Review: I was hiring a professional through the [redacted] web site to refinish my bathtub. I explained to him what I wanted to do, which was to refinish my small bathroom. He recommended [redacted] of RES-COM Tile. Mr. [redacted] came to my [redacted] and made a proposal of what he could do to refinish my bathroom. I told him I had a budget of not more than $5,000. He proceeded to do the job, but needed $2,000 first for material. I later realized he used material he already had from other jobs. He started out coming every day, then he wasn't coming as regularly, then he needed $1,800 more, and he was coming less and less with every excuse in the book. I wound up giving him another $650, like a fool, for a total of $4,450. He was always assuring me he would get it done. I trusted him. Finally, I got so frustrated with him never showing up, I gave up. My husband had recently died and I had to put my house up for sale. I needed to get the job done. I was totally frustrated and upset. I would like him to reimburse me for a job not completed and material he didn't have to buy but already had. He also used slate I had left over from another flooring job to do the floor of the bathroom. The only other thing he bought was a cheap medicine cabinet from [redacted] This man is totally without scruples or compassion.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for a job not completed. This man took advantage of my circumstances and my vulnerability. He should not be in business. He has never reached out or felt badly that he took money for a job not completed.
