I live behind Disney, next to the Hotel The VIV. I called republic today 1/6/23 because trash is not collected Friday at noon time. I am writing this review at (9:00 pm), still, garbage has not been collected. Collection day is Wednesday, but only once since I moved here in October of 2022, trash collected on Wednesday. Recycle collection every Wednesday. I don't know why Anaheim utilities hired republic trash, customer service is very poor and trash collection is awful. I won't be surprised if rats and other rodents will be around this new community. Getting trash can when I moved took the city of anaheim sanitary engineer to call republic to deliver the trash can. Such a beautiful city trash by trash company.

This company was charging my mother $283.26 every three months for residential trash pickup. I called them in April to cancel services. After a discussion, the service rep said they could put her on the annual plan for the same $283.26 and she would not owe any money until February 2021. The service rep stated she would backdate to ensure the March payment covered March 2020 through February 2021. I agreed to it. My mother continued to receive bills for quarterly services. I called twice in June and six times in July. Every time, I was assured the problem was rectified and she would no longer receive billing statements. Well, after finally talking to someone name Cheryl around July 26 and after my mom was put in "service interruption" she stated she found the problem and would get it fixed immediately. I forgot to say while things were being "fixed" she received another bill for $160. Cheryl called and left me a voicemail stating the issue had been fixed but my mom needed to pay the $160. My next call, I spoke to Monica who said she found the problem and would get it fixed. Well, that didn't happen either. Monica stated she would call back once she spoke to the billing department. She called back to inform me she had not heard back from them. I never heard from her again. I called again on August 3 to cancel services. I was told there is a $30 per can fee for pickup and it would be September 3 before they picked up the cans. Yesterday, August 6, we received another invoice for $195. The original $160 and $35 service interruption fee. Neither me, nor anyone I know will deal with Republic services again. As a side note, my father was also receiving trash pickup from Republic Services for $95 every three months! $283 vs $95 for the same service. My parents live 5 miles apart. He will no longer be using their services either.

I have used this company for 9 years and decided to switch because they stopped picking up yard waste due to COVID-19. I looked around and other companies in the area are still picking up and I found one that was way cheaper. They were willing to try and match the other prices but I explained I really need yard waste and that was the main reason. I was then told it was a $30 removal fee per container. I have three containers so $90 and then they are not even picking up the containers for a month! At first I felt bad for leaving the company but after that, I am so glad I am.

This company has not picked up our trash in 3 weeks.
We recently contracted Republic trash services to do our trash pick up weekly. We have only had the company for four weeks. The first week they picked up our trash on Friday as agreed. However, for the last three weeks they have not picked up our trash. Our trash has been sitting on the corner of our house waiting for them to pick it up for three weeks. We have called the company several times to schedule a pick up since they did not come and for three weeks they have agreed and still never showed up. We have paid this company and have gotten no service that was agreed upon. We are very unhappy and tired of our trash situation.

Desired Outcome

We want our trash picked up as agreed on every Friday of every week!

According to the City of Haverhill Massachusetts dumpster regulations, no dumpsters in a residential area is allowed to be emptied before 7am. Republic services is consistently picking up anywhere between 3:30 am (which is most frequent) and 6am. Why on earth would a company believe it is acceptable to pick up a metal dumpster, using hydraulic lifts at that time of day in a residential area? I have video evidence and when I was about to go outside to speak with one of them, another resident in my building was already out there asking them the same questions. It is against the cities code of conduct. I want to sleep, and not be woken up more then three times a week by my building's dumpster being emptied. Their pick ups last over 10 minutes each as well. Even with windows shut, it is waking up the majority of the residents who face the parking lot where the dumpsters are located. This needs to be resolved as it is impeding on mine and other people's quality of life. I want this matter resolved as soon as possible, with pick ups happening after 7am. I do not want to out my address in a public post, so someone can reach out privately to get the address. As the Revdex.coms page will no allow me to issue it was a complaint for whatever reason, I want someone to reach out to me about this ASAP.

For awhile now my trash/recycling service has been horrible. Missed pick ups many times the last 2 months.
I'm paying for a service that I am not receiving. Sept my recycling never got picked up. Now it's trash. Tried to cancel today and they said I have to pay for Oct. as well. I ask why, for 2 months of head aches. This is the worst service in Colorado ever. No one will call or find out why the problem exists. Just taking people's money for no service. I would like a refund for the last 2 months.

Desired Outcome

A refund is all I want, and take your cans away in a timely manner. I feel they take advantage of Colorado customers and don't care and provide a service they can't handle or do. Maybe they should leave Colorado.

Republic charging for final can pick up after they previously said all charges have been paid.
Wr ended our Republic service at the end of July. At that time, they confirmed to me verbally that we do not owe any more charges and that the amount that I was paying to covet services through end of July would be the final amount. I received an invoice today for $59. I thought it was an error, so I called them and was told it is for final can pick up and that it is per my contract. I complained on the phone today and explained the conversation I had at the beginning of July. She apologized and said the amount is still owed. Republic did not honor the contract since they continually missed trash pickups (sometimes 2 weeks in a row). I placed 8-10 calls to them over a couple of months over missed pickups and promised makeup pickups that took several more days to take place. This is the reason we switched service providers (as has most of Barrow County). I do not feel I owe these additional random charges, especially after I was told nothing more would be owed.

Desired Outcome

I feel the $59 Republic Is saying we owe should be waived.

Charged unnecessary fees over and over and never given the disability discount as promised
I was supposed to get the $44.99 discount because I am 109% disabled and this did not happen. Disability approved 10/1/2017. I was also charged fees of $35 on multiple occasions when I called to make arrangements. I also have emails of arrangements made then service cut off even when I was told service would not be.

Desired Outcome

I was ALL $35 fees waived, a full credit to my account of all funds back dated to $45.99 from disability date and I don't want this service because they discriminate and lie

My trash pick up contract states that in addition to my trash can, I am entitled to 5 bags of trash picked up weekly. I have called every week for 6 weeks because they are not picking up the additional bags. Customer service has not resolved the issue. First, they argued they did not know if the additional bags were recycling. My response: My contract does not permit me to leave additional recycling outside of my can. Also, I would not put recycling in a plastic trash bag. Next, they said I left trash piled too high in my can. My response: that should have no bearing on them picking up the bags on the side of my can. Finally, they said I left too much. The most I have ever left was 4 bags this week. The reason I had so much is they have not been picking up trash next to my can for the last 6 weeks, so it is piling up.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I want out to discontinue service with them without having to pay a fee for trash can pick up. I should not have to pay when I have upheld my end of our agreement. I want a refund for the last 6 weeks of trash service for which I paid.

This is the second time that I have made a complaint with this company. They have failed to pick up my trash for the third time in six months I have tried to call and they stated that they cannot come until next week.

Our community pays these personnel over 2,000.00 a week in services for our association and they do this quite a bit

Just to note I have witnessed them looking in the trash can and if they deemed that the trash can is not filled over flowing they leave the trash in the bin. This is unacceptable to to single household residents

These people are not performing satisfactorily in my opinion because they are leaving trash behind

not placing containers back the way they found them and leaving trash on the streets

Billing Adjustment Is it at all possible for me to receive my portion of the money that I had to pay to have my trash pickup' Since I had to pay through my dues, can I receive a refund since they breached their portion of the contract I would like them to come out tomorrow 1 Feb 2019 to retrieve my trash

I have have only been with the company now for 1 month. Out of the 4 weeks so far my trash has only been picked up twice. Neither day that it was picked up was not on the scheduled day. It has always been on the "rescheduled" day. I have been told multiple times that I will be contacted by a manager, have yet to hear from one. When I call and ask to speak to a manager, the person I am talking to says they manager cant tell me anything more that what they can at that present time and refuses to put me through. I have had to call every week to have my service rescheduled and even when it is, its still not picked up as of this past Friday it was my rescheduled day and it was about 10am or a little after and the trash truck drove up to my can looked at it and passed it by. I call to the call center to report the missed pickup and I was assured that it would be picked up on Friday by the end of the day and here we are on Monday and my trash has yet to be picked up. Called to reschedule yet another pick up and now my pick up is usually on Wednesday so we will see if my recycle get picked up this week as well. Not a good company to have service with at all. Wouldn't recomend them to anyone.

Republic Trash Services (and its predecessors) have been our trash removal service for 19 years, with no problems.

In the past 6 weeks however, they did not pick up the trash 3 out of 6 weeks, some despite of my reporting the lack of pickup.
This past week they were supposed to pick up the trash on Thursday, They did not, I called them on Thursday evening, they promised to schedule a make up pickup for Friday. They also did not do that on Friday.
I called and asked a report to be filed with their supervisor as now this problem has reoccurred 3 times in 6 weeks. They filed a report, the case # is ***.
They told me I should hear from the supervisor within 24 hours. If I do not get a call back I have to call them again.
Saturday I filed a web-based report with them about this on their website as I never heard from a supervisor. That complaint of mine too has not been answered yet.

Today I spent over an hour on the phone trying to reach them. 40 min wait then an operator came on promising to bring a supervisor on the line. Then she hung up. Then I called again a second operator came on and apologized, she said she will stay on the line until the supervisor comes on, that is not what happened, she too put me on hold then hung up.

I called a them a third time (now more than an hour on the phone trying to reach a responsible person) and I asked them to call me back as I do not have another hour waiting for them to come on the line only to hang up on me again (happened twice today).

I am a customer who prepays the entire annual fee a year on advance for 19 years.
I, and everyone else, deserve a more professional treatment and a way better service.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) Please publicly report this extremely poor service and have the company give credit to us for all missed services. In addition, they need to guarantee for us of the high quality timely service we have received in the past 19 years. Weather related delays are understandable, poor service (and mistreatment of the customer with the customer service) like I described here is unacceptable.

I totally agree with all of the complaints that has already been filed. Failed to pick up trash or trash can on time and charged the $22 pick up container fee
