Decking was damaged and has melted asphalt all over it repairs were agreed to and not completed. Also advertising issues were found.
We are unhappy with the damages to our deck as a result of the roofing installation. We were promised exterior areas would have coverage by ***. Since they were not and damages were seen we asked for repairs in the form of re-staining areas affected since the stain on the deck was only 1 month old. He agreed after multiple texts and a long phone conversation to correct the multiple areas on the deck that were affected permanently. however, this was done only in one area affected and did not cover the entirety of our complaint. I asked for the deck to be blown off to avoid the asphalt being melted into my deck directly after the roof installation. Which is why I asked them to come fix it with stain. However, the deck was left with asphalt roofing material covering it and was not blown off in a timely manner resulting in many melted asphalt stains left on the deck. No resolution for this has been completed, only one section was re-stained when multiple areas looked the same as the one they actually paid attention to. Daniels lack of professionalism and extreme attitude issues dont help. he told me I over communicated with him and picked at me personally. Follow up photos were taken 11/17/2019 showing current conditions. I did this to show that after multiple rains this material from the roof did permanent damage to my deck. I had just had my deck power washed and stained one month prior to this roofing installation. I do not want my deck speckled with black spots and scratches.
I asked on October 14th how we would close the job out (seeking some sort of communication since I hadnt gotten any word at all and he never came out to complete a final walk through after the work was started/stopped I had no idea where this all fell) I at that point did not even receive a warranty or any information about that possibility until oct 13th. This was finally received 12/13/2019. This all started in August.
The lack of professionalism to simply resolve issues, give updates or simply reply to an email in a timely manner after the roofing installation damages were communicated is unacceptable. Multiple times *** sent crews out to our home without our knowledge when I specifically asked for him to let us know in advance. It is our home and he does not have a right to just show up any time he wants. after being lied to about the Revdex.com rating and the way he talks we were not in a trusting relationship for him to continue to disregard me as a client. (all documented) About the lying - we have uncovered other issues we feel are misleading. We received a card from *** prior to our work authorization being signed that indicated this business (***) has an A+ business rating on the Revdex.com. The A+ Revdex.com rating was also on the work authorization that was provided and signed. As of that date (August) *** was not even a member for long nor had they even gotten a review to have a rating (copies of that can be provided if requested) or even today for that matter this is just not true for the business. This is directly false advertising and after having this this many issues I feel like I was extremely misled. (Copies of this discovery with the Revdex.com, business card as well as the work authorization sent directly from *** with the false Revdex.com rating are documented and can be provided upon request).

Desired Outcome

I send *** a resolution document to which he just attacked me and then tried backtracking on what we agreed upon. Due to the false advertising i feel i was misled and having issues with the way *** speaks to women as well as the actual damages to my deck have been really overwhelming. I have to now have the contractor sand/stain my deck to remove the melted asphalt due to this process i was told would be covered then corrected. The resolution document (i can send directly if needed) was to adjust the balance to mitigate the damages to my deck. I asked for a $1500 reduction and to issue payment to *** in the amount of $1,000 to have this resolved. I asked *** if we could agree to avoid further issue and he did not reply to my last email.

Regarding the extra repairs for ***:
The deck was not damaged due to our installation of their new roof and they did not have anything melted onto it. I agreed to re-stain the hand rail as it had sections that were scratched and to appease the homeowner we also cleaned mud from her siding because she claimed we splattered mud. I also repainted areas of her trim because she claimed we damaged her rotted wood.
We went above and beyond to help. Granules are not asphalt and there will be granular loss for the life of the roof. The claim that asphalt is melting onto the deck is false. I went back to the house multiple times to fix things that we did not cause.
The claim that I have a problem with women is also false. I have continued to conduct my responses professionally as seen in text. *** has been difficult to deal with and her constant berate of text messages on Labor Day were responded to with professionalism, only to be responded back with accusations and more text messages. Please see attached images.
PCS went over and above to clean different areas of the house, to re-paint areas that we did not damage and re-stain areas of her deck. She still has not paid her balance and which I believe to be the real issue here. You can read the text messages. I received 15 phone calls in a row on Labor Day from *** and after a 5 min phone call was hung up on and then responded to rudely. I have conducted myself professionally and believe we have completed over and beyond the contracted work. I even offered to talk to the "handyman" that messed up her previous repairs and she would never produce that information.
As far as the A+ Revdex.com rating, our rating was recently moved to an A- only due to "time in business". The owner of PCS just reapplied and rebranded the company after leaving a partnership and starting his own company. Due to TN state law, because he had over 25% ownership in the partnership, he had to dissolve and reapply, so although he has been doing business for 7 years, to the Revdex.com this is a new business and we must wait until the company has been operating under PCS for three years. We have updated all marketing materials accordingly.
All this being said, the owner of the company will be in touch with Ms. to come to an amicable resolution for both parties going forward.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Nothing he claims in his rebuttal is true. Expect that I was a bit rude because he is a condescending man didnt want to accept responsibility for damages. images were provided by me to show melted roofing material on my deck. I am not sure how this mans eyes do not work and he can lie like that and I still havent gotten any response from the actual owner of the business.

The owner of PCS set up a meeting with Ms. for January 24th to come to a resolution. Ms. called the morning of the 24th needing to cancel. We will be reaching out to Ms. today to coordinate another time to meet.

not quite sure why it takes 4 business days to return a phone call. I called in the morning since my child was injured and I wasnt able to make the meeting. This is seriously prolonged. I still have not received a call to reschedule.
