce was for $524. I gave her a credit of $24. Total invoice for $500. PAID IN FULL.
I told her any other work would have to be paid for one day at a time, in advance. There would be no more estimates. However, I suggested she find her own licensed contractor to do the work. Given the circumstances, I would be unable to find a contractor to do her project.
[redacted] has continually threatened me. She contacted her communty security stating "They were reviewing the video tape" whatever that means. She contacted Placer County sherriffs dept. I had a phone conversation with a deputy who was at her residence. She has contacted the Contractor Labor Board even though no laws were broken. Now she has contacted the Revdex.com.
I did everthing in my power to make this client happy and give her the product she wanted at a price  she wanted.

Review: Found [redacted], owner of REO Logistics in Sacramento via craigslist, and hired him for installing an additional bathroom. Estimate for the steps of his work scheduled for the first day was $218.00 (altogether $2,538.00). He was supposed to start on Wednesday, March 11th, but canceled on March 10th at 5:23 pm because he was still busy with a different job. On March 11th, he canceled again for starting on March 12th. Assured he would be here on Friday, the 13th at 10 am. On Friday, he arrived at 10:30 am with another man called [redacted]. He instructed [redacted] what to do, and left. [redacted] had to leave at 4 pm and couldn't finish the job but promised to be back on Saturday at 9 am to finish up his job.[redacted] came back around 5 pm to get the rented saw and the jackhammer he wanted to return to [redacted]. We agreed that he would get the material (pipes etc.) for the next day so that [redacted] could start right in the morning. He demanded $500 from me for the rental fee and the material in cash. I gave it to him even though he didn't provide a receipt. On Saturday, March 14th, he wrote an email at 9:15 am (when he was supposed to be at [redacted] at 8 am to get material with my money). He claimed that [redacted] couldn't work that day due to a family emergency, but that he would come later the day to adjust his estimate.I called several times but he didn't pick up the phone. He also didn't show up later the day. I attempted daily to get in touch with him demanding part of the money back but he claimed that he paid $300 to [redacted] (and $200 was for rental fee). He admitted in writing that nothing was wrong with [redacted] that morning but that he first wanted to rewrite his estimate. He also never provided a receipt nor bill for [redacted]'s work but demanded another $300 in advance for next day's labor. We have no full name or contact information from [redacted] to check back with him whether he was truly paid but found online that people who worked for [redacted] complained never to have gotten paid either.Desired Settlement: $150 refund of the $500. Material was never bought, and job unfinished.Provide bill and contact information of [redacted] as proof that he was paid.

Review: Services provided claim to be warranteed for 5 years, per comany/owner policy. My [rental] home had numerous tasks performed to it the problem at this juncture is a whole house exterior paint job. The task to be performed was to be done by a 'roller' methoed of application, per agreement and design between myself and eric [redacted]/service provider. The paint task was done with a spraying process [an easier method] which did not provide for full paint coverage on the house surface. It appears the paint was over watered and therefore the paint went on too thin in consistancy. The entire job can be viewed as sparingly applied paint that simply does not give the coverage a paint job should. The old paint is fully visible throughout the entire house.\Numerous and many calls to the service provider do get returned regarding the warrantee guarantees!! The service provider subed the job out, as I was told, and therefore was not at location to give directon on the painting technique or to overview the final job. Upon informing him of that inadequate application he indicated he would validate and adjust things as necessary. At this juncture there has been no follow-up to corrective actions and I have contacted another painting service as to their suggestions on how to fix the inadequacies of the current problem. They say the only salvation is a complete repaint. I would allow Mr. [redacted] the opportunity to recover his inapproprieate paint service under warrantee as promised......but am getting no contact responses from him and or his services.I suggest he refund my entire paid paint services agreement so that I can get the task/job performed properly. I can wait no longer for his replys or delays, I must move forward with my needs as I now have other concerns for repairs ........ I cannot trust for Mr [redacted]/services to engage in. Time is too costly to wait any longer.Desired Settlement: Refund ASAP, or immediate corrective action response.
