Republic Roofing & Painting

I contacted this business to get a quote for exterior house paintingHe stated that he will swing by that same day in the afternoon and he will leave the quote in the mailboxOn this same day after he came, he called me to let me know that he did came and he mentioned that he saw a sign in my yard of a roofing companyThe Principal mentioned that his company also does roofing and that if I want he can the roof and thra bonus of replacing the gutter and painting the fascia for freeI explained to him that the roofer is already scheduled to replace the roof the following day and that the only thing I need right now is someone to do the paintingI then asked him if he left the written quote in the mailbox and he said "No" because he forgot to bring the paper with him and that he will stop by the following day to do so In my thought: "Duh??? Forgot the paper??? Your purpose for going to my house is to give me a quote and you forgot the paper to fill-in???"
The following day I called the Principal to ask if his company can also remove the gutter and explaining that at this point I am not ready to replace it yetI'm simply looking for someone to remove the gutters and haul them away
Principal: "Is it today that they are putting your new roof?"
Me: "Yes, that is correctThey are working on it now."
Principal: "You could have let me do that (with annoyed tone in his voice)As I said, I can even replace the gutter for you along with the roof"
(I was just quiet at this point trying to be patient and control my temper because, in the first place, I called him not to talk about the roof but rather to get a quote for gutter removal.)
To make the story short, I finally said (after listening to his "weepings and lamentations" that I don't need to hear anyway): "When do you think you can come to remove the gutters? And I will wait for your written quoteYou can leave it in the mailbox."
Principal responded (still with annoyed tone in his voice): "I do not know yetMy guys are busy."
With me almost losing my temper just simply said: "OK"Then I haand ended the callA week has passed and I haven't also received the written quote for the paint for himBeware to DFW residents of this very unprofessional and very rude "Principal"I say, that he's doing a "monkey-business" if this is how he responds and talks to his clientsUnbelievable how businesses like this makes business and dealingsAll because I upset him for not allowing him to do my roof???!!! The dealings with roof business is over withMy reason for contacting this company is to get assistance with gutter removal and painting job---WAKE UP!!!
