contractor will not return to repair cracked grout lines in work less than six months old.contractor will not return calls about the cracked grout lines in bath tile remodel. I have left numerous messages and I have had no response. Work is only six months old. No cracks should appear. There were no cracks in the old tile that was replaced.Desired SettlementI just want the grout repaired in a professional manner so water doesn't get behind the tile and ruin the whole shower area.Business Response Hi my name is [redacted]! I have a case # XXXXXXXX that is unresolved and I would like to add my side to this situation, Mr. [redacted] knew from the first consultation that I have an unconditional warranty for 3 months from the time of installation covering parts and labor. I am a 1 man show and from time to time get upside down busy. I did the tub and shower replacement for Mr. [redacted] in July 2014. He gave me a call in 2-15 and complained about there being a crack in the grout, I told him I would be glad to come fix the grout crack but he needed to understand that he was way out of warranty, and that I was very busy at the time. To that he said that if I had done a professional job it wouldn't have happened, I told him he didn't need to be that way this like this happen and that I could come over but it would be in a week or so cause I was even working Sunday to catch up, I also told him if he would just apply a bit of silicon to the crack till I could get there I could remove it and regrout it then, he said [redacted] no! I paid for a professional job and thats what Im gonna have even if I have to pay someone else to do it! I said well thats up to you but if you can wait my offer still stand to repair your grout. and before I was able to get back with him he had already filed the complaint. So I called him and told him I couldn't believe he would do something like this even after I tried to help him, His reply was I told you I was going to have it done by a professional even if I had to pay for it now you are gonna pay for it cause every one that checks you at Revdex.com will see my complaint! So this pretty much tied my hands from going back to his job to fix a tiny grout crack. In his haste to complain about my company he made sure that he didn't mention the rotted plywood I found and replaced under the tub at no extra charge, and the paint that I bought to do touch ups around the tile surround when his paint was dried up, or how he tried to blame me for stains in his carpet that his previous renter left even though I lay out throw rugs from the bathroom to the front door when I work. Mr [redacted] let me know that his wife health is not so good these days and I know that it is taking a toll on his life, I am sorry about that! And I know he is not a very happy person these day, But he could have had the repair done if he had just waited a few days more.
